Not sure where to start with this review! We were overly excited to take my son to this dentist…read morebecause it's very kid friendly. The office decor is super kiddy and very colorful. My son who's very shy and attached to us (parents) wiggles down and went to go play with other kids which is shocking to us a bit. So that's the positive side! Ok, now here's my mistake. Our dental insurance covers almost everywhere but apparently this place was out of network. Ok my bad, I should have checked before I got there. But they way they treated us was so poorly. The assistant seemed like she didn't want to take care of us at all. She was waiting for the "OK" if our insurance covered or not before she took my son back. And the big guy at the receptionist desk was just bluntly rude and stuck up. He had that I'm better than you kind of attitude. Also, front desk people were dressed like bums. You would think you would have your staff dressed more appropriately and no it wasn't a causal Friday. Another thing is after the visit with the doctor, generally kids get to pick/or given a sticker or prize. Nope not my son, he didn't exist to them apparently. Anyways, the other positive thing is that Dr. Rice was fantastic! He was very friendly and attentive. It would be nice if his staff was trained the same way.

He is wonderful with children. He understands their unique needs, and he makes certain that they are met. My son commented to his hygienist that he didn't like the way her gloves tasted, and she made a notation in his chart that he was sensitive to tastes and smells. On our next appointment, they adapted his care based on his sensitivity. And we did not even ask them! Dr. Beyersdorfer and his staff also spend time in schools talking with children about dental care. My husband is military, and as we prepare to move this summer, my 8 year old is most upset to leave Dr. Kevin. She asked if we could still drive to see him, saying, "Mom, it's only 4 hours!" To me, that says it all! I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Beyersdorfer to anyone without hesitation.

However, I saw fit to leave a review because my children love this dentist office. The staff is super friendly and they go above and beyond to ensure that children feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire appointment. They even gave my kids gift bags to take home and practice their brushing and flossing. For the first week after my 5-year old's appointment, she told me repeatedly that sugar was bad for her teeth and that she was going to brush her teeth after every meal. You don't understand, it was repeatedly. It was a bit redundant, but I was happy that she learned something new and was happy to share. Now, for adults, you would also appreciate this office because of the professionalism of the staff and cleanliness of the facility. The waiting room has comfy clean couches and a TV to keep you occupied. The staff was very friendly and just as knowledgeable as the dentist. Dr. Thompson is amazing and very straight forward with her guidance on maintaining healthy teeth. She even gave me a pep talk on stopping my 5-year old's finger sucking and I am happy to report that it worked and she no longer sucks her fingers! I wanted to schedule my next appointment in October, and I gave them my insurance's coverage information that clearly states the appointment would be covered. However, based on some "policy" that the front desk came up with, they wanted me to schedule the appointment in November because they were worried insurance wouldn't cover the appointment. 1. I asked to see this policy as written, and the front desk told me no. 2. I asked to speak to an office manager, and the front desk told me no. She asked me if I wanted to speak to the other receptionist. I said yes. After being on hold, she did not transfer me to anyone and told me to go to another dental office. 3. I asked them if they could file the claim for me in October, and if insurance wouldn't cover it, I'd be happy to pay out of pocket. They refused to even try to file the insurance claim, stating their "policy" tells them not to. I understand being worried insurance won't cover the appointment, but I'm angry at the fact they wouldn't even try to file the claim without a good reason, especially when I told them I would assume the risk. I also think the front desk was unprofessional in saying she'll let me speak to another receptionist but then turns around and tells me to go to another dental office. I DO NOT recommend this office, especially to my fellow military spouses. Please go anywhere else.

She removed a temp crown i had for about 3 years with no problems and replaced it with a crown that did not completely cover the base of my tooth- my exposed tooth has cavity and i'm not sure it can be saved at this point (have appt w/another dentist). She repaired my chipped front teeth and they look horrible- not to mention one of them has a cavity above the part she replaced where she grinded it down (to adhere to porcelain) because she did not completely cover it with the porcelain. That will also need replaced. And she messed with another tooth w/temp crown and now i have pain there also. What a mess. I had all the work done fairly quickly before I noticed any real damage. Save yourself the headache and find a different provider. Would give zero stars if available.

What a scam. My wife's dentist explains he has 2 cracks in her tooth and either needs a root canal…read moreor the tooth pulled followed by an implant. Markarian charges for the consultation, claims he can save the tooth with a root canal despite the cracks. Not knowing any better we agree to go forward which was another $1,070. The root canal lasted about a week, gets infected because of the cracks and so an oral surgeon had to pull the tooth anyway. Markarian claims he tried to persuade her not to get root canal which is bull. We have no experience in this. He graciously gives $250 back for $1,000 root canal that lasted a week. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
