Shift manager Gabriel was unnecessarily rude and disrespectful, and this store has lost a customer for the company.
Backstory: I made an exchange of a Christmas gift on 1/2/23, and my salesperson, Josie, was helpful and professional. I chose 2 pairs of earrings to get for the exchange, knowing I'd need to pay the difference. My total was higher than I expected, but my daughter was getting antsy, so I paid and left. When I got home and looked at my purchases, I had second thoughts about one of the pairs and saw that the second had 2 different tags with a 20% price difference. I put everything back into the bag and put them into my car to return.
I am disabled (I have RA and can't stand for more than a few minutes without terrible pain), so I don't get out to stores often, and I work full-time. I tried twice to return the earrings, but got there as the store was closing and doors were locked.
Today, my husband and I went in to finally make the return. Two important points: 1-I am outside the 30-day return window, and 2-I didn't read the return policy on the receipt. These are my mistakes, and I am totally at fault. I would not be writing this review if Gabriel had said he couldn't do the return because of the date, or had said politely that the return policy was store credit. That's not the review I'm writing, though.
Gabriel, for the entirety of our interaction, was patronizing and condescending. He agreed to do the return, then continued to point out that I was outside the 30 days, like he was doing me a big favor. He hinted that I was trying to pull something over, as though I had changed the price stickers on the earrings, but that he would give me a price adjustment, though he could find no reason for the discrepancy. He was rude to me and my husband both, and by the time I left, I didn't want the store credit I'm stuck with. He should not be working in customer service, and I will not be back to that store. read more
