CJ came out, looked at what we had (flagstone walkway in need of repair) and gave us a couple of different scenarios/costs for work based on what the masons found when they came out. We decided to go with Salzano as they wouldn't guarantee the minimal effort/cost, but gave us several estimates based on level of effort. The other company just said, "Yeah, we can do it." after a cursory glance. As it turns out, the walkway was salvageable and we didn't have to go to the more effort/higher cost options (they didn't BS us just to make more$$). The work performed is immaculate including coming back to pressure /acid wash the flagstones when the mortar set and also repair a tiny bit of mortar that came loose. The communication with CJ and the Salzano office was great throughout the process. I most highly recommend them.

Based upon my previous experience with them and the quality of their work, I had them come out this week to replace my walkway. One of the steps on my stoop was cracked which caused me to think that I would need to replace the stoop. Mr Turley inspected it and recommended cutting away the step and leaving to stoop as is. I suspect that others may have recommended replacing the stoop - about 25% added to the cost - but Mr. Turley is an honest man. One of the things he does is add joints that allows expansion and contraction yet still keeps water from getting under the concrete and causing freeze bumps during the cold season, one of the major causes for cracks in concrete. Where my neighbors driveways are cracked, mine still looks like the day it was poured. I highly recommend C.B. Turley.

As another reviewer mentioned, it is a small family owned business but their workmanship and attention to detail is highly commendable. They took the time to explain the process to us and a week later, they implemented exactly what they said they would do. This included the addition of expanders and taking care to protect our yard and doors. They left our property spotless. The biggest pro for me was that they were totally self managed and gave us no cause whatsoever to oversee their work or worry about them taking any short cuts or giving us sub-standard material. We will not hesitate to use them if and when more concrete work needs to be done on our property.

We wanted someone concentrating on our job and of course we wanted high quality work too. In this busy metro area that is difficult to come by but Joe Morgado at Art Masonry Inc. fulfills this and more. He is literally an old world stone mason - from Portugal. Upon site/plan review with us he sent an estimate and hand-drawn rendering of what would be our stone patio. We loved him and the renderings so much it was a no brainer for us to use Joe. He didn't disappoint as he showed up exactly when he said he would and the patio was completed ahead of projection. He hand picked and laid all the flagstone himself (he has help with laying the cement, rebar, moving things around and filling in the mortar). He is a perfectionist with his work and we are thrilled with the final outcome. Not only did it delight our family, a good friend who's a nationally recognized landscape architect visited and was extremely impress with his work "That is a REALLY nice patio... Very, very well done." We are so impressed, a year later we have Joe back putting in our patio fireplace. We couldn't be happier with him or his work! One small caveat that shouldn't deter you whatsoever (I only mention this because I know there are some people who might be concerned) Joe, having immigrated from Portugal, will point out he can have difficulty understanding American English over the phone and thus prefers emails and in-person meetings. Do not let this stop you - he's amazing and brings all the old world techniques and charm to your projects. I HIGHLY recommend Joe for all of your stone masonry projects! He's a gem and a true talent!

We found about Superior Landscaping on yelp and Angie's list…read more We wanted to get a patio done in the back of the house. We called three places and Superior landscape was one of them. Not only was their price very reasonable, but when Troy came he answered all our questions with a lot of patience. We would has very specific questions because we were worried about drainage issues, the durability of the patio Etc. He answered all our questions and made us feel really secure. We decided to go with them. They set a date and came promptly on time. About six to seven people came to put the patio and everybody worked together in unison to get the job done. One thing that really stood out that impressed me other than their workmanship was what they did with the dirt that they dug up. They took the dirt into the forest, but they didn't just dump it back there. Someone would be back there to take the dirt that gets dumped out and then even it out so it doesn't disturb the forest. This may not seem like a very big issue but it made me feel that wherever they work, they want to keep the area looking as undisturbed as possible. Very impressive. After the work was done we asked a few more questions to the foreman He answered the questions very easily and with a lot of confidence. I called Troy after the job was done and asked him a few more questions and he reassured us that everything is going to be great in regards to any drainage issues and durability. It was a very pleasant experience and the patio is really great.
