Phenomenal. I…read moreordered my ACs and wanted to bump up the installation date because it started to get unseasonably warm in the city and they were able to accommodate. Jim and his guy arrived right within the delivery window Jim specified and he called (then texted when I missed his call which was much appreciated) to let me know their ETA. When they arrived and found that one of the units didn't fit in the window, they had another one in the van that they were able swap it out with instead. I appreciated that they were ready to handle issues like this without it resulting in a second trip. Because the unit that would fit in the window was smaller than the one I ordered, there was of course a price difference in what I paid for vs. what was being installed and Jim let me know he'd be refund the difference without my asking. That spoke volumes about his business' ethics to me. Worth mentioning: Also without my asking, I noticed Jim removed his shoes when he was installing an AC unit in my bedroom (probably because he saw I was barefoot). I thought that was incredibly considerate and as someone who never writes reviews, that is the reason I'm writing this review. Really professional service, the units are super clean, and all-in-all, the whole process from booking to installation was a seamless experience. Definitely don't hesitate to book with these guys, it's worth every penny.

The initial installation of our heating system was done well and was satisfied at first. However,…read moreabout 11 months later the system began having repeated issues. Heating would be shut off during blistering cold days. This company came out repeatedly (about every other week) insisting it was an electrical problem. Eventually, I called another HVAC company to take a look and they were able to properly diagnose and fix the issue. Turns out it was just a faulty igniter all along. Ended up spending $300 instead of $1500 on new electrical that didn't need to be fixed. Disappointed with the repeated misdiagnosis and wasted time.

I did have to call and email multiple times to have the issue resolved, but it was resolved. Hopefully others have a more positive experience with this company than we did: They came to our home in May 2024 for AC "tune up" for the season. I was told that the system was in great order by the tech and supervisor with him. They charged me for the service: $169. That very same day the motor on our condenser failed. The part was under warranty, luckily; although they tried to charge me for the part, until I reminded the billing department I looked up the warranty myself. They did charge for the labor (169 again)-- despite the motor failure occurring the day they tuned up the system. November of 2024, we realized the Honeywell control board for our heating system had failed. Our system was about five years old at that point. Schulz techs replaced that part and charged us 455 for the service, which we paid shortly after receiving the bill. We paid using their online payment system on 11/17/2024 and payment processed 11/18/24. Eight months after they replaced the control board and we paid for the service, they sent another invoice for that same part from 11/2024 for 296 dollars. The original bill was for parts and labor. We found a far better company to use. We will not use Schulz again. Luckily my husband has his credit card statement and invoice to show we paid previously. Maybe just an error, but it isn't the first issue with this company.

I don't need to deal with people who treat their good customers so badly.

I think to myself, no big deal--he'll let me know when he's on the way so I can communicate that with the tenant. Flash forward to 3pm when he says he's on his way. I immediately inform the tenant who advises me he had stepped out but would be back in 5-10 minutes. I informed the HVAC technician immediately but he doesn't respond. I eventually call him only to receive an attitude on the other line saying he left the moment he realized no one was home. We argued for a bit until finally my tenant called him and pleaded with him to return over an hour later. Once he actually arrived, he charged me 3 hours of labor (over $800 total) for ~15 min of troubleshooting and a deep clean on the condenser... a task that should've only taken a pro ~45 min. If you value honesty and good communication, this is NOT the company to call. To make matters worse, upon learning of this review, the technician proceeded to harass me via text with all sorts of insults and slurs.

New England Ductless just completed a five day installation of three new Mitsubishi split systems…read moreworking off one condenser in our South Boston loft/condo. It provides primary A/C and supplementary heating for us. Overall, we're very satisfied. The project had some complex aspects that Brian, the sales rep, helped us to think through. The installation crews, under Alvaro and Carlos' leadership, were great. They worked through challenging circumstances (heat, thunderstorm) with the utmost professionalism. All were good, but Carlos, in particular, deserves to be singled out for his problem solving skills, dedication to doing the job well and his keen desire to leave the customer satisfied. Areas of improvement? We found the prices quoted for some "peripheral work" to be exorbitant (e.g. the cost of removing existing ducts and the quote we received for the replacement of our water heater). Also, handoffs between sales and installers, and different daily crews, weren't as polished as they might have been. These are small points. Overall, although "newbies" with our new system, we're delighted with its quiet performance, the freeing up of closet space, the creation of a separate zone for our guest bedroom, the elimination of "industrial" ducts and the features of the Kumo Cloud networking application. Well done, New England Ductless.

As someone previously in the home energy and sustainability field, I get asked often about our heat…read morepumps and I am constantly telling people to avoid this company. NE Ductless installed our heat pumps in 2021 and it's been one problem after another. Our air handler was faulty from the beginning and needed to be replaced immediately, they were not responsive to requests to inspect the system two years later and troubleshoot why it wasn't able to keep up in the winter months, and we subsequently had a subpar service visit from them. I knew I was really done with them when I identified that they used a product in my install that is prone to corrosion and refrigerant leaks, and they refused to do anything unless/until a leak occurs. Now, I've had a major leak into my bedroom from the air handler and it was discovered that there were several things NE Ductless did incorrectly during the install that caused the leak (including an improper joint transition in the drainage line that was kinked and caused the system to back up, drainage parts that hadn't been installed, and a drain pan that was noticeably pitched instead of level as it should have been). The company who came to fix it was really shocked at how poor of an installation it was, and of course these things were not noticed when they came for service less than 2 years prior. When I let NE Ductless know, I got a defensive email back. This company does not stand by its work and its customer service is atrocious. Run, don't walk.
