Shave ice with more than 20 flavors and you help yourself. How cool. Kids swimming. Raffle winners being announced. I think they have a concert once a month on Friday nights. Look for the flyer or Google it. Summer series. Plenty of picnic tables, playground, and restroom. Bring your chairs and find your spot. Dance the night away.

This made for good bird cover, but not a scenic walk. The trail on the uphill portion of the park was obscured by scotch broom, and poorly maintained. Pigs had massively impacted whatever beauty remained. I did not feel safe bushwacking here. There are a couple benches that could be used for picnicking closer to the parking lot; one had a view toward the lake & Konocti.

I've never been in here where they were less than enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Wanna go horseback riding? Glider flying? Wine tasting? Bicycling? Boating? Got kids? Gambling? Whatever just ask them and they know all the local hot spots for whatever type of recreational experience you want to have. In fact, if you're a visitor to the area and you don't visit them you're really missing out.
