This is the Track Kitchen if you're a race fan this is where you may run into your favorite trainer. This is breakfast for the the workers right off the track The groomers, trainers, ect.. the barns are right out the doors. It's open to the public and the breakfast is cheap and good. It's kind of cafeteria style. Everyone was super friendly and the biscuits and gravy very good. Pancakes looked amazing. It was really cool, nothing fancy, but a must. Highly recommend just to say you ate here for one, for two it's good food.

Great spot for breakfast in Lexington. Reminds me of a school cafeteria but the food is great! Check online for their seasonal hours. Go to the front of the cafeteria style buffet line and order. You will get a ticket and pay at the cash register. There is a breakfast special with all the fixings. Or you can order a specialty item and they will make it in the back for you/yell your number when ready. Really enjoyed the French toast & the bacon, egg, & cheese burrito. Meals are roughly $5-$7 with so much food!

What's not to love especially when your friends horse wins! Living in KY some of the best entertainment is horse racing. Hung out in the bluegrass room. Great service from Nate. Incredible view and delicious drinks!

Went to the Track Kitchen on Saturday morning while the heavens had opened up and it was raining cats n dogs. It was just the right place to be due to Keeneland's lush greenery. It's a basic cafeteria style outfit... don't expect too much. Ample space to sit.. very old furniture but stable enough to balance. Set menu. We ordered the following: - Egg n cheese sandwich on white: 3/5 - Pancakes (half stack = 2): 2.5/5 (they were too thick n dense which my friends seemed to enjoy but I did not, though I did like the crispy top) - Gravy n biscuits: 2.5/5 (pretty basic) - Bacon: 2/5 (my friend said it wasn't crispy enough) - Coffee: 1/5 - Cappuccino: 0.5/5 So the food was so-so... not bad.. it was "hearty" and "filling", which is what you'd expect from that sort of an establishment. But i must say it was economical! All of the above came under $15!! Would I go there again? Probably not. Would I take out-of-town folks there for an "experience"? Probably.

Over easy eggs bacon and amazing biscuits.

What an amazing little hidden spot. I'm hesitant to post because more people will find it lol. There was no waiting just a small cafe style place where stable workers head to breakfast or lunch. We had breakfast there the first time and I just had to make another day to breakfast there. Food is amazing! Everything taste fresh and tasty. And the price?!?! You just can't beat it!!! When in Kentucky; GO!!

While vacationing in Frankfort, my brother suggested we head over to Keeneland Track Kitchen. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm always game for new things so I was surprised to find an incredibly beautiful track and literally a track kitchen where the jockeys eat. I got the breakfast special for $6.50 that consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, a delicious biscuit and gravy, fried potatoes and coffee. It was huge. And, $6.50!! We were amazed at all of the trailers and horses, but soon found out we had come at a very busy time: Keeneland's November Breeding Stock Sale, a prestigious auction of highly prized broodmares, prospects and royally-bred weanlings. Fancy company. What a cool experience and fantastic breakfast on the cheap.

We visited the Keeneland Track Kitchen for breakfast this morning. We had the breakfast special for $6.50 which was a excellent price for the large portion of food that was served. The breakfast included eggs, three slices of bacon, biscuit with gravy and a large portion of fried potatoes. This was a excellent choice for breakfast that was delicious.

If you're lucky enough to catch a day when fried chicken is the lunch special, get it. Any two pieces you want with two sides and a roll. I had hoped for mashed potatoes, but they were roasted, and the green beans had almonds. I took the order to go. For me, it's two meals. If you sign up on the Track Kitchen FB page, you can keep up with the daily specials. 104

It's a track kitchen so not intended to be haute cuisine, but according to one of the workout jockeys that we met this is the 2nd Best Track Kitchen in the country! Cafeteria style ordering and the typical breakfast foods were good. Scrambled eggs appeared to be from a mix so I'll order fried eggs next time and accept the wait in line that will follow. The staff were all pleasant and friendly. If you're a Thoroughbred Racing fan it is a fun way to mingle with jockeys, owners, stable hands, and locals before or after watching the horses' morning workouts.

Breakfast special with country ham

It appears like any cafeteria, however the food quality is right up there with the nicest private dining rooms of keeneland during racing season, because it's the same chef and staff. That being said, the prices are below what you would pay at waffle house. We ordered a breakfast special with traditional country ham, 2 eggs over easy, biscuits and gravy, and fried potatoes for $10. A massive breakfast burrito with eggs cheese peppers and onions with bacon or sausage which would cost $13-$15 at any other restaurant in town costs $4.50 at the Track Kitchen. They have floor to ceiling windows so you can see some trees on one side or the barns on the other side. It's truly a hidden gem.

This is a very casual place to eat but food is good and it's fascinating to eat here as owners and lots of horse people eat here.

expected so much better. I looked at the food, decided not to order, got a cup of mediocre weak coffee, overpriced at that, and left.

My fiance and I were looking for somewhere different to eat. We live out of town and don't often…read moremake it to downtown Lexington. We had reservations but ended up getting there early and just had our dinner at the bar. We both had cocktails which we enjoyed along with the deviled eggs for an appetizer. The eggs were okay--a bit spicier than I would have preferred and I would probably try a different app next time I go (there will be a next time for sure!) My shrimp and grits were great but honestly the bourbon glazed wings that my fiance had were the show stoppers. Large sized wings that were smoked perfectly with the right amount of crunch topped with a sweet but not too sweet bourbon glaze. I will definitely get those next time I go. The vibes were casual and chill--the perfect place to pre-game before a game or event or the perfect place to meet friends for a drink. I'd definitely recommend!

The fried duck rangoon is a delicious option (unless you just don't like cream cheese), but the fattiness carries the sauce so well. Also, tacos are always a good option - Taco Tuesday specials are so worth it. Lots of service options (to go, at the bar, sit down service). You can even get a delivery to Beer Trappe! Everyone has been super nice every time we've gone and very helpful even with silly questions. It can get kinda loud, especially on event nights, but outdoor seating is great when the weather is nice!

We stopped in to get coffee again. My friend got a regular coffee and two glazed donuts. I got the…read moreiced vanilla bean latte and the caramel turtle donut. I must admit when I saw the size of her donuts I laughed because they were so big. Long story short what she got was a cronut not the traditional cake donut. Previously I've had the raspberry filled donut there and it was really good. The caramel turtle is also a cronut. She asked what kind of dough it was my guess was brioche because of the texture. I could be wrong. I liked my donut although it was a little messy to eat . My friend on the other hand didn't care for the cronut. The coffee though is always on point and it didn't disappoint. As for customer service they really are on point. I've been there a total of three times so far and every time they've been friendly and patient. Plenty of seating indoors and on the patio. I think after 1 pm they do donuts made to order (I didn't see the sign when we first walked in until after we placed our order). I just thought they sold out but the woman at the counter told me they do made to order.

One word, Dangerous…read more Parlour Donuts has officially ruined my self-control in the best way possible. These donuts aren't just good, they're dangerously good. The kind where you fully intend to order one... and somehow walk out with two. Or three. The layers are perfectly flaky, the flavors works well well together, and every bite feels like it was engineered to make you say "okay, just one more." Fair warning to anyone with even a shred of restraint: you will lose it the moment you take your first bite.
