I do have to say the 1st year in the Rade department everything was great, until we got a new manager and things went downhill from their. The rade department has lost 11 employees within a couple of years that I was working their due to management lack of communication, retaliation against staff is unbelievable. Few employees from the Rade department have gone to HR concerning issues with the management and yet nothing has been done. None of the management's in the Rade they don't follow the SOP Guidelines as they should. If anyone confront them about any issues that they they will retaliate against by failing you quality (monthly evaluation) claiming that your not able to perform your job. The Rade manager doesn't have her employees back. It seems that honestly does not exist in that department. Do your research and know what your getting yourself into.

I like this spot. It is large, clean, and parking is plentiful. The people are friendly and my appointments are timely. If I ever have to wait, it is not long. I see a lot of the same people here and can grab some butter butters after I am done. (Seriously I just do it for the cookies). I will occasionally go to a different location just for convenience with my schedule or location, but this is my main...stop. Always in and out in under an hour. Come hydrated!

First of all, I highly recommend setting an appointment ahead of time (as soon as possible since slots fill up pretty fast). My first visit took over an hour and a half without an appointment (Flower Mound location), while my second (scheduled) visit only took about 20-25 minutes (Hurst location at the hospital). You can also check in online if you schedule an appointment. If you have to do any testing multiple times I recommend creating an account if you want to save some time. Most of the time spent here is in the waiting room. The process itself goes pretty quickly.

When I originally called to ask some general questions about what exactly a doula does, she was kind, patient, and so freaking educated about the process of childbirth. We were offered a tour of Baylor hospital (virtual due to COVID), newborn classes, and tons of educational resources after booking with NDDA. What stood out to me most was the fact that the all female team there just made you feel like you were so seen, every step of the way. As a Black woman, childbirth can be an extremely scary experience, just look up the statistics of mistreatment in the healthcare space for minorities. Melissa and team advocated for my husband and I. My primary reason too for picking this place was the fact they offer a beautiful placenta art print. I wanted to honor my placenta because it's such an incredible and powerful organ, and I'm obsessed with the art prints. They're both framed and are hanging up in my daughters' room. I've worked with Meredith L. and Madison Prez for the placenta encapsulation. They were both very easy to contact and responded promptly over text. I worked with Madison most recently, and she picked up the placenta and quickly processed it and delivered it to my home. I got placenta pills, a tincture, the keepsake cord, and the art print. I love the packaging and branding too- very alice in wonderland. I highly recommend this service and would work with Madison again. The art print she made was stunning!

Dr. Roopa gets 5 stars, unfortunately, her medical assistant (or nurse or whoever), Amanda, and I…read morenever fit well, and I had to request not to see her ever again. Amanda made everything about herself, and I had to sit there and listen to her tell me about her own journey over and over at each visit. She constantly talked over me, one-upped me, and continued to make every appointment about herself to the point my husband said something to me about it when I didn't even bring it up to him...he never notices anything, so I was shocked. I never felt heard, and though I have no doubt she knew what she was doing, Dr. Roopa listens and says that I know my body, and would adjust accordingly and it always worked. Amanda would always tell me what worked for her, and didn't listen when I told her I knew my own body, and her methods for herself were not working for me, even though I tried them. She did give good advice, but it wasn't advice I needed at the visits. I haven't had issues with the front office staff or the nurses/techs. My BIGGEST complaint besides Amanda, is the fact I cannot see Dr. Roopa every visit. I hate going back and forth between her and the medical assistant. I have no issue with the current MA I see, but I don't like not seeing the same doctor every time. When I explained this to the front, they told me it isn't possible to see only Dr. Roopa. I've never had a practice like that before, and I already have medical anxiety as it is. and seeing different people triggers it badly. I explained this to the front and they wouldn't accommodate me. I don't know if they're rotating their staff, but there seems to be different people each time I visit. I don't care about that, I just want the level of customer service to be consistent and to continue to improve. I adore my care team, they're always pleasant and when something is needed in between my visits, they are very punctual when completing the requests. Keep it up!
