First time I've ever felt like I needed to actually review an establishment on Yelp. Every time I come to this place it's moderately busy, but nothing that shouldn't be handled by a decent staff with ease. The bartenders seem like they aren't interested in being there. It takes way longer than it should to get a drink. Trust me as someone who has worked in this industry a long time I am not just some impatient a-hole. Just don't appreciate feeling ignored. Haven't been in years for these reasons and probably won't be back anytime soon. Hopefully this review can help this establishment improve its customer service. read more

Keller Tavern used to be a fun hangout! However as of late the food has gone down hill, they never have all ingredients for what we order... and lately the service is completely lacking!! The managerial staff is rude...especially the guys who work the bar area..will not name names but there are only two! The chef must have changed as well, as the homemade salsa used to be the bomb, but now tastes like jar salsa. I have heard the manager mention to customers he doesn't want to try to go up against another area bar but they really need to try to better themselves to keep any kind of business. They are wanting to open a restaurant next door, maybe they should try to keep the Tavern up before trying to open a new venture! The regulars have all gone to other places and we will soon follow!!!! read more

I have been to this place a few times but last night forced me to write a review. The NBA Finals were on the TVs and there was a lively crowd interested in the game which was great. The only downfall was there was a one of the most obnoxious people I've ever heard in my life at the end of the bar screaming obscenities one after another for the entire time I was there (about 2 hours). The best part is someone said this woman is one of the employees of the Keller Tavern. She was rude, foul and disrespectful to all of the patrons with her screaming gutter mouth. I'm no prude to having fun/bar scene behavior but this was way over the top. I'd probably recommend this place on any other night except when this employee is acting like an un-caged wild animal. read more

Went to this location 2 Saturdays ago for my boyfriends birthday hoping to have a good time, unfortunately didn't happen. We walked in the bar area and sat at a round table, close to the bar. We were approached by a blonde girl w/ med length hair who took our order, did not start a tab, ask our names, nothing. She got our drinks wrong for the first time and didnt apologize. Okay, it happens, thats fine ..So we decided to move outside and my brother stood at the bar trying to get the servers attention for a solid 5-10 min but she never bothered to turn around. Then once outside a very nice curly haired server approached us to see if we needed refills and after explaining the situation, she wanted us to keep the tab we had open with the first server. Which I totally understand if she actually paid any attention to us! After getting the blonde server to finally come over, she acted as if she had never seen us in her life, didnt have records of our tab, threw a huge fit that we went outside and she told us over and over "we weren't supposed to do that" She also was acting inebriated.. not sure if she was drinking herself. She refused to write down our order after we even nicely suggested that she should, said over and over "No, I got it!", and STILL got our orders wrong and rang up my boyfriends well shot as a Bacardi. So thanks for almost ruining my boyfriends birthday night. Only gave 2 stars because the curly haired server was very sweet. I only wish we stayed with that server. read more

Writing this review because the bartender threatened my friends and me to do so. Being a Monday night, the place wasn't busy at all, but speed of service must be a thing that doesn't exist here. We ordered our drinks, but the girl behind the bar couldn't make them and told us that the bartender would be with us shortly (because she was outside, sitting down with another party). After moving from the bar to a table, the first girl took our drink orders and went ahead and made my friends' whiskeys and cokes (minus the coke though) and the bartender coming in and making my old fashioned. I had also ordered fries and saw them come out from the kitchen, but they never made it to my table. After waiting for awhile, I got up myself and picked them up. No apologies or notice from the servers. We decided to leave after our drinks and went to the counter, but we had to wait 3-4 minutes while the bartender chatted with two patrons. Mind you, it was not busy and printing out our receipts should not have been a problem. My friend made a comment, asking "Should we just leave?" which prompted the bartender to get exceedingly angry with my friend. All we wanted to do at that point was leave, but she kept arguing with my friend, pointing out how young he looked, how he's being an a**hole, and that if we make a yelp review, she would laugh at it. Before leaving, she also said that she would remember our faces, emphasizing that we aren't allowed here anymore, which won't bother us one bit. read more

Came here and tried to order drinks for me and my friend for his birthday. After waiting 10 mins for any service I got called "dead weight" by the bar tender and claimed I was being rude just because I was simply ordering drinks. I'm going to make a prediction right now. Keller Tavern will not be in business a year from now. I've been many times and I've seen the downhill trend. The good bartenders have left for greener pastures. I was there last week and BOTH bartenders spent more time with their backs to the bar checking their cell phones than they did paying attention to customers. Beer selection is pretty good compared to other bars on 377, but there are places that do better. The music sucked (probably the bartenders choice) and did not fit in with the crowd that was present. Not sure I'll ever go back. read more

The reviews on here are right about the service. The wait/bartender staff is unfriendly and it almost seemed like they were truly inconvenienced if you asked for anything. I'm not sure who trains them but they are doing a terrible job. Seemed like a bunch of power-happy hipsters that take their jobs too seriously and deems their customers as "not cool enough" to be treated well. The kind of wait staff you feel like as soon as they get off they bitch and moan about you for ordering a lime instead of a lemon, you know what I mean? We were given en "eye roll" after our waiter took over in to come so we thought we had to order drinks at the bar. Then, after waiting 10min my husband was talked to like he was some kind of idiot when we asked for our checks because he was "standing in the wrong spot" to do so and after he moved to the "correct area" at the bar to ask for his check had to wait another 5min. He was completely ignored on purpose. After all that they gave our credit card to someone else! Thank goodness the customers with our cc were honest people. Slow & rude service. Nice outdoor ambiance, hence the two stars. Has the potential to be a great spot. read more

The name is quite misleading to say the least. This is not a Tavern at all... it's a bar. True Taverns across the global have a different feel to them. People go to taverns for the atmosphere. Taverns are dimly lit, lots of rustic and dark wood, great beer selections on draught. This place has none of those qualities. There is a marble bar, bright lighting, and a glass front door! Really? A glass door for a tavern? Come on people. The beer selection was poor at best. They call themselves a "tavern" yet they don't have any English or Irish beers on tap. Do you think I want to drink Guinness from a can? Absurd! But hey, if you like tasteless beers (Bud Light, Coors Light, etc.) this might be the place for you. They only have 6 tap handles so if you don't like variety it would be perfect! If you like good beer and a comfy feeling tavern feeling this isn't your place. So disappointed. read more

This place is still as awful as it was the last time I went there, due to the service of the bartenders. My husband and I went last night and the visit started out fine. Then we ordered an appetizer which they were out of, so the girl bartender recommended something that resembled jalapeño poppers. Food came out and it was fried cream corn. We wanted to send it back since the order was wrong and the guy bartender was visibly annoyed that we didn't eat it and claimed he would have to pay for it. Didn't apologize for the order being wrong or offer to get us something else, and was downright rude about the whole situation. The way he handled it was uncalled for and could have been an easy fix, but he ruined our experience by being a complete jackass. He continued to ignore us until my husband got agitated and wanted to close out our tab. We've never been treated so poorly at an establishment and will never be back. Confused as to why it's so difficult for the managers of this establishment to find decent bartenders that know how to be polite to people. read more

Came home from college break and met up here with some old friends to catch up and hangout. One of the bartenders (Stephanie) abruptly kicked my companion out after falsely accusing him of talking about her after she walked away. Trying to help the situation, I attempted to clarify with another worker that there was a misunderstanding and assure that nothing derogative was said. My friendly gesture was quickly greeted with hostility as the original bartender yelled at my friends and I for supposedly not tipping all night. I'm going to emphasize that everyone in my group acted like adults that night and provided a consistent gratuity. I've never felt so exploited and wrongly accused by a community establishment in my entire life. My high expectations of this tavern are diminished and I will not return with my business. I'm thoroughly disappointed and advise my Keller patrons to stay away from this bar at all costs. read more

i walk in to the texas blue restaurant after the customers at keller tavern have sat on the blues patio and it looks like a dumb. the customers a slobs and the management does nothing to prevent it or even bother to clean it up. i have complained 3 different times and they have just ignored it. get you act together, there are customers at blue that are sick of it. read more
