First they rescheduled us from Friday to Saturday but with a week's notice, that was fine. Then they rescheduled us to a week later because the pilot was out of the country. The day of our ride, they texted me two hours before our flight to say the pilot was stranded in Spain and they had to cancel. I was shocked that they didn't know earlier than two hours before our flight that the pilot wasn't available. They offered a discount to reschedule, but by that time I was so fed up trying to work with them that I cancelled and my husband's 80th birthday gift from me was completely spoiled.

Then he flew us to Bellevue circled around the city and headed to the Space Needle. It was unbelievable how close he flew to the Space Needle and downtown Seattle. He then headed down the straits back to Gig Harbor, explaining all the sights along the way. He then circled around Fox Island did a great landing at the airport for a great flight. The round trip was amazing from beginning to end. Flew out of Boeing Field to Friday Harbor. So convenient and quick getting dropped off and moving on to the plane. This is "how the other half live." There is weight restriction on luggage. Views during flight were fantastic!!! Quick and affordable, especially if you only need 1 or 2 seats. Probably cheaper than renting and car, paying (and waiting) for ferry! The pilots were very professional and top notch people. On my way home they drove me to SeaTac to catch my conventional flight home! Highly recommended! The small planes are subject to weather-related postponement/cancellation for obvious reasons!

The service is fast, affordable, friendly and relaxing; it only takes an hour for me to commute to the airport from the island. The service includes being shuttled from the private hangar to the main terminal. I will continue to use Point to Point every time I travel from the island to the airport and avoid a 4 hour trip that includes the ferry and a shuttle vehicle. We got stuck in Seattle and missed our original transportation by car and ferry but Friday Harbor Seaplanes came to our rescue. Michelle was absolutely amazing and got us booked on the first flight out the following morning so we didn't waste another moment of our trip. She arranged a shuttle to pick us up at the hotel we booked which was also quite the task as many hotels were completely booked up but we finally found one and Friday Harbor Seaplanes accommodated us and got us to the airport and flew us in to Orcas Island. I was really impressed by our pilot and how well he flew the plane. I was a bit nervous and I tend to get motion sickness and he made the flight very enjoyable and even checked in with me during the flight to see how I was feeling. I felt he took slight turns a bit more slow and careful with me in mind and it was very appreciated. My friend also had her baggage delayed by Delta Airlines for 2 days and Michelle was so kind to try and help us by arranging for the airport to deliver the luggage to them so they could bring it to the Friday Harbor dock on one of their daily flights. Unfortunately Delta was being lame and they wouldn't do it, but the fact that Friday Harbor Seaplanes was willing to help us went above and beyond our expectations. What amazing customer service! I hope to one day visit the islands again and without a doubt I will use Friday Harbor Seaplanes again. They treated us like family!! Thank you! I wholeheartedly recommend this business. We were flying low enough to see the scenery of the area including a good look at the Seattle skyline. There were some clouds so the mountain view was not as clear as it would be on a sunny day. Didn't really matter since there was so much else to see. Shane was the pilot both flights and he is very experienced and safety conscious. He also knows a tremendous amount about the area. This guy is out of his mind in terms of rudeness and not caring about the customer experience. He obviously thinks that he has too much business and he's the king of the place so he will just shut people down without trying to help the customer. Absolute disaster of a place. They lost my business for sure. Buyer beware! Update: I spoke with the owner of this school and thought that he would be more understanding of the situation and try to fix the situation because I already paid them $400 for the discovery flight and was genuinely eager to take their classes. I was dead wrong. The owner of the school was just as rude and even said that me posting a negative review was in bad taste, basically trying to silence me from speaking the truth. Unbelievable. He didn't even try to understand the situation more and instead just jumped to conclusions stating that whatever Daniel did was because of FAA regulations, which is obviously bs.
