I'm writing this as I sit in the parking lot of office. I have taken a day off to get my dental work done and they have no record of my appointment in today's book. Apparently their system transferred appointments to a new system and it did not transfer. In the wake of them canceling the initial crown appointment, now I'm missing a day of which is costing me a lot of money. Not to mention- This is an exposed nerve and I've been waiting for months. have been going to this dental office for 2 years . The front staff has been nothing but nice the Dental Hygienist that I usually see transferred to a different office so for this appointment I would have to see another hygienist. I came in had a conversation with front staff as always then I sat down waiting to be called . The lady (Rachel )came to the door called my name I stood up and said Goodmorning! no response, as we are walking I then say how are you ? still no response her fir words were when we final made it to the room she said have a seat. (very rude) i sat down and she began to tell me it's time for X-rays , as she is telling me she literally throws the heavy jacket on me and begin to tighten it around my neck, as she is doing this i said ma'am my hair is caught in the velcro strap . While im telling her this at the same time it's pulling so tight around my neck I then say ma'am you're choking me!! I had to grab it from around my neck so fast my hair was still in the Velcro . I hollered and ask are you okay ? she then said are you okay? (very nasty) I jumped up and said I can't do this! i went to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager and told the ladies upfront what had happened they gave me the owner cell number (Dr Sunar) and I asked to speak to the person in charge that was there. At this time (Dr white)he was with patients so one of the ladies went to tell him what was going . I waited.by this time the patients were gone and he still was no where to be found. They told me he must be at lunch I said there is no way he went to lunch and there's a problem to be fixed so she went back there again after 20 mins he came up and said sorry I was doing paperwork. I was furious! he began to say he will handle this and get back to me , I also called the owner. A week later I have not heard from anyone. this is the worse office ever !! read more

Steelecroft Dental - General Dentistry Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

This is the absolute worst dental office in the history of dental offices. A year ago, I went in asking for a night guard. They kept telling me they were going to get preauthorization from my insurance and call me back. I called and called and called and after 2 months, I gave up. I went in for my cleaning and asked the dentist for the night guard again. I get terrible migraines and grind my teeth. She suggested that since my bottom teeth had shifted a bit, I should get invisalign instead. My insurance was going to cover 50% of the invisalign, but it expired in 2 months from the appointment. I was told that invisalign would take 7-10 days to get back. 2 months later, I still did not hear back on how much my invisalign as going to cost. THE WORST PART WAS HOW RUDE MARIA IS. I had been calling her and calling her and calling her for an update and each time she told me she would call invisalign to ask for an update and call me back and she never called me back. Last week, I left a message for the dentist to call me. Maria confirmed on the phone today that SHE listened to this message. Did the dentist ever call me back? No. Do I think the dentist ever got the message? Definitely not. Maria told me THREE WEEKS ago that it was SHIPPED and would get there any day now, failed to tell me she would be gone ALL LAST WEEK, and no one ever called with an update because apparently, NO ONE in the office other than Maria can handle calling Invisalign to get an update on my case. She told me today that she called Invisalign yesterday to get an update on their outstanding cases and that Invisalign told her it was shipped. I've ordered and had shipped dozens of things in that time. This is coming from California, not China. It should not take over 3 weeks. Not only that, but Maria HUNG UP on me after she told me she had cancelled my invisalign order because it didn't get there before my insurance had changed to a new insurance carrier that does not cover invisalign. Maria is rude and a liar. If she had called invisalign all the times she said she had, it wouldn't take 2 months for something that should have taken 7-10 days. I asked to have the dentist call me, LIKE I HAD IN MY MESSAGE TO BEGIN WITH and I bet the dentist will not call me. I will call every single day until I speak with the dentist to let her know - I WILL get Invisalign but I WON'T get it with them. They are rude and incompetent and liars. read more

The front desk customer service is extremely unprofessional. I was just calling for some clarification on a bill that I received and they automatically she got really defensive and started talking to me like a child. Not letting me get a single word in, so of course that causes me to put my guard up because she started getting snippy. All I wanted was to understand my bill and she kept on saying that it was my responsibility which of course I know as a patient it is my responsibility to pay my bills, but I would also like to know where my money is going before I pay. I guess that was just enough to put her in a bad attitude. Will I return? No. Also the first time that I got my fill-in they messed it up so I had to go back so they can fix it. So, not only are they unable to do dental, they also don't know how to talk to human beings in a respectable manner. read more

First of all, let me say that I seldom write reviews, after leaving Steelecroft dental feeling so disrepected and angry I was almost shaking, I felt compelled. Patients are customers too, and poor service/disrepect is not acceptable. The staff at Steelecroft dental are wonderful. Always very talkative, helpful and friendly. They always make coming to the dentist a more enjoyable, less daunting experience. However, the new dentist, Dr. Keyvan Jalali has a very, very poor bedside manner and sees the patient as a naughty child, and a patent's mouth as a bucket full of money for him to harvest. I have no dental issues, and have always been told I have excellent hygene, however apparently in the past six months since my last exam (and in the five minutes from my cleaning, in which the assistant has just commented on how nice my teeth were and how good my hygene was) my teeth became dirty and all on the verge of rotting away. He was telling me how bad I was to drink soda all day every day (I don't) and asked me if I even brushed my teeth. When I responded, he pretty much outright called me a liar/ was very dismissive. The entire visit, he spoke to me as if I were a naughtly child who had been caught with her hand in the cookie jar. At one point, he even baby-talked while speaking to me. I understand that dental problems can develop, and that a patient's behavior can contribute to dental health...but this guy was out to pick nits and make accusations - he was still wet behind the ears, straight out of college, and thinks he knows everything. The entire time he was speaking to me I felt like I was being interrogated. I have never had a dentist treat me this way before, and I will not subject myself to this treatment willingly again. This area seems to have a high dentist turnover rate, so I sincerely hope he will not be here when I return (as I said, the rest of the staff are great, and all previous dentists have been great). However, if Keyvan Jalali is still there, I won't be. This customer will be going elsewhere for her future dental needs, and recommends others do the same. read more

Forces new patients to give a credit card # or pay up front. After asking the receptionist if this was something she would do, I got the response, "Well.. it's jsut our policy." Interesting. Dentist herself is not family oriented but, somewhat friendly. Don't think she has kids. Dental work is fairly expensive and average at best. Will bill the insurance for you but all remaining balances will be billed to your credit card on file in 60 days with the presumion that you approved it. If it's not an inconvienace I would work with someone else. read more

I do not enjoy he dentist BUT this place was awesome. Everyone was. From the nice receptionist, to the dental hygienist, doctor and the insurance consultant were all. So friendly and most of all, HELPFUL. The kind of people who go out of their way to help you. I was really nervous to go to this dentist (I knew I had to have work done) but they made me feel relaxed and assured that everything will be taken care of. Absolutely terrible dentist!!! I first went 3 years ago when a tooth cracked in half and I had to have a crown. The dentist who replaced was rude and extremely rough. 3 months later the new crown falls off. I go back he's no longer there. A new dentist reinstalls the crown. 7 months later that crown falls off. I go back and he's no longer there. A new dentist Dr Lee reinstalls my crown. Very nice very gentle, 2 years later the crown is still there however they wanted to charge me for fixing what they never did right to begin with. I had to go back this week for a cracked filling. Guess what all new dentist, all new employees form the front office to the back. I was never told the new dentists name she did not introduce herself. She was an Indian heritage and I have to say I have never been treated so rough. It's 3 days later and I fill like I've been hit the jaw with a baseball bat. (For a filling) She was talking about me to the assistant while I'm sitting in the chair as if I'm not even there. She was not happy that I could not breath from my nose (nasal surgery) and did not want to sit me up when I felt like I was drowning. I would not recommend this dentist unless you want to go to the same building but a different dentist every year. read more

I went to Steelecroft Dental in April assuming it was a decent dentist office due to the location. The staff was unprofessional as well as the dentist that I spoke to. After quoting me a 3-4 thousand dollar bill to "fix" my teeth I felt very uneasy. After getting a second opinion from a reputable dentist office in Lake Wylie I only have two cavities! My bill went from 3-4 Thousand dollars with Steelecroft Dental to $132 and only two cavities! If you go to Steelecroft Dental do yourself a huge favor and get a second opinion before giving them any of your hard earned money. read more

My dad visited from out of town and had a dental emergency. He does not have a dental plan at work and the steelcroft dentist charged him full price for his emergent procedure. I think its a shame that money is that important and there was not a adjustment in the bill. read more

We had an appointment scheduled for August for 5 cleanings for our entire family and fillings for my 8 year old son, they confirmed with us, and then 2 days prior to the appointment called to say that the Dentist wanted a day off and were canceling our appointment to get fillings. We could still get our cleanings with a guest Dentist. Since we had the appointment set for 3 months, and despite being frustrated, we went to the appointment for our cleanings, and they confirmed more cavities for my son. The next appointment that we could get for the fillings for my son was 2 months later. Everything was set up in August. When I spoke to the office the day before my appointment and confirmed the need for laughing gas since it was fillings for a child, they told me that it was not an issue. After arriving for my appointment, they told me that they did not have the laughing gas in stock and would not be doing the fillings. (The very next day!!) The Dentist proceeded to tell me that without the gas it would be too painful for my son. She said this and went on about how hard it would be for him, but she would do it anyway. After talking about how painful and traumatic that it would be in front of my 8 year old, he became extremely upset. I told the Dentist that it was unprofessional to have had these conversations in front my 8 year old, and she just said, well then I can't help you and walked out!!! I cannot even believe what a horrible experience every visit to the this Dentist has been. They will never get my business again. read more
