They are all arbitrary depending on the mood and the weather of the people who work there, including James (the man in charge). If you are a couple please note that you may be put into a plane with other people regardless of what plane and option you picked. You will not know about it until you get to the meeting point and one couple will not get to sit together. Thus, it may be better to look into other companies and there are others! If you are planning to go as a group, there are better and more professional establishments which are cheaper and/or same priced. The only saving point of this establishment is Mark (seaplane pilot) who made all the efforts to not only ensure that our experience on the air was great but also to redeem the Company. Overall, in the state where aviation is one of the major industries, there are better, more professional, and cost efficient companies and small businesses. Try them. They will have more respect and consideration for your experience. If you insist on booking from this establishment, exaggerate your weight to make sure that they cannot fly anyone with you.

The Paine Field Location is subject to lower viz weather in the fall so I recommend starting as early in the summer as possible so that you have achieved your instrument rating by the fall. This will expedite your progress. I started in July of '18 and completed all of my ratings within 10 months. The program is challenging, and involves 2 months off site at Flight Instructor Academy. Additionally, it is expensive, but if speed is your goal, ATP can provide you the framework to accomplish this. With regard to the previous 2 reviews, yes, there is some truth in what they say. You may work with younger, less-experienced instructors, however, this program is not designed to coddle you through holding your hand. It is designed to provide you the resources to get a lot done in a short amount of time. The previous two reviewers sound young themselves. Be independent, do your homework, use the instructors as resources and you'll be fine.

They do not care about students success. Check ride prep was subpar and the price is ridiculous for a part 61 school. Ground school is not structured, randomly assigned by instructors. They advertise as a 6 months program but NO ONE ever finished within 6months due to weather and planes/instructor availability. There are only 2-3 instructors and only 2 planes. Management is never on site and place is run by brand new CFI graduates. Checkride passing rate at this location is horrendous. I did not pass a checkride directly due to under preparation from my instructor. Do not waste your money here. Check out northway downstairs or regal air next door. Both schools are cheaper and more reliable, supportive and do not false advertise their program.

We got stuck in Seattle and missed our original transportation by car and ferry but Friday Harbor Seaplanes came to our rescue. Michelle was absolutely amazing and got us booked on the first flight out the following morning so we didn't waste another moment of our trip. She arranged a shuttle to pick us up at the hotel we booked which was also quite the task as many hotels were completely booked up but we finally found one and Friday Harbor Seaplanes accommodated us and got us to the airport and flew us in to Orcas Island. I was really impressed by our pilot and how well he flew the plane. I was a bit nervous and I tend to get motion sickness and he made the flight very enjoyable and even checked in with me during the flight to see how I was feeling. I felt he took slight turns a bit more slow and careful with me in mind and it was very appreciated. My friend also had her baggage delayed by Delta Airlines for 2 days and Michelle was so kind to try and help us by arranging for the airport to deliver the luggage to them so they could bring it to the Friday Harbor dock on one of their daily flights. Unfortunately Delta was being lame and they wouldn't do it, but the fact that Friday Harbor Seaplanes was willing to help us went above and beyond our expectations. What amazing customer service! I hope to one day visit the islands again and without a doubt I will use Friday Harbor Seaplanes again. They treated us like family!! Thank you! I wholeheartedly recommend this business. They are all great people and do an excellent job!

We were flying low enough to see the scenery of the area including a good look at the Seattle skyline. There were some clouds so the mountain view was not as clear as it would be on a sunny day. Didn't really matter since there was so much else to see. Shane was the pilot both flights and he is very experienced and safety conscious. He also knows a tremendous amount about the area. That was an added bonus. Highly recommend this method of travel!
