I am a DYI guy, but even with Youtube I thought this repair a little more than I wanted to tackle on my dishwasher. After speaking with a very courteous person on the phone, we made an appointment for three days away. I awaited a call on the day of the appointment. I would have like to get the call sooner in the day for better planning of my day ( Just an FYI) I was contacted about 12:30 pm of there pending arrival. Dane and Joe arrived ( both wearing mask) and politely introduced themselves. I gave them my (youtube) evaluation of the problem which was confirmed after they did a coded verification of the issue. Even though it did not say exactly the problem ( Pump failure of some sort) Danes experience said that these indicators still pointed toward that and they went ahead with the replacement. Just like suspected that was the problem Joe was apprenticing Dane but he did most of the replacement under Danes supervision with very little guidance needed. I was able to watch the whole operation ( DYI guy interest) and even pick Danes brain on this. They were very efficient with their time and had installed and back together with no issues. I called this company a month ago for a part on my LG washer. They sent out a 20 year old boy who knew nothing stayed for a couple of hours and then said I have to go back to my office and talk to someone... They set up another appointment 12 to 5 ..five hours. I waited for them to come no phone call, I finally called them and they said unfortunately your tech called in sick, no one's coming... They never called me. They never kept me in the loop. We have used Kelly's repair service in the past and they have always provided great service for a reasonable price. Yesterday Mark went over and above for us. The refrigerator 'died' or so we thought because the refrigerator and freezer were not cooling. I called Kelly's and spoke with Mark who squeezed us in at the end of the day for a modest emergency fee. My dishwasher door needed replacement of the mechanism that allows it to open without flopping to the floor. The part cost $20.00. The technician spent less than 20 minutes replacing it. The labor charge was $192.99. I assume that is the hourly charge. A bill of $215.00 for a twenty dollar part seems very high. I realize that the bill also covers travel time and that the company is about 10 miles away, but I assume the company schedules visits for several customers in one locale on the same day, and this was not an emergency visit. read more

I called to have an igniter replaced in my stove. I was charged $80 and labor at $90. Ok...but the additional "service fee" was $129. I was told this fee was to "diagnose" the problem. Most appliance repair people just diagnose, then charge parts and labor. I feel like I was charged the $129 as a gouge excuse for them to make more money. Go elsewhere if you need appliance repair and see if you can find a more honest company. read more

I needed a few repairs, and with many people home right now, I'm sure businesses like these are in high demand, and I'm happy for them. The office was quick in responding to my call, and very professional in setting my appointment, which was about 5 days out. I got the legend himself, Mark Kelly on my visit. He was very professional and respectful, with mask and shoe covers, and also called when he was about ten minutes away and en route. I had some issues with washer, microwave, and dishwasher. He fixed them all in about 60-90 minutes, explained in laymen's terms what he was doing and other preventative tips, and the price was very reasonable. This was a Friday afternoon, and it sent me into the weekend very happy, taking 3 items of to do off of my list. My dishwasher was leaking from the front door and Mark came to take a look. After spending almost an hour, and no leak he stated if it leaked again he would be right out. Well of course it didn't leak when he was there but the first time we tried using it, bam, leaking again. I called and he was back out to my place within a couple of days, no charge. This time, no leak again even though I showed him exactly where the water was coming out. So he couldn't fix it, but it wasn't that he didn't try. To top it off he sent me back my original check for the service call. He didn't need to do that as he came to my house twice no charge. I read all the great reviews and was looking forward to having them come out to our home in rural Petaluma. My son is staying at the home and we gave them 3 phone numbers because cell service is spotty. My son and our caretaker were home waiting for them. The tech claims he came out but no one was there and he left messages on the phones. Not only was someone around but not one of our phones had messages or even missed calls. I would not have been unhappy if they had apologized about a miscommunication but instead they implied that we were lying. I do not believe in dealing with a business that treats customers that badly. read more

Sam and Bianca removed the front panel and found the source of the noise: a pebble wedged in next to the drum. All I had to pay was the service call, but I got great service. First contact with a very courteous customer service woman on the phone who set up the appointment. Dane and his trainee tried to troubleshoot the problem with ice forming in the bottom of my bottom drawer refrigerator. This problem was ongoing for months and our ice maker was not working so we replaced it thinking it was the source of the problem. No luck, the ice continued so I called Kelly's. Shane initially said the problem was the valve that regulated the flow of water to the ice maker. He also said that the problem could be the water filtration system the supplies the unit. (??) I had mentioned that it appeared to me that the water was coming from behind the metal at the back of the freezer but this idea was discounted by Dane. He completed the job, 225.00 later, and left. Two hours later I checked the freezer and noticed water and ice again forming in the bottom. I called Kelly's and received a return call from Dane who said it was probably residual ice melting after the steam he used and to call back the next day if it continued. Fast forward 24 hours the ice was forming as badly as before. I scheduled another appointment and requested the same techs since they had already started the project. Dane returned as scheduled and as we walked into the kitchen he said "I'm afraid you might have a cracked water line." What Dane didn't know is that I had done some research and discovered that this is a common issue with this model and that there is a drain hole in the location I mentioned previously to Dane. The hole becomes clogged causing ice to form. I mentioned this to Dane and he scoffed and said, "I know about the drain." If he knew about the drain I'm wondering why I was charged 225.00 for a part I probably didn't need when clearing the ice from the drain was the simple solution. read more

They were on time, clean, courteous and told me before they started how they'd fix the problem and how much it would cost. I called Kelly's this morning regarding my dryer that didn't produce heat and they gave me a same day window appointment between 12-2. Mark called to say he was on his way arriving around 1 and within 30 minutes diagnosed the problem (igniter), quoted cost to fix, replaced the igniter and even removed clogged lint in outside ventilator. In this case the reviews are accurate. They came on time. They were completely professional. They informed me ahead of time what might be broken. They found the simplest repair and did it in less than 15 minutes. They told me how to use the machine in the future to avoid the same repair (always wash more than one item at a time). Then I asked about my stove temperature buttons (up was working, down was not). They opened up the top of the stove, saw that an anchor of some sort had broken. Then they took out a soldering iron so that I wouldn't have to replace the whole motherboard and in about 30 more minutes I could adjust the temperature down again. Totally worth every penny.
