About a week after a new patient checkup, one of my crowns came off (not one they had put on). I thought I was lucky that they could just glue it back on April 17, 2024 . When I got to the check out they charged me $110 dollars (I was relieved because this beat having to have a new crown or implant by lots of money). Then a few days later I checked my EOB on line and discovered I should have only paid $54. I immediately brought it to their attention, sent them a copy of my EOB and contact them FREQUENTLY for the status of my refund. Today is July 8, 2024, and I just contacted them again, reminding them that I am a senior citizen, and this is financial abuse.

About 7 months or so ago I went in for a cleaning and much to my dismay I was told I had 5 cavities. In the first 30 years of my life I had none, but now I have five. That should have been my first indicator. About a week after my first round of cavities being filled the exact spot of one cavity became extremely sensitive to cold or heat so I go back in. Her explanation, my gum has receded some so that was causing the sensitivity on the top of my tooth in the exact spot she filled my cavity. Right, so she puts something on the exposed part of my tooth to help and within 2 days it had all fallen off. Several weeks later I went in to have the remaining 3 cavities filled, only I was told they were filling 2 cavities. After I paid and was about to walk out the tech come rushing out informing me they hadn't filled one of the cavities and wanted to know if I wanted to come back in and start the process all over again. I think not. So by this point, I've decided that I will never set foot in this place again. Now, a full 6 months after my last treatment I get a bill in the mail saying I have an unpaid balance that is over 90 days due. First, I paid my balance in full after my last appointment so why do I all of a sudden have an unpaid balance. Second, how is this the first letter I got concerning this. This insinuates that I've got at least 2 other letters and have not bothered to pay up. I had thought this place was suspect early on but this was just the straw that broke the camel's back. On Tuesday I'm going to go in on my lunch break, pay my past due balance and walk out of that place and never go back. I hope that if anyone is looking for a dentist reads this and avoids this place like the plague. If you are looking for quality dentistry work and a professional experience, please look elsewhere.

First, she said I had not provided my insurance information. Then she said I had provided the wrong information. I had already provided all of the necessary insurance information, including a copy of the front and back of my medical insurance card. The confusion appeared to be that my medical and dental coverage are administered by different insurance companies, even though they use the same Member ID and Group Number. Once Ashley allowed me to explain the situation, I clarified that the insurance company had already confirmed their protocol: the provider's office simply needs to call the provider services 1-800 number to verify coverage and obtain any needed information. Despite this, Ashley repeatedly refused to make the call and instead told me, "You do it," more than once. Throughout the interaction, Ashley raised her voice, accused me of interrupting her, and shifted blame rather than trying to resolve the issue. She also refused to provide her last name when I requested it. Ashley initially told me the manager was present while we were speaking. However, when I asked to speak with the manager, she then said the manager was in a meeting. These inconsistent statements caused me to question the accuracy of the information I was being given. Ashley also stated that Alex the manager approved of how she handled the situation. Throughout the interaction, I perceived multiple microaggressions and felt I was not treated with professionalism or respect. Patients should not have to argue with staff to have standard insurance verification procedures followed. I hope management reviews this interaction, provides additional customer service training, and ensures staff follow established insurance verification protocols instead of placing the burden on patients when the insurer has instructed the provider's office to make the verification call.

I made an original appointment and found out I had several issues with my mouth. Of which include gingivitis, bleeding gums, plaque, cavities, and spaced gums. After around a year of great treatment including cavity removal/fillings (which Dr. Prane and her team did a great pain free job of removing) I was able to have my gingivitis cleaned and was given perio protect trays. Since this time I have virtually no issues any more and I am so grateful for their team. The new hygienist Kalyne is great too.

To put it succinctly - my son went to Aspen Dental O'Fallon for a chip in his tooth. Three hours…read morelater he came out with an estimate for $4k (with insurance), a tooth cleaning he didn't go in for and pressed to book a follow up polishing which he was told he needed to book and was included in the cleaning (unnecessary/no health benefit and actually costs a further $102, so not actually included). Ultimately they appear to have discussed everything but the tooth he expressly booked the appointment consult to treat. As they said he needed a root canal, to have his wisdom teeth removed and an assortment of other work. All totaling $8k without insurance and $4k with. Reminder he went in for a chipped tooth consult. They then pressed him on booking these procedures, both through them and referrals to other clinics, and signing him up for financing. High pressure sales and the dentist (who came off as more salesman than practitioner in bedside manner) ultimately lost interest when he said he would consider the recommendation for all these additional procedures and didn't "sign here!" We are finding another dentist who actually will provide care and am now unfortunately keeping a keen eye on what they actually file to my insurance to make sure they bill precisely what we have on the itemized statement. He is as well keeping an eye on his bank account. If I could give negative stars I would.

So obviously someone was there at the office they just didn't pick up! This was the most ridiculous and frustrating experience I've ever had with a doctor. I am going somewhere else!
