The food was amazing crawfish corn and potatoes. I will be back. I was able to get My food and eat it outside on the porch.

Think Diners, Dives and Drive Inns or Anthony Bourdian, No Reservations. Adrian was our server and was the star of the night curating the perfect Cajun expierence for me while ensuring my not so Cajun curious wife was handled with care. Seafood Gumbo was excellent followed by the Catfish Billy, which is 2 dishes in one. Crawfish ettoufie with a fried catfish filet served atop with a portion "crawfish gravy" ! The flavors and textures were perfection and the crunch of the catfish added character along with a crunch that wouldn't allow you to stop eating. The Carrott Cake was ordered to go and was the perfect breakfast with a black coffee pour over the next morning. To be fair when we pulled into the parking lot we thought oh maybe we had hit the very edge of our find a "joint" ambition. Once inside the vibe of dive and/or joint hits hard but if you pay attention you will pick up on the volume of tables, which is evidence of the volume of patrons that frequent this local hideaway. We were there on a Wed night after the typical 5-630 dinner time so it was quiet. Adrian was welcoming and attentive, ensuring our needs were not simply met but exceeded. The best Resturant review isn't one that simply mashed the 5 stars, rather it's one that declares if I were local I would be a regular, in this case at Robert's River Road Resturant. PS - my wife got chicken strips that came with enough to serve a family of three. The lefties will be turned into a chicken Po Boy for a lunch

The restaurant has an old feeling but very nice decorated. Their complimentary bread with butter is a nice start while waiting for your meal. We ordered bbq shrimp and grits, salad, river road shrimp, papilotte, catch of the day fish with shrimp and rice. We enjoyed the bread pudding and all the other dishes.

So close to home, so delicious, and perfect treat after long work week!…read more Bala oyster special appetizer was a spot on to curb hunger as we began meal. Highly recommend appie special. We both decided to have steaks and WOW! Filet with cream spinach and Cajun ribeye special were the entrees. Beverages paired nicely! I've found the blueberry lemon drop to be my ABSOLUTE favorite cocktail they serve. Destiny was our waiter and she was attentive and on point with beverage refills. The bar just seems to run a bit slowly... wait time for starting round on average seems a bit slow. Appreciate how restaurant has many smaller rooms to keep noise levels down.

As soon as the hostess sat us down I noticed that the table were very close by each other which I don't like simply bc I could hear the next tables conversation and it was hard to have a conversation of my own. Other than that, the service was good. Our waiter was very nice and efficient and knew the menu like the back of his hand! I ordered the Dru Platter which was the choice of two items off the seafood platter and I got the friend shrimp and fish and it was pretty good. The shrimp were my favorite and it was fried and seasoned very well. For dessert I had the white chocolate bread pudding and it was very good! Very moist and not to sweet but just right! If I go again this would be something that I would definitely get! No if, ands, or buts about it! That bread pudding was a 10/10! Overall, I would rate this place. 6/10!

Service is top notch and food is perfect! With so many options, we decided to share the following: -mint julep -Stella Artois beer -Rosemary ciabatta with sugarcane whipped butter -fried green tomatoes (with lump crab meat so big I thought they were shrimp at first glance!) -shrimp and lobster bisque -side Caesar salad -barbecue shrimp and grits -creme brûlée with fresh berries All so delish! My favorites: the warm, fresh, and crispy bread with soft and seeet sugarcane butter , the lump crabmeat with 3 crispy fried tomato medallions, and the creme brûlée! I could have eaten a serving dish of that creme brûlée and fresh berries! I love the crunchy, caramelized top mixed with the creamy center. Then, for breakfast, we were immediately impressed with all the fresh fruit selections that tasted as good as they looked. We opened the chafing dishes to find bacon, sausage patties, grits, biscuits, pancakes, and scrambled eggs! Only momentary complaint was no biscuit for the gravy? My husband didn't ask though, and I bet they would have gotten some for us if he really wanted it. Oh and overall, the only thing that had me just slightly thinking 4 instead of 5 stars was no music?! We sat on the rotunda/veranda area, so perhaps it was just because we were not in the main restaurant. Don't remember hearing it while walking through the main part but no biggie. For breakfast, we were the only ones there at first, so I hooked us up with some NEEDTOBREATHE on Spotify. That made it al perfect! We will definitely be back!! -
