WOW...what a great find. A hole in the wall donut place that is well worth looking for and buying in. My wife and I stopped it and it did not disappoint. Fresh cookies and cakes and unbelievable donuts. The staff was plentiful and very helpful. Too many to choose from. I ended up getting standard glazed donut (they had just sold the last of their blueberry cake to the guy in front of me ) and a maple frosted vanilla cream filled stick. Oh man...the glazed donut was 10 out of 10. I waited to have the second donut until later in the day and man...that maple frosted was amazing! Totally worth stopping. Fantastic place. Everything is amazing, even things I didn't buy looked great. Got a dozen assorted and they are delicious. Cream sticks and cinnamon roll were great, but the cinnamon crumb stick steals the show. Stopped in on a Saturday morning and they were busy but the service moved quickly. They have so many options to choose from, I had a hard time deciding! In the end, we went for a classic glazed donut, a maple cream stick, a "donut middle" (which was basically its own, smaller glazed donut but was square?), a pumpkin donut, a peanut butter danish, and two tea cookies (raspberry and peanut butter). The cream stick was super sweet and the icing didn't taste like maple to me but everything else was pretty good. The danish was my favorite for sure - I'd never seen a peanut butter danish before and as a true peanut butter aficionado I couldn't pass it up! The cookies were good too...better than any of the donuts in my opinion. I would go back to try more of their other baked goods as opposed to donuts in the future. [Sat.17.Dec.2022 @ 11am] Wife & I was told about this Establishment by a Work Colleague of my wife's, we was on a Roadtrip for our 32nd Wedding Anniversary and we added it in on our trip through that area. This Bakery is well located in the City of Cambridge OH, has Great signage so that you can see it well, after entering it was spacious, clean and had a Great Constant Flow of Customers, Wide Variety of Items to pick from, Pricing was Moderate, Good many staff members to help with Customers to keep the Flow of Customers coming and going. The Staff was very Kind, Nice and very Helpful, Customers was Friendly as well. I do recommend that the Bakery keep on had Maple Flavored Items, there is a good quantity of Customers that like Maple taste, Other then that its all Good. This bakery in the downtown area of Cambridge definitely seemed like "the place" when I came here on a late Saturday morning! I admit, I was too full at this point to try any donuts after trying the area's surprisingly good food, but I wanted to stop in to get some peanut butter cookies for Granny back home. The thing that really blew me away was how nice one of the bakers was behind the counter. For some reason, my sister's card kept getting declined (she had used it 5 minutes prior so we weren't sure if it was the machine or the card itself) but the kind woman working at the bakery didn't bat an eye in saying not to worry about it and she'll cover it for us. Luckily we had some cash to cover the cost, but just the offer was amazingly kind that I have to say how much I appreciated it. I did try the raspberry tea cookie and just that small bite is making me want to go back to try some more things. I would definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

As a lifelong resident of Cambridge I will swear by the fact that this is one of the best bakery's in the US. All the delicious sweets offered here are nothing short of amazing, I have never been dissatisfied with this place in the 24 years I've been alive. The employees are fantastic as well, always on top of their game in customer service, efficiency and quality of their product. The building itself is always kept immaculate and you are greeted with the amazing smell of baked goods when you walk in the door. I would recommend absolutely ANYONE go there especially if you are a tourist, you'll never look at your hometown bakery the same again. This is a classic bakery: No frills or thrills, just pastries, donuts, cupcakes and cakes that speak for themselves and feed the people of Cambridge, OH. I got a few things to try out - Peanut Butter Tea Cookies and a Pumpkin Donut. I'm a peanut butter feen, damn straight if a business sells something with that ingredient it will always be the thing I base my review on. Glad to say Kennedy's peanut butter, tea cookies were pretty darn fabulous! Soft savory peanut butter flavor; none of that overly-sugared peanut butter cookies that basically taste the same as a sugar cookie. Well done cookies. Really, pumpkin in its purest form doesn't really have a very distinctive taste; this donut was actually very good. It almost reminded me of a chai latte with the pronounced cinnamon, maybe cardamom and all-spice flavors? At any rate, I'd almost say these donuts were equal to, if not BETTER THAN Linsey's in Circleville. Call me biased...I grew up on Kennedy's and I have yet to find a bakery with the quality that they offer. Their cakes have always been super moist, sweet and simply perfect. I have made special trips from Virginia to Cambridge to get their tea cookies or order a cake for a special occasion. Wow! Awesome bakery that was bustling at 12:45 pm in the afternoon. COVID spacing had the line out the door with 10 customers inside. No worries as the staff inside yells out "Who's next?" and you step right up. Huge selection of great bakery items and the deep fried cinnamon roll is just killer. Raised Glazed, lemon raised glazed, pecan morning bun and walnut danish all awesome...well...we didn't eat all those but will tomorrow before church! Super friendly staff and bakery has been an institution since the 50's. Numerous cakes to choose from and custom decorate as well. Worth the stop for sure! read more

I was in town for my MIL's 60th Birthday and I found this gemstone of a bakery. I looked up online what they had to offer cake -wise and decided to call and get pricing. Brooke was very helpful in assisting me in choosing the perfect cake. We settled on a round beautifully decorated carrot cake. She asked me what time I would like it ready ( which was less than 24 hours in advance) and I paid over the phone. From previous reviews I knew that I had to try out their famous devil dog when I pick up the cake. We got two children's decorated sugar cookies, a huge devil dog , and cheesecake on a stick. The devil dog was all that and a bags of chips! The cake on the devil dog is super moist and you can tell the icing and cake was very fresh. I'm not sure if you can tell but I definitely plan on coming back here when in town! Oh and my mother in law loved her cake.. thank you so much for helping me make her 60th special read more

While in town for the Dickens festival, one of the shop owners told me I had to check out this bakery at the end of the street. I proceeded to make my way down there and the aroma drew me closer to the glass cases once inside. I tried their version of the devil dog. YUMMY!! Had to text hubby on his cell phone to join me. After he viewed the case, we decided to choose some items to take with us and munch on during our trip home to Raleigh. We tried the cinnamon bread, cinnamon rolls, pumpkin cake, apple fritter, and of course another devil dog. LOVED IT ALL! So fresh and perfect. Prices are very reasonable. Quality is extremely good. If you live in the area you are lucky to have a place like this. Luckily for me I don't, since my diet would never survive all of the delightful goodies they sell! read more

My mom surprised me with a cookie from here! She went in here while I was out running, to bring me back this amazing flamingo Christmas cookie. She also got me a box of some of their smaller holiday cookies. Their gingerbread is amazing! The cookies are not overly sweet. She said the shop had tons of cakes and everything looked really good. She also got herself a box of cookies to munch on. It's a cute little shop in the town. There is not much in this town but this is a definite must stop if you do find yourself passing by here. It's a great place to grab a baked good and go walk the town and browse the windows of local shops. Definitely would recommend this! If you are going to cheat on your diet with a donut, this is the ONLY donut worth the guilt of a food affair! The best donuts I have ever tried, as my daughter said 'puts Dunkin Donuts to shame'. We received excellent customer service while making our selections. Even with a large Saturday crowd, we were in and out in no time. Kennedy's is the quintessential town bakery. I happened to be in Cambridge and someone suggested that I visit the bakery for a treat. 1. Fudge iced cake donut--- yummy and moist 2. Raised yeast glazed donut- perfect (a recommendation by a customer) 3. Karacky flakey pastry thing filled with ground nuts and chocolate- good! 4. Devil dog----- way better than a suzy q 5. Scarecrow cookie (my son's) 6. loaf of cinnamon bread.... Haven't tried it but looks awesome. All this stuff for 10 bucks. Which brings me to another point. You have to spend 10 bucks inorder to use your card here. There was a steady stream of customers coming through to get their sweet fixes. My only complaint is that the women working there were, really no nonsense about helping you and a little too curt. I'd return though. read more
