I've had nothing but good experiences here. Staff is friendly and the office is run efficiently…read more I've never waited for longer than a few minutes in the waiting room and I have been coming here for five years. In my first visit to Dr. Kellerman he took about thirty seconds to correct a life-long cosmetic flaw that I had in one of my front teeth. He did not bill me anything for it nor make a big deal of it, but it greatly improved my smile. It made me wonder why none of my previous dentists had considered it... Highly recommended.

Title: Verbal lies, predatory contract violations, and daily collection harassment…read more If you value your family's peace of mind, stay far away from Kellerman Dental. My daughter went in for a custom mouth guard. Dr. Jesse Snyder left the treatment room to "check with her insurance" and returned explicitly claiming they would pay half. That was a complete lie. The insurance plan ultimately declined the claim due to standard frequency limits. Instead of taking accountability for their false verbal confirmation, this office secretly reverted to a massive $1,000 retail cash price--completely ignoring their binding managed-care contract. Kellerman Dental is an in-network provider with Delta Dental. According to our official Explanation of Benefits (Claim 202620232132000), her network maximum legal responsibility was capped at exactly $371.00. My daughter went above and beyond and paid $425.00 the very next day on March 13 (Transaction ID o50iot1). She completely satisfied her legal obligation on day one. Despite her overpaying, their incompetent billing department completely failed to track her payment and forwarded a fake balance to a collection agency called Capital Accounts. For weeks, this collection agency harassed my daughter, my wife, and myself with daily phone calls. My daughter has no cell reception at her workplace and literally had to take days off work just to deal with this nightmare--which was made nearly impossible because this office completely shuts down on Fridays. When we finally bypassed their reception and forced them to look at our actual credit card transaction statements, the office manager (Katie) casually emailed us admitting it was a "posting error" on their end, that they are canceling the collection, and that they actually owe us a refund because she overpaid. There was absolutely no apology in her email for terrorizing a young patient's credit profile. They didn't even offer to waive a separate $98 office visit fee as a basic goodwill gesture for upending our entire family's lives over their financial incompetence and misleading enrollment tactics. They lack basic operational integrity. Avoid this practice.

I had a root canal and still ended up losing the tooth a few months later. I know this happens…read more They were friendly and its ok. I was upset that I had the root canal and before I left, I was asked for a $250 co-pay. They were lucky I had it. The lady told me when I called to question it that if I had read the paperwork I signed, I would have seen there was a copay. The "paperwork" was on a tablet and the wifi shut down three time while I was filling it out and had to start from scratch so again, I guess I can say my fault but a simple heads up would have been appreciated. Then I started getting bills for the remainder of the payment which again I had no idea about. The tooth really wasn't that important. I made a payment arrangement and the payments are automatically taken out of my bank monthly. I am still getting demanding statements saying payment due now or face collections and must pay within 30 days to avoid further action. I'm on a payment arrangement!!! What more do you want?? It's just bad customer service. The harassment isnt necessary.

I was honestly surprised to see so many negative reviews for the Aspen Dental location in Glen…read moreCarbon after the experience I had. To be fair, most of those reviews are over a year old, but if I had read them before making my appointment, I probably would have gone somewhere else. I'm very glad I didn't. I only visited Aspen because my crown fell out and my regular dentist was on vacation for the week. With upcoming travel plans, I needed to get it fixed immediately, and Aspen was able to get me in the same day. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, and the check-in process was incredibly smooth thanks to their tablet based technology. The office itself was modern, clean, and professional. Compared to my current dentist's office, which is starting to feel a little dated, Aspen's facility felt very up to date. I understand this is a corporate dental practice, but I also have to admit that it may be difficult for smaller independent offices to compete with the technology Aspen has invested in. Every piece of equipment used during my visit seemed advanced and efficient. As someone who appreciates organizations that embrace technology to improve the customer experience, I was genuinely impressed. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and helpful, including the dentist. Maybe they were trying to win me over from my current dentist, but if so, it worked. I've already scheduled my next appointment and plan to give Aspen a real chance as my regular dental provider. Another pleasant surprise was the cost. My crown replacement was less than $30 out of pocket, and the treatment plan and pricing for my next appointment appeared normal and transparent. Based on my first visit, I couldn't be happier with the experience. I'm looking forward to my next appointment and will gladly update my review if my future visits are anything less than the excellent service I received today. For now, Aspen Dental in Glen Carbon has definitely earned my recommendation.

March 28, 2025, I went to Aspen Dental in Glen Carbon, IL for routine dental work following a…read moreconsultation a few days earlier. I was advised to undergo periodontal treatment and a tooth extraction, which I approved ahead of my Friday appointment. After being taken back, I was given numbing injections to prepare for the periodontal procedure. However, I was then left alone in the chair for over 45 minutes with no one checking on me. Knowing the office closes early on Fridays, I became concerned as time kept passing. Eventually, a technician came in and completed what was supposed to be a full periodontal treatment in about 15 minutes for all four quadrants. I've had this procedure done multiple times before, and it has always taken well over an hour. When she began finishing up, I asked if the treatment was complete, and she said yes. I also asked about polishing, and she told me it wasn't included. At that point, I could hear staff rushing around. When I asked what time they closed, I was told they were closing in 10 minutes--which explained why the procedure felt rushed, especially after I had already been left waiting for so long. I was also supposed to have an extraction done that day. A few days later, I called the office to report that my teeth still felt like there was debris left behind from the "treatment." I was scheduled to come back in, and after new X-rays were taken, it was clear that significant areas had been missed and needed to be redone. I spoke with the office manager and expressed my dissatisfaction with the poor quality of care, especially given the high cost. We agreed that I would be refunded all out-of-pocket expenses, and only the periodontal treatment would be billed to insurance, with all other services (extraction, flipper, etc.) refunded. I saw refunds issued back to my credit card, so I assumed everything--including the insurance refund--had been handled. However, when I went to another dentist recently, I found out Aspen Dental never refunded the insurance company as promised. I called to speak with the office manager, but was told she had just joined a conference call. The person I spoke with immediately became defensive and claimed they could not issue refunds for services already rendered. She also stated she was not present when the original agreement was made. This entire experience has been frustrating and unprofessional--from rushed and incomplete treatment to poor follow-through and lack of accountability. I strongly recommend thinking twice before agreeing to services at this practice.

The dental procedure itself was fine, nothing remarkable. Parking was easy, and while the staff was…read morepolite enough, the real issues began once it came to billing and payments. I couldn't afford to pay the full $1,369 upfront for a root canal (even with insurance), so I applied for the Synchrony Bank CareCredit program. I was approved on the spot in the office for more than the procedure cost, and--trusting the front desk staff's recommendation--I went ahead with it. What I didn't realize at the time was that Synchrony automatically enrolls you in "card protection services" through the application. This added an extra $44 a month on top of potential interest charges. I set up the minimum payment on autopay through the app and thought I was fine, but a year later out of the blue I was notified that my credit limit had been lowered--leaving me now over the limit. Because of the recurring charge, my minimum payment no longer even covered the balance, which put me in a really tough situation. While this may not be the fault of the dental staff (I am unsure of the office's relationship with CareCredit) directly, I strongly caution anyone considering CareCredit. I was able to contact CareCredit and get a refund for the card payment services but the damage had been done and no real explanation was given for lowering the credit limit. If you have any other option, I recommend avoiding this program unless it's an absolute emergency.
