My reason for first becoming Dr. Wilson's patient was to get a 2nd opinion when my new dentist (at the time) told me I needed to underdo some expensive dental procedures. Dr. Wilson quickly diagnosed the procedures as unnecessary saving me a small fortune. Over the last 20 years, my extended family and I have continued to get our every 6-month teeth cleanings because most of the Cornerstone dental hygienists are top-notch putting in extra effort in removing as much plaque and tartar as possible to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. One of my favorite hygienists is Kerri because she does such an outstanding job each time. While you can't schedule a teeth cleaning with a specific hygienist, I always feel very lucky when I'm one of Kerri's patients. Over the last two years, I've had to have some expensive dental work completed to address two of my lower molars (with fillings) finally becoming brittle and wearing out (after over 5 decades of use). Dr. Wilson and his staff did an outstanding job crowning these molars, and they ended up being a much improved and well-worth-the-investment upgrade. Lastly, my family and I have always been impressed with how well Cornerstone Dental is managed, which includes patient appointment scheduling, high devotion to cleanliness and using modern technologies and best practices, procedure billings, and employee professionalism and friendliness.

Also quoted dental work at a cost of 2 1/2 times the cost I was quoted from a dentist a year earlier. I hope dental cost aren't rising that quickly. I will go anywhere but here. I haven't had any interaction with Dr. Moody, he may be a great dentist but his practice leaves a lot to be desired.

I couldn't afford to pay the full $1,369 upfront for a root canal (even with insurance), so I applied for the Synchrony Bank CareCredit program. I was approved on the spot in the office for more than the procedure cost, and--trusting the front desk staff's recommendation--I went ahead with it. What I didn't realize at the time was that Synchrony automatically enrolls you in "card protection services" through the application. This added an extra $44 a month on top of potential interest charges. I set up the minimum payment on autopay through the app and thought I was fine, but a year later out of the blue I was notified that my credit limit had been lowered--leaving me now over the limit. Because of the recurring charge, my minimum payment no longer even covered the balance, which put me in a really tough situation. While this may not be the fault of the dental staff (I am unsure of the office's relationship with CareCredit) directly, I strongly caution anyone considering CareCredit. I was able to contact CareCredit and get a refund for the card payment services but the damage had been done and no real explanation was given for lowering the credit limit. If you have any other option, I recommend avoiding this program unless it's an absolute emergency.

I was upset that I had the root canal and before I left, I was asked for a $250 co-pay. They were lucky I had it. The lady told me when I called to question it that if I had read the paperwork I signed, I would have seen there was a copay. The "paperwork" was on a tablet and the wifi shut down three time while I was filling it out and had to start from scratch so again, I guess I can say my fault but a simple heads up would have been appreciated. Then I started getting bills for the remainder of the payment which again I had no idea about. The tooth really wasn't that important. I made a payment arrangement and the payments are automatically taken out of my bank monthly. I am still getting demanding statements saying payment due now or face collections and must pay within 30 days to avoid further action. I'm on a payment arrangement!!! What more do you want?? It's just bad customer service. The harassment isnt necessary.

I used Signature Family Dental once. I would have given them 5 stars as the people and work done…read morewas superb. However, they advised me via their text message system, that they "VERIFIED" my dental insurance and that my Copay was $72 (see pic). This was for x-rays, cleaning, and checkup. After paying the copay, I received an additional unplanned follow up bill because they didn't actually verify the cost with the insurance as their text stated. Because they did actually "verify", I am now out an addition cost (see bill pic). I did speak with the staff, and they reduced it by about $40 however the rest could not be resolved, and I am forced to pay. Had they verified and provided the correct cost initially; I would have selected a different Dentist that was in network. If you want good dental care Signature Family Dental is a great choice, just don't trust what they tell your cost will be because they may change it after the fact.
