I had to leave our patio table more than four times to track down our waitress inside the restaurant, first for silverware, twice for drink orders, then appetizers, and finally our birthday cake the day manager had offered to keep in the cooler. And reading previous reviews and seeing the management always reverts blame back on the customer by asking if they addressed their concerns immediately with the manager - NO, I didn't track down the manager. I'd already spent most of my evening trying to find our waitress and trying to salvage what was left of our family celebration. And that being said - where was your manager? Why was he/she not checking on us? The previous day, the manager had been so nice and accommodating when I made the reservation, I had high hopes for an exceptional experience. Instead, I was embarrassed that I'd chosen J Renders for our family celebration. Very disappointing. I can't see us returning.

I got the frog legs. My wife got the standard menu cheeseburger. Both as delicious as the fish platter, the open faced roast beef, and every other thing I've gotten here. We were fortunate to be one of the tables that Rachel and Jake were working with tonight- Rachel was training but never missed a step and honestly, was a DELIGHT to spend the evening with. :) She was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She was not "pushy" and gave us plenty of time to just enjoy each course of our meal without being interrupted with ordering the next step.
