I had scheduled the appointment in advance and was assured that all required records and x-rays had been provided to their office. On the day of my visit, I was informed that the x-rays had not been received and would need to be performed in order to proceed with a cleaning. Although I declined the x-rays, they were performed anyways and I was billed. I contacted the office multiple times over a 30-day period to address this issue. Each time, staff claimed they had spoken with Katrina, the manager, yet I never received a response directly from her. I would not recommend this office due to over-billing, poor communication, and a lack of patient-centric care. I suggest looking elsewhere for your dental needs.

Let's go! - Dear Dr. Eric Seitlin, Hygienist "Sondra" & Receptionist "Luz" - Please allow me to take a moment to thank you for a wonderful visit to your office today - Wednesday - 24 January 2024; - I can't begin to describe what a positive and productive visit we had today. Thank you all for treating me so compassionately and skillfully. All members of your team were truly on "There Game" today and delivered high quality care - showing that you are all are true masters of the "Dental Craft!" The office is extremely busy and popular; - Late, last week, I was initially given an appointment by the Lead Receptionist - "Luz" for Late June 2023; - My schedule is tricky - so this was the best that they could do - I can only do Wednesday Afternoons; - "Luz" promised me that she would keep an eye out for any cancelations; - I honestly didn't believe her! Yesterday evening, my luck - I got a call from "Luz" with a last-minute cancelation - Yes! - My lucky day! Office is very easy to navigate to and has plenty of parking available for patients. That's a bonus. Come prepared and make sure you complete your paperwork. My amazing Hygienist - "Sondra" - was waiting for me upon my prompt arrival. Sondra was extremely gentle, and it was obvious - by her careful technique that she was a true master of her craft; - She took a complete set of digital x-rays of my teeth and carefully removed stains and tarter using this sophisticated / cutting edge device. Sondra took her time; she was truly extra careful to ensure my comfort and peace of mind at all time. This visit was truly relaxing and painless - I'm not kidding. I can't praise her skills and kindness enough. She did a tremendous job always ensuring my comfort. It was nice to have a Hygienist who was so attentive to the patient. I was evaluated by the "Rock Star" Dr. Eric Seitlen; Wow! - Dr. Seitlen is gentle, energetic and highly skilled. This is a Dentist with personality who takes pride in his craft and is up to date on the most cutting-edge techniques in restorative dentistry. I'm looking forward to working with him and his colleagues in having my first dental implant placed. There was no need for me to be sent off - far away for a CT scan of my mouth; - I could not believe that Dr. Seitlen had this technology available in his office. I was incredibly impressed. I was fascinated with the time and carefulness that Dr. Seitlen's Dental Assistants took in ensuring that appropriate data and measurements were taken of my mouth and teeth. The cleanliness and design of the office is truly impeccable. It is no wonder that this is the Dental Office chosen by the NBA's - Charlotte Hornets Professional Basketball Organization. Front office staff was incredible polite, respectful towards patients. Everyone in the office appeared strong, energetic, upbeat and pleasant. I can't begin to describe the nonsense I have witnessed over the years in various practices throughout this country. I'm worried now, that my review will make it even more difficult to get an appointment. Oh well! Thank you Dr. Seitlin and colleagues for taking such great care of me today! Thank you for treating me like your very own family members!

I cracked my wisdom tooth, and was having excruciating pain. They were able to get me in 3 days later (my choice because of work), although they were available to get me in the day after I called. I had Dr. Sahil Vasa, and omg what a great and calming experience. I've never had a tooth pulled, so I was VERY anxious, scared, and crying. He came in, very calm, and talked me through the whole experience. I had questions that he answered calmly & thoroughly. I made a good choice coming here, and definitely lucked out getting him as a dentist. His assistant, Kentral, was just as calming & welcoming. She talked to me the whole time, and took my mind off the tooth pulling. When I was finished, all the ladies in the office were so kind helping me check out. They even made me laugh before I left out. It almost felt like home being there. HIGHLY recommend.

In June 2022, I received a dental crown at the office of Dr Sunar. Following the procedure, I began…read moreexperiencing issues with the crown. Within less than two years, a cavity developed beneath it, which ultimately required complications and surgical treatment by a specialist to save the tooth. A subsequent evaluation including X-rays and a thorough examination by a different dentist, it was indicated that the crown needed to be replaced. The total cost for surgery and restoration exceeded $2000, an expense I had not anticipated. According to the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners, crowns typically carry a five-year warranty and should last between five and ten years. Mine failed far earlier. When I contacted the office to discuss this, no refund or partial reimbursement was offered. The crown I later received from a different provider fit perfectly and showed me how a well-made crown should look. Based on my experience, I would NOT return to this office in the future!

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Plaza Midwood Dentistry and Dr. Hart, hygienists/techs like Weslynn, as well as their front office. I came in looking like a gremlin honestly, my teeth were in terrible shape. They worked out a plan to focus on the cavities first, then crowns and implants, but I wasn't expecting the huge difference, even with the temporary cosmetic stuff they did (I'm not a dentist so I don't know the right name for it). After my last appointment, I cried when I looked in the mirror and asked for a hug. Went home and cried some more because I was so happy. Sent pictures to my best friends and family. People who see me and know me comment on my smile all the time. They are some of the most caring and understanding people in the business. I've been to many dentists and oral surgeons after my childhood dentist retired. These folks are by far my favorite. We still have a ways to go to get all the work done, but I will always be so appreciative of how hard they work and how well they do it. Heck, I even get blankets and my hand held when I'm being a wuss during a procedure! I'd definitely recommend.

After explaining my issue she said well I'm not sure what procedure you are explaining but does your in order to move forward I need to see if your insurance covers you. 1. I already explained I went through my insurance site and found this location (active listening is not her forte- she should've asked me about the member number) 2. I needed a same day appointment because of the pain associated with my issue. (After all that she FINALLY said we can't do a same day "you can go to urgent care") I said thank you and hung up-She clearly cannot represent the brand... NOW AS FAR AS THE TOP TIER SERVICE AT PEARL DENTISTRY... CHEF'S KISS! I called in and was greeted with the most welcoming and empathetic voice and professionalism from the front desk staff (I could almost kick myself for letting my pain make me drop the ball and forgot to get her name- she needs a shout out) She asked me how quickly can you get here? Do you think you can get here within 30 minutes? I was floored! Yessss I can! At that point she asked "so how did you find us?" - not will you be covered by your insurance. I told her my insurance and she said great! I can look you up to help you get in quicker and get taken care of! I was ill prepared but she took other means to find me and followed up with a 2nd phone call before arriving. The way she carried herself it was like I was the only patient they had and I was Queen Charlotte herself - just VIP Service and care, tailored to me, and about me. Good energy from the jump start! When I arrived... I was literally at the corner and she was looking out the window at a lost lady with 2 toddlers in a stroller and she waved me down like she knew me-Thank God because I was already hot and in pain but her infectious smile from probably 400+ft away made me feel like I was seeing a long time friend and I waved and painfully smiled bigger than I should have! she opened the door for me and said hey there welcome to Pearl Dentistry! I said did I look that lost? And we laughed and she said it's ok I'm just glad you made it! The other staff members were smiling and greeting me too (like we met before as well) 1. Location- Beautiful, bright, wonderful aesthetics, beautiful chipper people, and very professional. Great music too! 2. Technology and Intake- sent me a message for check in to my phone, easy and effortlessly created without feeling like I'm putting everything and my blood type on there (I've had some forms I wanted to just exit and this was very direct, straight to the point and not a dragged out process.) 3. Wait time- by the time I blinked they were calling me to the back and that was perfect because with the toddlers they can get a little too busy us moving to the back as quick as we did helped a lot. (Not to mention they had snacks for them and YouTube that kept them cool, calm and collected during my visit) 4. My Tooth Fairy Dr. Amanda Curtlin, DDS What a refreshing experience to know that the standard of service does not stop at the Front staff but in the individual rooms with back staff (Dental assistant/X-ray tech/ pre-op- very personable young lady!) Dr Curtlin made my nerve wrecking experience easy and effortlessly created a great environment for me to relax and provided a clear understanding of what was happening, why it was happening, and what we need to do to stay safe during & after care. Never in my life has a dentist made me feel comfortable enough to hum through a tooth extraction. I mean she carried the tunes with me, checked in on me after every line of the song, and still carried out a full tooth extraction without missing a beat! I think I even heard her sing to the dental assistant to drain the site AND I LOVED IT! She communicated with me the entire time, telling me to make sure I tell her if I feel any pain vs pressure, paused if she didn't understand what I was saying even if it was something as simple as you both are doing great because at that point they weren't just my cheer squad, I was theirs! I am an unofficial Pearl Dentistry ambassador little does she know and that is because of Dr. Curtlin and the entire staff! This isn't your normal Dental office that we grew up with... this is the Young, fresh faces, committed to excellence and care, empathy and compassion, personality and professionalism and their name fits because they are the Pearl in the sea of dentistry and definitely reimagined the view of dental care, HANDS DOWN THE BEST EXPERIENCE!
