These guys carried Tile that was discontinued. I was beside myself because I needed to extend some tile in my home and didn't wanna have to retail the entire flooring. They were super easy to deal with very friendly, very accommodating and validated. The color was a good match. So happy with the outcome as the tile is finished now and I'll post a picture, but you cannot tell where the old stuff ends on the new stuff starts. We hired Kennedy Tile to remodel our master bath shower. They were on time and the work that was done is satisfactory. However, several full boxes of tile disappeared from our garage. When I asked the installer what happened to the tile he told me his boss came by and picked it up. When I contacted our project manager, "his boss", he stated he had not picked up the tile and that he would look into the matter. In the end nobody seems to know anything about what happened to our extra tile. No offers were made to compensate us for our loss. I need to be able to trust the workers that are coming into my home so based on this I would not recommend Kennedy Tile or use them for my future projects. Disappointed with our second remodel using Kennedy. The final product looks nice but our furniture they moved was scratched from items/tools left on top while they were working, walls and trim were dinged, garage floor was damaged, exhaust fans had so much floor dust from the removal process we had to replace them and someone drank sodas from our refrigerator and then the owner denied that it was his crew (no one else was in our home during the remodel). They were very responsive to come and replace the dinged trim and scratched tub but nothing else. Was disappointed based on the first time we used them. Just finished having wood-look tile installed by Kennedy Tile and Flooring. Marion, who handled my estimate, is very knowledgeable about flooring, answered my question honestly and never tried to "up-sell" me. He provided me my choices, according to what I was prepared to pay. Luis, who did the demolition, and laid the tile, did an outstanding job, as did Dave, who installed my baseboards after the tile was installed. Was my Kennedy tile job expensive? Well, yes...if you compare what you can get from a slap-dash Mexican crew...and buy your tile directly from a retailer. However, I wanted folks who could do a great job and Kennedy did that. Having said all that, I have to offer a few suggestions that might enhance their business. My project took exactly two weeks (21 May to 3 June). Primarily only one guy did the tile install (one other guy shows up for brief periods to help with the demolition of my old flooring). Having one guy on the job makes for an extended job. My project was for only a bit over 700 square feet and took two weeks to complete, making it a tiring and tedious affair. (I slept on a futon in my Arizona room....can't imagine what the expense would be had I paid for a motel for nearly two weeks). The baseboard job was also a one-man deal. My suggestion to Kennedy is to put two men on each job, do not pull them away for periods of time to help on other jobs, and you'll end up with happier customers. Note: During that two weeks there were also a few disconnects between the workers on site and whoever was supervising the job. Would I choose Kennedy Tile and Flooring again? Certainly would, if they'll still have me after this critique. I was quite happy with the quality of the work and the kindness and courteousness of Luis and Dave. read more

I recently completed my second flooring job with Kennedy Tile and Flooring. My first job was performed about three years ago where they replaced all the tile and carpet within my previous home. After purchasing a new home, I asked Kennedy Tile to replace the carpet and bathroom tile in my current home. They did a wonderful job on both! The team within the store provided a great level of expertise on the type of carpet and tile I wanted to go with. All that I write here are facts. I will not embellish anything I say, however my disappointment in this company will most likely shine through in my tone. This company completed a flooring renovation for one of my Phoenix rental homes a while back. They also installed a custom shower, as well as "demo'd" the existing shower and floors. Brian was friendly enough in the store, answering all my questions. I originally came to him because of the dustless tile removal advertised on his website. The first day of the project, the demo day, his crew did not show up until 9:30 AM in the morning. In fact every day someone came to work at the Phoenix house, they did not show up until after 9:30 AM. In addition, all tools were downed around 4:00 PM each day. This made me wonder about work ethic. It also extended the completion date way past what was promised. Demo began and it was anything but dustless. The demo crew did not take care to remove tile, instead prying up and popping them out with a shovel. Bits of tile cracked and flew everywhere, even onto window ledges I discovered later. Definitely not the clean job I was promised. During the demo phase, Brian never came out to the house to check things out. So I had to make do with phone conversations instead. Whilst on the phone, he was curt with me numerous times and seemed crabby overall. One time during construction, I actually insisted he come out to the property to talk. He did so, but seemed short with me as if my construction job wasn't important. When I asked him about minor changes to construction or adding a small project, (which would have put more money in his pocket!) he visibly got mad. His face got red and he was short with me. I literally thought I would have to "take him behind the woodshed" for an attitude adjustment. I had to speak over him and he backed down, but still he should not have such an attitude towards a paying customer. I spent over $8K with his company so he should be nice as pie when dealing with me; he wasn't. During construction phase, it was much of the same with crews not showing up until after 9:30 AM and leaving around 4:00 PM; what happened to American muscle and drive and ambition? The shower installation had numerous problems because the plumbing part of installation is contracted out. So the plumber made some mistakes and had to come out numerous times as well as tear a massive hole in some drywall to fix his errors. Floor tile installation might have been the best part of the deal, but still I found numerous hollow tiles which took forever to fix. It honestly gets old having people in the house day after day fixing things that should have been done right the first time. There are also some tiles that are uneven I have found, but there is no way I want his company back in my house; even if it is a rental. Brian could tell I was not happy with the job that was done and stopped calling me and I never saw him after he turned red in the face. Probably a good thing for his well-being. However what kind of business owner doens't come by for a final walk through? At this point in the process I wasn't surprised, but just filled with compounded disappointment. Not a way to run a business at all. Thank goodness I do not live in the house as I would continuously be confronted with the still existing flaws his company made. I don't think Brian understands that some customers may live in the house that they do work on and to them it will be one of the most important decisions they make. They will have to live in a house that Brian or his crew works on and see the craftsmanship, or lack thereof, everyday. To them it is so important; to Brian it will just be another job that gets half-a$$ed. I would like to send a warning shout across the bow of anyone considering using his company for construction. We recently had Kennedy Tile install new tile on our floors and they also retiled our master bathroom shower. We were very impressed .They brought out their mobile showroom to our home for a free consultation. The mobile showroom had dozens , maybe even a few hundred tile choices. We ended up choosing a beautiful 6x36 wood look porcelain tile for the floors and 12x24 tile with a glass inlay for the showers . We received a few other quotes from other flooring contractors and the big box stores. Kennedy tile was much less expensive and had a larger selection of products. They provided exceptional service from the intial consultation to the final walkthru. We have received many compliments on our new tile. We are very happy and will be hiring them again in a few months to replace our bedroom carpet. read more

They beat the prices of everywhere and were better priced then our contractors price with other stores. They gave us samples and even order more of a sample to see the difference in patterns. Peace of mind is something that has unfortunately become hard to come by when dealing with home improvement contractors, but Kennedy Tile & Flooring is the exception in that case. My fiancé and I had been wanting to do away with the old carpet and tile in our home for a while and finally got around to shopping bids for the look we decided on, this past month. I won't get into details about the particular flooring we'd decided upon, because that's not important. What is important is the testimony of the contractor we finally decided upon to make our vision a reality. We had shopped around a bit trying to find the right contractor to do the job. We received estimates for the tile we picked out, from both of the major "big box stores" (I'm sure you know the ones I'm speaking of), as well as another local flooring company, who I'll refer to as "Cran" (by the way, Cran is not a licensed flooring contractor). All of the bids we had received seemed relatively reasonable and we were just about ready to make a final decision. Until a close friend of ours recommended that we contact Kennedy Tile & Flooring for an estimate. We took the advice of our friend and we are thankful that we did. We got in touch with them and had someone at our house within 24 hours to measure for the estimate. They had the exact product we had picked out in stock and even brought a sample with them to perform the estimate and figure out exactly what look we wanted to achieve. Even better (but definitely not the best part) their estimate came in considerably lower than the others'. And now for the best part... They were extremely courteous, professional, and accommodating to our needs and preferences. When the installers came to begin the job, we were again re-assured that our money and our home were in good hands. Ben and Sean (our installers) were very personable, courteous, and most of all respectful of our home and property. They worked around our schedule and took their time to do it right, but didn't drag the job out past the original estimated time frame. Furthermore the owner Brian Kennedy personally performed a post installation walk-through with us to ensure that the job was not only done to our liking, but that it stood up to his standards as a professional tradesman with decades of experience. Brian has, more than once, ensured us that he will stand behind the work no matter what. Now THAT is customer service. As a tradesman myself, I know that that is how a company should be ran. We are absolutely ecstatic with the way our home looks and the quality in the workmanship of our flooring. Look no further. Brian did my tile while back, and refused to install epoxy grout. He convinced me that Fusion grout would be as good so I trusted his recommendation. Sadly they installed it poorly, as I could feel the sharp tile edges when barefoot. The Fusion grout also discolored more that than the sanded grout I had prior. I contacted Brian and his solution was to put a layer of sanded grout over the Fusion grout. It has since disintegrated and we are back to the sharp tile edges and the discolored Fusion grout that was beneath. I bought a grout saw and will be removing it all myself. Then I will find a qualified installer to install the epoxy grout that should have been installed from the start. read more

Before our home's tile installation, I researched BBB and seeing that Kennedy Tile had an A+ rating, I choose Brian Kennedy for our job. - Unfortunately, our experience was less than satisfying/happy. Not only did he give us incorrect information as to the diamond-style tiling we desired and paid for, he also became untruthful and his crew did the following damages to our home: 1. broken off thermostat cover. Cabinet drawer broken; someone tried to open it!?: /Users/admin/Desktop/Gar.Cab.broken_1.JPG Among other disturbing facts: cigarette butts inside and outside home; concrete/thin set mix poured out onto gravel area and negligent carpet protection when using entry to home ..... /Users/admin/Desktop/cigarette but.JPG /Users/admin/Desktop/HOA Violation.JPG /Users/admin/Desktop/carpet unprotected.JPG Mr. Kennedy seemed to be an nice, licensed professional, while the people he sent to do the installing were not [I mean licensed :-)]. I only can recommend that if you use Kennedy Tile to perform wrk in your home, to be there every minute of their presence. I am trying right now to resolve the problems, due to the damages caused, with the help of the Phoenix BBB, since Mr. Kennedy has not replied once to our concern/complaint. P.S.
