I am posting on behalf of my condominium on Ocean Parkway in the Kensington area of Brooklyn, NY…read more We hired Shark Painters to paint the the lobby and hallways of our building. They did an expert job. Not only wrre they fast and efficient, but they addressed all our follow up requests for touch ups. We chose the colors and the paint finishes, they purchased the paint. They price was competitive and reasonable. We did make the mistake of not asking them to do any resurfacing or skim coating before the paint job, which would have remedied the slight imperfections in the walls. This was our mistake, and although it would have increased the cost of the job, in our case, as a new construction building it did not make a tremendous difference. However, next time we will know to ask for this when getting an estimate -- although their paint job should last us at least 7-10 years before we need to consider a new coat of paint.

I went with Tuff Chicks Painting because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews, and I have to say…read morethat after getting my room painted, the reviews are overwhelmingly positive for a reason. First off, the room looks amazing. Totally spot on, better than I could have ever dreamed. It made me realize that I don't ever want to waste my time personally trying to paint a room when I can hire the pros at Tuff Chicks, who can do it in a fraction of the time and do such a damn fine job at it. And timing-wise, they were super quick: they had a pretty big room to paint with lots of trim detail, but they were still in and out and left my place looking spotless after I'd say only 5-6 hours. I don't know market pricing but I feel that it was fair and affordable, and worth every penny. And not only were they professional and timely, Tanisha and her team were super friendly, funny, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. I didn't mind hanging out while they were painting to shoot the shit a little bit and they seemed to enjoy the extra company. From the very beginning when Tanisha came out to give a quote, she was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and confident about her suggestions and advice. Ultimately I went with her advice and I am glad I did. The only issue I had was I believe Tanisha got confused about the size of my room and may have purchased too much paint, thinking it was a larger area I had wanted painted than what was discussed. However, I think they still deserve all five stars and this did not bother me much, since I understand they seem to be a growing and very busy business, so these things happen. All in all I'm really thrilled and I almost want to have them back to paint more rooms even if the rooms don't need a paint job, just for the hell of it. But in any case, I will be thinking of them anytime in the future when I need a room or house painted.

Desiree and her team painted three rooms in my old apartment and two rooms here, and both times it was a top notch experience. They're professional, detail oriented, and enjoyable to work with. I will definitely use them again when I move again in the future!

He replied to our initial inquiry for an estimate within a few hours, and scheduled a walk through the next day. When he walked into our apartment, he immediately started sharing his thoughts on the approach he would take. No detail was left undiscussed and it was a very thoughtful assessment with an honest and competitive estimate. He was clearly passionate about the project and he made us feel very comfortable from the beginning to the end of the process, which was a little over a week including the estimate and scheduling three days for prep work, painting and clean up. We met him on the final day of the project and he walked us through our apartment pointing out all the details, it looked great. He even pointed out a non painting related item he noticed and recommended that we should address to keep the apartment free of potential future damage, further indicating to us that he truly cares about helping his customers make their homes beautiful and keeping them safe. We appreciated Will's professional approach and confidently recommend him his team!

Do not be deceived by Will's insistence that he is extremely detail oriented. He does not follow through on half of what you discuss. More importantly, he does not keep his word. After assuring me he was on our side and would help pursue a refund, he went completely dark, just like the flooring company. He also was a no show on his follow up "touch up day" and went radio silent thereafter.
