TERRIBLE! If the meals were $10, yeah sure, I wouldn't be complaining because you get what you pay for. But every meal was $20 and over. When me and my family received our meals, it was nothing but a disappointment. The chicken was extremely hard and flinging across the table when cut. The smash burger quesadillas were underwhelming. For the price we payed, my family and I are very disappointed. Don't come here if you are looking for good food for a good price. Menu looked great, including the new 1978 menu which my father ordered from. Which was steak and blue cheese pasta. Starting there, the second the dish came out it was an absolute eyesore. Fatty sad looking chunks of meat on a wet greyish pasta with chunks of cheese thrown on. My dad said the steak was the fatiest steak hes had. And we go to chucks all the time so weve had plenty of lower end priced steaks. I got chicken and a loaded baked potato. The chicken seems like frozen patties that were thrown on the grill, and the potato didnt even have real cheese yet this runny watery orange "cheese" on it. Service: We walked into an empty restaurant and told them we needed a table of 15. After being told they were not able to accommodate us at 11:10 (restaurant opens at 11) because there is a reservation at 11:30. We were patient and offered that we could be split up into different tables. We were then seated by the hostess (we were so appreciative) and readied ourselves at the table to do drinks and food before the reservation came, in order to help provide less chaos in the kitchen. As we sat there we watched a table of 6 come in and get seated and served no issues. However, after 11:35 hit and not receiving any communication (not even a be right with you) we decided to leave because we did not have any hopes at receiving any service. As we were leaving there was a table of 10 coming in and it was communicated to that table "no problem we have a table leaving". They were seated IN THE PLACE WHERE WE WERE LEAVING FROM! Food: I wish I could comment because I love Kelsey's food however for this specific restaurant I cannot because we did not receive any service. Atmosphere: very clam because no one was in the restaurant we were able to have a nice conversation amongst family and friends. But the no communication and negative eye contact made this atmosphere almost hostile as people were feeling unwanted after 25 minutes. Especially 5 hungry children! read more

I will never go back to any Kelsey's in my life. I went to order the wings for the 1/2 off today and I asked to put it in a container to go and the waitress told me I could not do that. then I asked to order it and put it on a plate. she went to go asked and the manager said no and sent the waitress back to the table. Then the waitress got the manager and I was told that because it was a dine in only that I could not put it in a container. she went on to say "I will stand here and watch you eat them all." I went to Kelsey's for a late lunch today I ordered Chicken Parmesan (two fried Parmesan crusted chicken breasts, topped with garlic tomato sauce and served over linguine tossed in their pesto Alfredo sauce). The place was pretty clean and I loved all the televisions. A bit noisy but you can have a conversation without yelling. The food was better than I expected. They have burgers and of course chicken. The service was very attentive and friendly. I will stop here the next time I am in town. read more

Ordered for 10 people and only got one bag of food. What we got was cold and mushy (how do you screw up a hamburger?) Kelsey's manager argued it was Skip The Dishes fault, but turned out rest of order was still sitting in their kitchen getting cold. Insult to injury, they wanted us to come pick it up. Don't come here for Fish and Chips (or the shrimp). Fish is heavily battered, and apparently rolled in potato chips, then fried. This type of batter results in a VERY crispy coating, that is difficult to eat, but more importantly, not very tasty. I ended up removing all batter and eating the fish, which was overcooked. Another person in my party ordered the shrimp, and it was battered exactly the same as the fish, same issue, and after peeling the batter off, the shrimp itself had a "freezer burn" texture to it. I have avoided Kelsey's for a long time because of a similar experience many years ago. Might be good for others, but not for me. Our server was very polite and friendly. read more

The food was bad and the amount of hot sauce they covered the chicken in actually made me throw up. The drink were good and the decor is nice but besides that this place is down hill. When paying the waitress took off after leaving us with the debit machine. We waited a good 15 minutes and she still didn't come back while we were waiting to hand her her tip for service. She's lucky that was the only money lost. Anyone else could have just dashed without paying. It took them a long time to get food out and there were only 2 other people at the bar there. read more

Well I thought I'd give it another try. Every time I go I say I'm not coming back. Today was no exception. We arrived for lunch around 12:20pm. We waited 10 mins for drink orders. We ordered two white wines. One came in a wine glasses the other in a cocktail glass as "the other two wines glasses were out". Really?? We ordered the salt and vinegar coated fish and chips and a half order of nachos. At 1:15 our food arrived. The fish was over cooked and dry. The nachos were stale and disgusting. I feel like I got the end of one bag and the start of a new bag. I did discuss with the waitress. They offered a new platter of nachos but I had an appointment and wasn't able to wait another 45 minutes for food. I thought they might discount the bill. But that didn't happen. It just seemed like the person who prepared the food didn't care. They weren't even that busy. I won't be going back anytime soon. read more

I will give our server, the service and the food 5stars. But, and to me it's a big one, we arrivied at 5:30pm Thursday nite for dinner. The front walkway was terrible, snow covered and slippery. It had not snowed all day so there was no excuse for this not being cleaned off and salted. As a senior I worry about falling at my age. This was very upsetting to both myself and my husband. Been there twice since the big renovation, and both times the service was slow, taking 45-60 mins for food to arrive, and out of 4 orders each time there was at least one problem with the order. Went last night, the place was 75% full, and only looked like there were 2 waitresses on. The greeting person told us that Crabby Joes was closed for 3 days because of A/C issues, so they were much busier. Why wouldn't they have more staff on then? Food was ok, but certainly not hot when it finally did arrive. Won't be going back any time soon. read more

Went to celebrate a friend's birthday the past weekend and the server informed us that at 6pm they don't have anymore calamari or shrimp since they only make so much in a day. We went on Saturday. We were limited on the foods we could order since they only make a set amount and the server made my friends feel like they should have ordered apps as soon as they got there like it was their fault. the food was okay at best but not worth the amount they charge. I'm very disappointed. I came to look at the renovations and it looks good but service was horribly slow. My food came out with someone that wasn't even my original waiter. They completely changed the spinach dip I liked it better before also ran out of dip before the chips were gone. Also got a quesadilla I wish it said somewhere that it would be spicy.
