However, as pleased as I was with a temporary outcome, with more to follow, I was not thrilled with the billing process. She was taking my insurance when I first saw her. Then she was dropping it the next time, but I was still under coverage. I am being billed $205 (of which I am paying monthly for $5 each), I am on a fixed income. After I had already paid $100 of the bill when my insurance company informed me that I should never been billed any amount for the service performed under the agreement betweeen the office and the insurance which ws covering me at the time. Once she reported me to multiple agencies, I decided I had to work it into my fixed budget, someway, somehow. Apparently, they had the dunning agency call me to tell me I wasn't paying enough. I am so picky about the dentists I use, I have not found a new one. I will continue to choose to suffer than return to this office. AND, thanks to the bill collector, continue paying a debt that isn't mine to begin with.

Also quoted dental work at a cost of 2 1/2 times the cost I was quoted from a dentist a year earlier. I hope dental cost aren't rising that quickly. I will go anywhere but here. I haven't had any interaction with Dr. Moody, he may be a great dentist but his practice leaves a lot to be desired.

He's smart, competent, and responsive to questions and concerns. Dr. Dave explained the need for orthodontia when my daughter was younger, and is monitoring growth of wisdom teeth to let us know the right time for removal. My kids like him, and I think most children would feel the same. The entire staff does a great job: from scheduling to regular prophylaxis to billing and payment, we've never had a problem.

I only visited Aspen because my crown fell out and my regular dentist was on vacation for the week. With upcoming travel plans, I needed to get it fixed immediately, and Aspen was able to get me in the same day. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, and the check-in process was incredibly smooth thanks to their tablet based technology. The office itself was modern, clean, and professional. Compared to my current dentist's office, which is starting to feel a little dated, Aspen's facility felt very up to date. I understand this is a corporate dental practice, but I also have to admit that it may be difficult for smaller independent offices to compete with the technology Aspen has invested in. Every piece of equipment used during my visit seemed advanced and efficient. As someone who appreciates organizations that embrace technology to improve the customer experience, I was genuinely impressed. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and helpful, including the dentist. Maybe they were trying to win me over from my current dentist, but if so, it worked. March 28, 2025, I went to Aspen Dental in Glen Carbon, IL for routine dental work following a…read moreconsultation a few days earlier. I was advised to undergo periodontal treatment and a tooth extraction, which I approved ahead of my Friday appointment. After being taken back, I was given numbing injections to prepare for the periodontal procedure. However, I was then left alone in the chair for over 45 minutes with no one checking on me. Knowing the office closes early on Fridays, I became concerned as time kept passing. Eventually, a technician came in and completed what was supposed to be a full periodontal treatment in about 15 minutes for all four quadrants. I've had this procedure done multiple times before, and it has always taken well over an hour. When she began finishing up, I asked if the treatment was complete, and she said yes. I also asked about polishing, and she told me it wasn't included. At that point, I could hear staff rushing around. When I asked what time they closed, I was told they were closing in 10 minutes--which explained why the procedure felt rushed, especially after I had already been left waiting for so long. I was also supposed to have an extraction done that day. A few days later, I called the office to report that my teeth still felt like there was debris left behind from the "treatment." I was scheduled to come back in, and after new X-rays were taken, it was clear that significant areas had been missed and needed to be redone. I spoke with the office manager and expressed my dissatisfaction with the poor quality of care, especially given the high cost. We agreed that I would be refunded all out-of-pocket expenses, and only the periodontal treatment would be billed to insurance, with all other services (extraction, flipper, etc.) refunded. I saw refunds issued back to my credit card, so I assumed everything--including the insurance refund--had been handled. However, when I went to another dentist recently, I found out Aspen Dental never refunded the insurance company as promised. I called to speak with the office manager, but was told she had just joined a conference call. The person I spoke with immediately became defensive and claimed they could not issue refunds for services already rendered. She also stated she was not present when the original agreement was made. This entire experience has been frustrating and unprofessional--from rushed and incomplete treatment to poor follow-through and lack of accountability. I strongly recommend thinking twice before agreeing to services at this practice.

They are efficient and knowledgeable about insurance and able to answer questions about procedures and coverage. When you get in that chair you can relax and watch tv! The hygienist does her job with care and concern for your comfort. Best of all Dr Bryant is an excellent dentist! He has done lots of work on me over the years and absolutely pain free. I have needed a rather unusual procedure to tighten up an old implant and it was no big deal to Dr Keith Bryant He is very professional and just a darn good dentist. I had a root canal and still ended up losing the tooth a few months later. I know this happens…read more They were friendly and its ok. I was upset that I had the root canal and before I left, I was asked for a $250 co-pay. They were lucky I had it. The lady told me when I called to question it that if I had read the paperwork I signed, I would have seen there was a copay. The "paperwork" was on a tablet and the wifi shut down three time while I was filling it out and had to start from scratch so again, I guess I can say my fault but a simple heads up would have been appreciated. Then I started getting bills for the remainder of the payment which again I had no idea about. The tooth really wasn't that important. I made a payment arrangement and the payments are automatically taken out of my bank monthly. I am still getting demanding statements saying payment due now or face collections and must pay within 30 days to avoid further action. I'm on a payment arrangement!!! What more do you want?? It's just bad customer service. The harassment isnt necessary.
