Ordered the fish and chips, which were crisp on the outside with a flavorful batter, and tender fish on the inside. It also came with a nice little pea salad, with mushy peas and whole peas together with the greens. I definitely need to make this! Also got the Irish Cottage Pie and it was very tasty - rich in flavor but lighter than I expected, in a good way. Shared a pint of Guiness (just missed splitting the G - lol) and finished with an Irish coffee, which hit the spot. This is definitely a great place to go for a quiet pint or for a fun night of food and friends.

It's been serving traditional Irish fare since the 1980s and has become a favorite stop for both locals and visitors looking for classic comfort food. After about a 20-minute wait, we were seated in the warm, inviting dining room. Susan ordered the mussels, one of her favorites, while I went with the Traditional Irish Stew and my daughter chose the Braised Beef & Guinness Stew. Both were exactly what we hoped for: hearty, flavorful, and perfect after a day of sightseeing. I finally understood why the Guinness stew had such a rich, dark color, and I have to admit, I came home a big fan of Irish stew. We finished with the Homemade Bread & Butter Pudding topped with fresh cream and custard, a comforting dessert that was the perfect ending to the meal. Service, atmosphere, value, and food were all five out of five. We also enjoyed chatting with the floor manager, whose pride in the restaurant and his team was obvious. That kind of hospitality made a great meal even more memorable.

Local INDIE shop with a work ethic you can taste! Forget D4, this more like Logan Square or Wicker Park in Chicago. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with wonderful chefs and quality management. When you can tell the staff are genuinely happy to work somewhere, you feel so much more comfortable eating your meal. This is not your typical place, its actually very, very special. Yes, the prices can be a little high in the middle of a recession, but I never feel ripped off or cheated because everything is so delicious and satisfying. Ps. Years ago I needed a specific cake made for an event and Kennedy's chef took my recipe and made the best cake ever! Love that kind of willingness to think outside of the box. Oh, and I love the Italian and other groceries on offer as well! read more

Inside, the space has been designed as a modern brasserie, with a brighter and more refined atmosphere than its former KC Peaches café incarnation. Soft lighting, contemporary white furnishings, and a clean aesthetic create an environment that feels equally suited to breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner service. Our group of ten made a reservation in advance, and I'm glad we did - at 11:30 on a Sunday morning, the restaurant was completely full, so I would say reservations are non-negotiable, especially for large parties on the weekend. The menu reads as a modern European brasserie, combining all-day café favorites with more substantial lunch and dinner offerings. Expect a mix of salads, sandwiches, brunch staples, pasta dishes, seafood, and grilled meats, alongside an extensive coffee and drinks selection. The breadth of the menu makes it suitable for everything from a quick breakfast near St. Stephen's Green to a leisurely evening meal. While the offerings are generally approachable and crowd-pleasing, there is enough variety to appeal to groups with differing tastes. Their drinks include various teas, coffees, lattes etc. - while I'd recommend going to a traditional cafe to sample real matcha, some of my friends really enjoyed their Chai Lattes/Dirty Chai Lattes (€4-6), as well as their other coffee drinks. We all ordered different entrees, and no one was disappointed in their dish - some standouts include their Shakshuka (€14.90), which comes with a large portion of grilled sourdough, a deeply-flavred tomato-and-pepper sauce, runny poached eggs, seasonal vegetables, and basily and feta, and their Full Irish (€15.90) with the same sourdough, flavorful bacon and sausages, black pudding (dont' be scared, it's an Irish breakfast classic, tomatoes, mushrooms, and eggs your way. I opted for the French Toast (€12.90), which was served with two slices of French toast, a rich whipped mascarpone, and a mixed berry compote, which was a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity. While I would have appreciated some additional fruit, I think the French Toast itself was a great combination of richness and crispy fried edges, with a perfectly custardy inside. Prices are moderate for such a central Dublin location, with most diners likely spending between €15-30 per person depending on whether they're stopping in for a casual daytime meal or a more substantial evening dinner (which we didn't get the chance to sample). Overall, Peaches is a great stop in a highly-frequented area for any meal of the day, and I'd love to return at some point to sample their dinner menu!
