Dr. R. struck me as a bit of an oddball when I first met him--almost overly cheerful. Over time, though, that demeanor seemed to fade. I never felt like my dental needs were truly being addressed; it often felt more like my teeth were being prepped for future repairs. Then came a visit where he told me I needed a root canal on a healthy tooth. At the time, I didn't question his opinion, but I had my doubts. My understanding is that root canals are typically necessary when a tooth is significantly compromised. At my most recent visit, a molar cracked, and I immediately had that sinking feeling: "root canal." I was right. When I told him I wasn't on board, he simply stood there tapping his foot, waiting for me to give in. I told him I would be seeking a second opinion--and that's exactly what I did. My new dentist confirmed that a root canal was not necessary, as the tooth was still healthy. Unfortunately, that experience caused me to lose all trust.

She wouldn't ask dentist for pain med as it was too big a hassle. Let me go to the ER instead. He might be ok with a different asst, but she seems to run the place. I went back to filling them out and the receptionist asks me for my insurance card. Being military Tri-Care does not have dental cards. They use our ID numbers to process. She proceeded to tell me they are unable to process me without it. I shared that that wasn't true. "Excuse me?" with a very thick attitude. I repeated myself but couldn't explain further because i was being told "well let me just get my manager for you" How would one want to be seen at a place where they don't want to even help you before you see the doctor? No thank you.

After 50 years of very bad practices on dental care…read moreand a severe case of dry mouth for the last 5 years or so, I have learned dry mouth is a breeding ground for cavities .The staff are doing their best to help me get more years of being able to chew my food. I don't remember the names of all the staff but that isn't important. They all are exceptional at their jobs. I had another 4 cavities filled today. I do have one name to share, Marcie, I informed Dr. Wilson that I want Marcie to be my personal numbing artist. I have had way too many needles stuck in my mouth over the years and lots of pain to go with them. I tensed up when Marcie came in room, she raised my lip and before I realized it .she was done. Thank you Marcie and Randall Wilson and the most pleasant staff of professional smile makers. Thank you for the opportunity to give a review.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Randall Wilson/Cornerstone Dental for more than 2 decades…read morebecause of the such high-quality dental care we continue to receive. My reason for first becoming Dr. Wilson's patient was to get a 2nd opinion when my new dentist (at the time) told me I needed to underdo some expensive dental procedures. Dr. Wilson quickly diagnosed the procedures as unnecessary saving me a small fortune. Over the last 20 years, my extended family and I have continued to get our every 6-month teeth cleanings because most of the Cornerstone dental hygienists are top-notch putting in extra effort in removing as much plaque and tartar as possible to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. One of my favorite hygienists is Kerri because she does such an outstanding job each time. While you can't schedule a teeth cleaning with a specific hygienist, I always feel very lucky when I'm one of Kerri's patients. Over the last two years, I've had to have some expensive dental work completed to address two of my lower molars (with fillings) finally becoming brittle and wearing out (after over 5 decades of use). Dr. Wilson and his staff did an outstanding job crowning these molars, and they ended up being a much improved and well-worth-the-investment upgrade. Lastly, my family and I have always been impressed with how well Cornerstone Dental is managed, which includes patient appointment scheduling, high devotion to cleanliness and using modern technologies and best practices, procedure billings, and employee professionalism and friendliness.

Of all the times I have ever been to the dentist I have NEVER yelled out in pain as I did when I recieved the 4 shots to numb me up. He pushed the medicine in so fast that I just felt it build up in one spot, almost like a super pressure burning sensation, mind you I am a 32 year old male and I don't consider myself a wimp. The person assisting the dentist did not put much effort into swabbing the topical numbing gel before the shots, and the dentist did not give much time for it to take affect. Like I said before, the actual procedure went well, although at first I though he cracked my front tooth. After everything was done I asked if I was going to get any antibiotics for the remainder of the infection, they told me that it should go away since the abscess was removed. I am not 100% convinced that it will. The infection made my actual jaw swell, kind of like the feeling when you are numb from the dentist with how your jaw feels twice as big, but without the loss of feeling, but instead it is tender. I now am going back to AFFORDABLE DENTISTRY because here lately that has been my best experience. I may have to schedule a follow up with them to double check this infection. The only thing that made this visit worth it was Jennette. She was very nice and helpful, in fact almost everyone was very nice. The dentist was nice but really did not want to spend much time with the patient, he just wanted to rush through everything. Thats why there are 2 stars instead of 1, it is because everyone was nice. I just can not go through another experience like that again.

Even their own oral surgeon advised surgery, bone, hygiene were excellent. Prosthetic was problem. May be putting too much pressure on salivary glands. He would talk to Prosthetic team and they would call me. Didn't hear anything and in extreme pain so went to office Monday without appointment requesting Prosthetic removal. Advised no. Told them i wasn't leaving until they were removed. Too much pain. After an hour or so. They were removed. I once again advised lowers and uppers were loose. The assistant confirmed uppers loose but didn't touch lowers. Put on caps, I left but no one set up time to discuss the bad Prosthetic. They simply sent letter dumping me as a patient because they weren't going to fix the defective Prosthetic that I paid $54000 for, and do you think they are going to refund the .money since they didn't meet their obligation? Just send me elsewhere so I can pay more money to fix their screw-up! My mouth is so sore I can't eat, drink nor talk. Pain pills no longer help. Unable to post picture but my mouth is so badly injured, the other dentist can't do anything for 3-4 weeks so mouth can heal. Again, cannot post picture of letter dated July 6 sent from Dr Pinkston advising they will no longer be my dental provider. Been complaining since early 2025 but they never fixed problem. Just push me off to another company. Don't care about their patients. Only the money. I just read Aspen Dental who owns Choice Care is about to go bankrupt.
