I have been coming to MacArthur OB/GYN for over a year and have no complaints. Dr. Arguello has been amazing especially now that I am expecting my first child. I love that the portal allows for easy communication; whether I have a question about symptoms or a previous appointment, it's an easy way to reach out. Also, having two locations has helped because I accidentally scheduled an appointment at the wrong location and they were still able to see me that day. Highly recommend! read more

Expect at least a two &a half hour wait, in addition to unnecessary attitude from the receptionist. Noticed two pregnant ladies get up and walk out due to the excessive wait before I gave up and left myself. Rescheduled for another day and when I arrived I was told with extreme attitude from the receptionist that I was unable to complete my appt since the dr was not in. After losing my baby two months ago at 38 weeks and giving this place another chance, I am in deep regret. They do not take your concerns seriously and medical malpractice seems to be the norm. read more

I made sure I went here with both of my pregnancies, MacArtuer is the best I believe for women's care. Everyone there is so nice in the office area and everyone listens and hears ur concerns that you have. I had Dr.Wang this time around and I have had the best experience with him as my OB. I've never had a doctor so nice and one that actually listens to ur concerns. It was the best decision to switch back to them with my second pregnancy, I definitely recommend him!!! Also they check on the baby almost every visit so it puts ur pregnancy brain at peace read more

I'm appalled by the treatment my mother received at facility, being a patient for over a decade and was dismissed and received a passive aggressive behavior all due to language barrier. As much as this facility has grown through out the years you would expect patients to have the support of bilingual reps or at-least their front desk staff show the interest in assisting a patient . Being told their appointment has to be rescheduled for the second time due them not understanding or having the device knowledge to fill out or update their paper work is very disappointing and discouraging! It takes over an hour to even get a rep on the phone to make an appointment and to arrive to an appointment and be told you can't be seen due to a simple misguidance .. Especially when as a patient we choose the facility through our private insurance not a government plan . read more

Setup an appointment with MacArthur hoping to be assigned to the closer location but I was given this one instead. My appointment was for removal/reinsertion of Nexplanon. When I was placed in the room and the girl came in she said they were going to begin setting up for IUD removal/reinsertion. As soon as I told her no you're not... she left and sent the doctor in to tell me they couldn't do a damn thing because they did not have implants. Dr said it would be 6 weeks for them to order and receive my implant. This was March 8th. Today is May 26th and I have yet to even receive a call or any communication from them. But that $50 consult bill to waste my time, definitely received that in the mail ASAP. read more

So today was my first time meeting him, it wasn't under pleasant circumstances but he has taken such great care of me. I went to this office 2wks ago to discuss PCOS and get my annual done. Dr Pham told me I should do an info release from my PCP. I did that before leaving the office. A week later, I called to see what the results of my annual was as well as see if they received anything from my PCP. I was told my papsmear was normal (no info on STD test) and that PCOS would be discussed at my follow up. I arrived for my 10:30 follow up at 10:20. I waited 30mins in the lobby, got my vitals taken and sat for 30 mins in a room. At 11:25, I walked out the room because I had things to do besides wait an hour to be seen. The doctor said she was just about to come in. We went back into the office, she then asked had my PCP given me any records because they don't have them. I said no, I did the release form for them to request them, no one told me nothing was received. She then decided to talk to me for 5mins about the same thing discussed as last time. She then said give her a second to look at my STD results from my last visit. A minute later she came back and said they can't find the results. She said I can do another STD test. I told her no. I left. I will be appealing the claim from this visit since nothing was accomplished. Waste of time and horrible service. read more

I went in to get my first sonogram done and got no information on the baby what's so ever. You get no information from the doctors beside yes it has a good heartbeat. They didn't tell me a due date or anything. With my first pregnancy i got a due date, conception date, and plenty of more information. I honestly love the office staff & the drs here. Their front staff is fast and efficient. They give me direct help in what I need and they give me the run around! Whatever you do, DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTORS OFFICE! Short Version: I had a wait time of over 3 hours to even SEE a doctor, they constantly try to pawn off nurse practitioners, and they WILL NOT issue me a refund. Long version: I had an appointment there a little over a year and a half ago. Instead of seeing a doctor they asked if I would be okay seeing a nurse practitioner, I really needed to be seen so I just saw her. She was perfectly fine but not a doctor. I went in for an exam at a later date and I had some serious problems developing that I wanted to discuss. I waited over 3 hours for a doctor. Multiple times they offered a NP but I always refused, I needed to see a doctor. I expressed my irritation with the receptionist but she kept saying "well you could have been seen but you chose not to be" That is not what happened! I scheduled a doctors appointment, I needed a doctor. After 3 hours I finally saw Dr. Gray. She was fine. Genuinely seemed sympathetic to my issues. I began routinely seeing Dr. Gray for my issues. And I really started to like her. Saw her for about a year with little to no issues. I had to schedule a surgery. Dr. Gray was going to be the surgeon. Surgery was during the covid pandemic, I work an essential service that requires me to travel. I was always honest about my job and the travel it required. The DAY before the surgery, the surgery center called and cancelled my surgery because of my job. I NEVER heard a word from Dr. Gray. She never called me and explained or apologized. Nothing. And for that I will NEVER see her again. My doctor should have looked out for me and mine didn't care at all. Before surgery I paid a $94 doctor fee of some sort. After surgery was cancelled I called to have that fee refunded. Surgery was scheduled for August 5. Was told it would be mailed at the end of August. I called MELISSA GONZALES every day starting September 3rd about getting my refund. She never once called me back. I resorted to called the office to schedule an appointment just to get a person to hopefully connect me to someone else. On September 11 I finally spoke to another human who works in billing and she figured out my refund for me. MELISSA GONZALES should be fired. She is horrible at her job. I hate this doctor office. I hate the people that work there. This entire place should be shut down. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I guess it's time for me to share this. It's long, but I don't know what else to do. Especially during this trying time. My doctor made me pre-pay my delivery. November 23, 2019 I had my son. My doctor at the time knew I was there when I got to the hospital. She told me to go into the room and she'll be there shortly. A nurse comes in and tells me the doc left. Ok..? No big deal, that's the least of my worries. Fast forward to February. I realize I have yet to receive my refund. (Since the doc didn't deliver me) they said it will be at the end of the month. March- still nothing. I call they said they sent it to claims. I lose my job March 15. Still nothing. I blow up their phones trying to get ahold of someone and nobody can help me. APRIL comes along still nothing. May comes and I finally had enough. I am getting a lawyer. It's now June 19th and they stopped communicating all together with me and the lawyer. Maybe if I publicize my experiences nobody else will get screwed out of money paid for delivery twice. Once to the real doctor who delivered me and once to scam artists who have done this before to other first time moms. As for the service, I don't know where all these happy reviews are coming from. The only real amazing review I would give is to Dr. Freeman, who is no longer with them, and the awesome sono tech at the grapevine location. Like wow. I understand stuff happens but please be advised THEY DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS!!!! I have been waiting for 7 MONTHS for mine. read more

Sooo pros and cons Pro: love how they have bloodwork & ultrasound in the same building and literally is 10 steps away. The woman that checks you in is super nice but not sure about the others. The place is very clean and easy to find. Negative: seeing YOUR provider might not happen. You are treated like a number more than a patient. I have had midwives with both of my other births but have not experienced this kind of medicalized care before. At term with over 11 appointments here I can't even say what my midwife looks like because of the many different providers I've seen. read more

The doctors themselves are good but the rest of the medical staff is not. I've tried ordering the implant multiple times and everytime it never arrived and I never heard back about it. My appointment was also cancelled due to a doctor I was not even seeing being out of office and the soonest time they had for me was past the 3 month window i have to get my birth control shot. I'll start off by saying that Dr. Andrea Arguello was friendly and did her job well. However the clinic it self is always extremely busy and the parking lot is always packed. I went in to pick up my medical records and had to wait an entire week to receive them. I've been here multiple times because I had an IUD inserted. I initially wanted the Nexplanon but they had to order it and after speaking to Dr. Arguello she recommended the IUD. The IUD is not working for me and I will now be having it removed else where and have the Nexplanon inserted. read more

Do not come here if you're pregnant unless you are 100% sure that nothing will go wrong in your pregnancy. I had no issues with the place until I had a miscarriage. After I had my D and C, anytime I went into the office it was like I wasn't as important to them. Mind you I was going in for a follow-up to the procedure I had done which was unsuccessful. The wait time at one appointment was over an hour and a half and when they finally got me back to see the doctor they forgot me in the room. I ended up leaving at 5:00 pm from my 2:30 pm appointment. Aside from the long wait times, they do not care to check in with you when you message them on the portal stating that you feel something is wrong. You know your body best but they'll minimize any complaint or issue you bring up and say "it's normal." "Don't worry about it." "We don't treat the flu." --that one was the worse considering I had an infection from leftover tissue from the D and C but they didn't want to deal with it. This was my first pregnancy and I unfortunately miscarried. That in itself has been difficult but this practice has made this experience SO much worse than it needs to be. read more

What a nightmare! Scheduled appointments for myself and my 18 year old daughter (for her first visit ever) over 2 weeks in advance. When the day of our appointment came I was called and informed the doctor would not be available due to being delayed at the hospital. Big disappointment - but understandable. I sure wish I had taken that phone call as a bad omen. Because what transpired was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT all the way around. We did not receive a warm welcome - we waited too long - we were not given clear explanation of services - we did not receive the care we intended to receive. Maybe my expectations were too high but it was a total waste of time and money (and most likely insurance benefits). read more

I understand closing for inclement weather - I think it's the smart thing to protect employees and patients. What I don't understand is sending automated voicemails less than 24 hours before an appointment, telling me to call to reschedule, then closing your phone lines less than five minutes after calling me, particularly when I had to wait three weeks for this appointment. It's 2022, we know how to forward calls and handle remote administrative work. read more

I can't speak to the actually on site experiences but if it is anything like trying to confirm your appointment or get any sort of accurate information, it won't go well. I called twice last week to find out when my appointment was and was told both times I would get an email confirming my day, time, and have paperwork to fill out ahead of time. After not receiving anything after a few days I called again, confirmed my email and was told the same thing. Still nothing. Today I called AGAIN to find out my appointment was yesterday! Why not just tell people that when they call instead of insisting they wait for an email which clearly has issues. Apparently this is a common problem they have. Plenty of other practices around and I will definitely be going elsewhere!! read more

Dr. Dominique is an awesome doctor. She takes time to talk with you and answers any questions you might have. The staff at Macarthur OBGYN sometimes have difficulties dealing with patients and issues that arise. On several occasions I have been given the wrong information when it came to my health/ condition and everyday practices of the office. Because I love my doctor so much, I will stay at Macarthur OB/GYN, but it can be frustrating dealing with some of the employees at the office. read more

What. A. Nightmare. I debated a long time as to how much to divulge but after reading Beatriz's review I'm going to be honest. I have PCOS and in my 30s. After being infertile all of my life and needing fertility drugs to have my son, I unexpectedly became pregnant twice in four months and miscarried both. I'd also had a miscarriage before having my son but the doctor put me on some other drugs that prevented it before I tried again. That doctor was not covered by my insurance so I made an appointment with this practice because they did my c-section. So after a sonogram to determine if everything was okay, I was seen by a nurse practitioner who informed me with a smile that I wasn't pregnant and basically it was just as well because being in my 30s I've reached "that magic age". I told her that I'd miscarried before and told her what my doctor had done to prevent it but she blew this off and suggested that I test to make sure I don't have a clotting disorder. That was done eight years ago and she would have known that had she looked at my chart. I left the appointment with no more answers than I had before and I was fuming. Then five days later they call to let me know that the fertility test my former husband took 8 years ago was normal. During the conversation the poor lady on the phone realized that it was old and seemed pretty embarrassed but that said loud and clear that the doctor was not paying attention at all. I had been told to make an appointment for some blood tests and I went ahead and made it...with the first doctor, that had been so proactive before. I'll be paying a lot more but at least I know I'll be treated like I matter. read more
