I'm confident Regal Air is at the top for the following reasons: 1) An excellent group of instructors with vast experience and great dedication to their students. They are great at tracking your progress and customising training -as far as the regulation allows- according to your needs. They will try their very best to accommodate to your -sometimes crazy- hours and to offer as much ground and flight instruction as needed -even done remotely-. They do walk that extra mile for you! 2) Unmatched quality and safety. Having aircraft maintenance and FAA certified avionics repair station branches allows them to keep their planes in optimal conditions for students and rentals. Part of their management has Air Force background, which translates into impecable service, operations and procedures. As with facilities, you will always find airplanes extremely clean and well equipped and maintained, ready for your next flight. Their front desk staff is professional, helpful, friendly and very competent. 3) Great location. Paine Field is THE place where you want to learn. Delta and Echo -depending on the time of the day- neighbouring Bravo, Charlie and Golf air spaces, means you will have plenty of airspaces and traffic (including airlines) to practice with and become a very knowledgeable, competent and confident pilot. A large number of nearby airports and airfields with the umatched scenery of the area plus its own great location within Paine Field -which allows you to access its two runways within a few minutes-, make Regal Air one of the best located schools in the Pacific Northwest. 4)* During Covid pandemic times, I've been greatly impressed with their safety and sanitary measures. Regularly cleaned and sanitised facilities, temperature and symptom screenings upon entering the building, masks required inside facilities and when flying accompanied -which are actually enforced and complied with-, and gloves provided together with isopropyl and wipes to sanitise airplane interiors before flying. You will not know about it until you get to the meeting point and one couple will not get to sit together. Thus, it may be better to look into other companies and there are others! If you are planning to go as a group, there are better and more professional establishments which are cheaper and/or same priced. The only saving point of this establishment is Mark (seaplane pilot) who made all the efforts to not only ensure that our experience on the air was great but also to redeem the Company. Overall, in the state where aviation is one of the major industries, there are better, more professional, and cost efficient companies and small businesses. Try them. Thankfully, our pilot, James, was a jovial fellow with a good command of his craft. A short three minutes later I felt my pucker give way to a state of enrapturement at the Seattle skyline from several hundred feet in the air. There is a certain giddiness that comes from laughing in the face of your own mortality, especially with James on the mike. The time will fly by and before you know it, you'll be descending back to Boeing Field. It's so surprising to realize how little runway this plane needs in order to land. The Paine Field Location is subject to lower viz weather in the fall so I recommend starting as early in the summer as possible so that you have achieved your instrument rating by the fall. This will expedite your progress. I started in July of '18 and completed all of my ratings within 10 months. The program is challenging, and involves 2 months off site at Flight Instructor Academy. Additionally, it is expensive, but if speed is your goal, ATP can provide you the framework to accomplish this. With regard to the previous 2 reviews, yes, there is some truth in what they say. You may work with younger, less-experienced instructors, however, this program is not designed to coddle you through holding your hand. It is designed to provide you the resources to get a lot done in a short amount of time. The previous two reviewers sound young themselves. Be independent, do your homework, use the instructors as resources and you'll be fine.

Management is never on site and place is run by brand new CFI graduates. Checkride passing rate at this location is horrendous. I did not pass a checkride directly due to under preparation from my instructor. Do not waste your money here. Check out northway downstairs or regal air next door. Both schools are cheaper and more reliable, supportive and do not false advertise their program.

We were flying low enough to see the scenery of the area including a good look at the Seattle skyline. There were some clouds so the mountain view was not as clear as it would be on a sunny day. Didn't really matter since there was so much else to see. Shane was the pilot both flights and he is very experienced and safety conscious. He also knows a tremendous amount about the area. That was an added bonus. Highly recommend this method of travel!

We got stuck in Seattle and missed our original transportation by car and ferry but Friday Harbor Seaplanes came to our rescue. Michelle was absolutely amazing and got us booked on the first flight out the following morning so we didn't waste another moment of our trip. She arranged a shuttle to pick us up at the hotel we booked which was also quite the task as many hotels were completely booked up but we finally found one and Friday Harbor Seaplanes accommodated us and got us to the airport and flew us in to Orcas Island. I was really impressed by our pilot and how well he flew the plane. I was a bit nervous and I tend to get motion sickness and he made the flight very enjoyable and even checked in with me during the flight to see how I was feeling. I felt he took slight turns a bit more slow and careful with me in mind and it was very appreciated. My friend also had her baggage delayed by Delta Airlines for 2 days and Michelle was so kind to try and help us by arranging for the airport to deliver the luggage to them so they could bring it to the Friday Harbor dock on one of their daily flights. Unfortunately Delta was being lame and they wouldn't do it, but the fact that Friday Harbor Seaplanes was willing to help us went above and beyond our expectations. What amazing customer service! I hope to one day visit the islands again and without a doubt I will use Friday Harbor Seaplanes again. They treated us like family!! Thank you! I wholeheartedly recommend this business. British and American Dave were both excellent driving instructors who did an amazing job getting a new driver comfortable with being behind the wheel. I worked with my daughter a lot as she practiced her driving and got in her hours and really appreciated the "commentary driving" that they teach their students.

My son recently completed driver's ed with Defensive Driving of Mukilteo. I highly recommend them,…read moreand we will use their services again with our younger daughter in a few years. My son did all his drives with British Dave who was excellent. Dave is very patient and has the perfect demeanor to be a driving instructor. He is very knowledgable and a good teacher. My wife or I went along on all the rides and were very impressed with Dave's instruction. The online lessons with Jason were also very good. He kept my son's interest during the lessons and taught well. Overall, we were very pleased with the course.
