About a year ago, I was looking for a new dentist and decided on Kwon & Jabbour after seeing their glowing Yelp reviews. The best dentists I've ever been to! Like many others, I'm not the biggest fan of those biannual cleanings (ouchy), but Kwon & Jabbour have made the experience as painless as possible. Their facility is clean, modern, and very high-tech. There's a lot of effort to ensure patient comfort and wellbeing. I didn't realize how outdated my previous dentist's tech was until I came here... And also realized how much smoother the teeth cleaning experience could be. Each time I've visited, the staff are professional, kind, and welcoming. I've been wary of predatory practices after hearing about peers' bad experiences with dentists-- fortunately, you definitely don't have to worry about that here. Dr. Jabbour and staff show genuine care towards patient wellbeing and patiently break down any treatments or recommendations if you have questions. My husband and I have been going to Dr Jabbour and Dr Kwon for many many years, how have I not reviewed them before? First of all their facility is top notch, always the latest technology and super clean, welcoming and professional. They truly care about their patients and the experience they have. The Hygenist I always get is so careful and gentle to my teeth and gums and always gets any plaque off without hurting me. (I've had a bad experience at another place closer to my home where they just hurt my gums and teeth while cleaning! Ugh) This new process with the plaque targeting was pretty cool and my teeth feel really clean after it. I drive over an hour to come here and it's sooo worth it! They know me when I come in and truly care about my teeth and long term plan for what my needs are. If you're looking for a great dentist, look no further, you won't be disappointed! read more

I've waited a while before posting my review - mostly because I didn't want to post out of frustration etc. Allowing time to pass has given me some perspective on the issues that led me to find a new dentist. I began going to K&J about 7 years ago. I wasn't highly impressed, but I had no complaints about their work. My only "issue" if you can call it one, was Dr. J referred to the front office people as "the girls". This rubbed me the wrong way. I did mention it to the hygienist at one point, I asked her if she noticed it. She had, but she also didn't say much. I got the impression that it was just tolerated. In a professional setting, for a male superior (business owner/dentist) to refer to his staff as "the girls" is inappropriate. The final straw for me was the near-constant rescheduling of my cleaning appointments. Then the rescheduled appointments would be rescheduled. I don't have time for appointment roulette. read more

Another successful appointment with Dr. Jabbour. I had a toothache and his staff got me in right away. Dr Jabbour asked me questions, examined my teeth, looked at x rays and as out it turned out, it was a sinus issue. He told me how to treat it and kindly gave me a sinus rinse. It was my first time at Dr. Kwon's back in May of this year. Alicia was my hygienist for this visit and she was very nice. I switched offices from a previous dentist and the previous dentist seems archaic compared to this one. Everything is high end in regards to the equipment they use. The office was clean and spotless and the office staff were very friendly. I just went back this week to have a cavity filled by Dr. Kwon and I must say, I have massive dental anxiety. She was very sweet and I could tell she genuinely cared how I was doing the entire procedure. Her assistant, James, was fantastic throughout this procedure as well! It actually was painless! I've had bad dental experiences in the past, so this anxiety carried over into this dental practice. After going for a cleaning and a cavity, I can 100% say that my dental anxiety is easing up thanks to Dr. Kwon and her amazing staff! I have already recommended my parents to this practice and I hope to continue to refer more family and friends here. read more

My dentist is retiring. This office has positive Yelp reviews, so I called to become a new patient. However, I ended up canceling my appointment after getting the run around about their costs and insurance status. Here's the deal: This dentist does not take insurance nor bill insurance for patients. That's right. You pay the total bill yourself, then submit to insurance yourself. Who has time for that? Most (almost all) dental offices have a staff who does this, so not offering this service is bizarre. Upon learning the office doesn't take insurance, I asked for breakdown of expected costs for my appt, so I could check with my insurance and figure out what I would have to cover out of pocket. Here's the issue: For out of network providers like Dr Kwon, insurance covers only a percentage of the 'customary' costs. These costs are determined by the insurer based on the area where you live. I needed to understand how this dentist's costs compared to what my insurance lists as customary, so I could then calculate what my personal cost would be to see this dentist. Basically, if the cost was too high and didn't fit my budget, then I shouldn't become a patient. I think that's pretty easy to grasp. But, the front office staff couldn't understand why I wanted the cost breakdown before the appointment and would not give it to me. In response, I asked if they would do a 'Pre Treatment Estimate' with my insurance. Nope. Wow. I am not interested in SURPRISE dental costs, so I canceled my appointment. read more

The front office staff are always so welcoming. The office is clean and organized. My dental hygienist, Mehwish is amazing and the best!! I moved into the area and did a lot of searching for a new dentist, and I'm so happy I found Dr. Jabbour. He is very thorough, and they have the most up to date equipment and technology. He took the time to explain the procedure and let me know what's happening, and made sure I was ok. Both my husband and I go to Kwon & Jabbour Dental, and we have a great experience every time. My husband sees Dr. Jabbour and I see Dr. Kwon. This review is based on my personal experience with their office. Dr. Kwon is a fantastic dentist. She is very skilled in her work, as well as compassionate and patient. I had bad experiences with dentists in the past, but I always feel that I'm in good hands with Dr. Kwon and her team. This last visit I had to get some dental work done, which took longer that expected. Dr. Kwon and her team did not rush at all; they actually called the next patient to reschedule, so they could finish my dental work. I really appreciated that, as well as all of their work to get my permanent crowns in! I also wanted to give a shoutout to Maria, the Office Manager! Maria is the person you will most likely speak to when you call and the first person you see when you walk into their office. She's the one that has thoughtfully answered my countless questions about appointment times, dental work, insurance, etc! Maria is amazing at her job and is such a joy to talk to. One more note - Madison, one of the Dental Hygienists, is great as well! She is very kind and great at her job, making my dental cleaning much more enjoyable than I had anticipated! read more

During the last 12 months with covid and all of the shut downs and uncertain times the office has been great and very accommodating. I've had to change appointments a few times and they have moved them without question. The office feels very safe with temp checks and sanitizer stations. We have recently moved out of Walnut Creek area but still commute back just for them! read more

Even though I'm still in the process of getting my Invisalign done, I had a Smile Consult with Dr. Kwon regarding the uneven edges of my teeth from grinding. I was looking for a new dentist with better customer service since my last one wasn't very good. I called to ask which insurance is accepted. The person who helped me, Chris?, was pretty rude when I wanted to confirm which insurance they take. I was taken a back by such a rude response. I've been dealing with other medical issues causing brain fog so I just wanted to confirm the information that was relayed to me. I asked "I just want to confirm, you accept so-so insurance but not if it's so-so?" Chris bluntly tells "NO! we accept it but you might pay a higher out of pocket". Almost as if she was scolding a child. Such rudeness for a simple question about insurance was really off putting. Not the place I'd want to take my family and kids to for their dental needs. read more

I have never liked the dentist, I mean who really does, but I literally get anxiety and avoid at all costs. Covid was a great excuse to "miss" a few appts, so I was in need of a cleaning and experiencing sensitivity in some of my upper gum line. My wife had been using Dr Jabbour and really likes him, and he was so accommodating and sensitive, followed my every ask and helped me build a solid dental plan. Overall, I am extremely happy with both of my visits and plan to have all of my work done there. First Visit: I first met with Kayla, who was extremely welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. She did a great job walking me through everything that was being done, answering my questions, and setting expectations for the rest of the visit. I had a very thourough examination with Dr. Jabbour who made multiple reccomendations for the work that needed to be done and also explained why. I can not remember the name of the woman that checked my gums and did a cleaning on my teeth, but she was awesome!! She was beyond thorough and gave me a few tips for improving my detal hygeine game. Two thumbs up! Second Visit: I was dreading this visit (one new filling and removing an old silver filling and replacing with a crown) but again Dr. Jabbour and Kayla came through with a great experience. I only had a small amount of discomfort during my 2.5hour visit and really the time flew by. I am so happy with the quality of work that was done and the overall experience that is provided at this Dentist office. read more

I'm fussy and hard to please. But this dentist office is so awesome that I can only beam. They did amazingly high-quality work on me (which is the most important thing) and they are all incredibly friendly and nice. The billing folks up front know their stuff and made everything super clear. The dentist used the most high-tech equipment I've ever seen, and was incredibly careful to ensure I experienced NO pain. So happy someone recommended Dr. Jabbour when we moved here two years ago. The care has been excellent, and I can't say enough about how friendly and responsive the entire staff is. Today Dr. Jabbour took a couple of minutes out of his day to look at a picture of my daughters gums (she's studying abroad in England and was concerned about an issue that had arisen). Wow, the staff here are so sweet! They really know how to take care of your oral health! And they have Netflix on for you while you're doing a long procedure! How cool is that?! Unavailable. The doctors and office staff seem friendly and knowledgeable but the practice's providers are infrequently in the office. Therefore, the patient has to book out several months for a cleaning, let alone a treatment. It takes forever to be seen. Overall, there's not enough dentists and hygienists in the office to treat patients quickly and within a reasonable allotment of time. read more

I recently had my first visit with Dr. Kwon and it was by far the most thorough first exam I've ever had dental or otherwise. I suffer from anxiety and due to some traumatic dental experiences as a child I truly dread going to the point where I put it off for years at a time ( gross I know) but Dr. Kwon and her entire team were not only aware of my anxiety but acknowledged it in a professional and positive way.
