I found that when I told each of them that I wanted a firm mattress they all wanted me to lay down on the ones they had there on the floor and try them out. They all huffed when I said that that wouldn't work for me because the truth is, every dang one of them would all feel good at that moment after a long day and that I really wouldn't know for sure until after I had slept on it for 8 hours. And of course, they all assure me that theirs was the best. So, after all was said and done, I went for the firm memory foam mattress from The Mattress Company. The gal gave me the best deal and she threw in the recommended mattress protector for cost, and, I liked her attitude, humor and personality after having to put up with me and all of my nonsensical questions. So, after a few months of getting use to the firm memory foam mattress I like it pretty well. I dont expect to have to go mattress shopping for quite some time but when I do need a new mattress my first stop will be The Mattress Company.

Before they arrived, our family received pillows as a Christmas gift and ended up loving those. When the Mattress Firm pillows were delivered, we never opened the box. Within a few weeks of purchase, I returned to the store to request a refund. Despite the pillows being unopened, unused, and brand new, the store refused to take them back. What made this experience significantly worse was the behavior of the store manager. She was rude, dismissive, and completely indifferent to the financial impact this had on our family. She refused to be helpful in any way, would not allow me to speak with anyone else or escalate the issue, and essentially shut the conversation down in a hostile manner. Being treated with this level of disrespect while being denied a refund for $500 of unopened merchandise is outrageous. There was no empathy, no customer service, and no professionalism shown. I strongly advise anyone considering shopping at this location to be extremely cautious and to get return policies in writing. Based on this experience, I will never shop here again.

A person with dementia or some other impairment, or even accidentally, would end up on the floor. The bed would simply dump them. What if they could not get up? This should have been pointed out to us at the point of purchase. Also, a person who needed to sleep in a heads up reclining position would be on a downward slant, which would be uncomfortable and untenable. You couldn't stay there. You would continue to slide downward. When I called the store, the salesperson said I had to pay 250.00, to return the bed. I think this is unfair. The bed is unsafe. He would not give me a supervisor's name or number and says that there is no one in a supervisory capacity he would give me a name or number to. This is wrong!

There were at least three floors of furniture, lots of options. If you are looking for a sleeper sofa, definitely check this place out. We got a good deal on our purchases (they can usually meet other stores' prices) and they threw in delivery for free (normally $125). Definitely will be at the top of my list next time I need some furniture.

I also located their truck, randomly parked on the opposite side of the block, unconnected to anything. How pathetic that their "new" location, posted on their website, is a total bust - an abandoned storefront. Even more pathetic is the disrespect shown to potential customers by not updating the website, voicemail, or even the door of the former site. If I could give them zero stars, I would.
