Stopped in for a quick dinner. (It's a better place for lunch) We had the Signature Kebab Plate (lamb) and Kebab on Plate (beef and lamb). Both plates come with a small fresh salad which was tasty. The lamb platter was disappointing. Flavor and texture was unappealing. Meat was finely shredded and without texture-like baby food. The kebab on plate was better and actually had pieces of meat. Food is very salty. Would be nice if plates came with bread. We were able to purchase some separately. The bread is more of a tortilla than traditional pita, but nicely grilled. Inside the line moves quickly its an excellent 'made to order fast lunch' with tasty flavors and healthy options. The menu includes plates or wraps with good menu choices, fresh salad ingredients and chicken, falafel, and lamb/beef mix. My hubby had kebab plate with salad and fries and I had a mixed beef and lamb wrap with fries. The staff works fast and provided genuinely kind service, they even offered several sauces at a self serve condiments area. The best service! We are used to Donairs from Jomass Doanir shop in Fort McMurray Alberta, I have never had a better Donair from them and I moved away 17 years ago. Kebab on Fire is very tasty but I would recommend that they put the extra sauces as an option to go INSIDE the donair not just a condoment to put be put into a side container with a hard to close lid that becomes hard to add to this delicious middle eastern mega morsel - having a saucy donair is meaningful. The place was quite busy when I walked in on a Thursday for lunch. I was immediately greeted by the two gentlemen behind the counter. They were friendly and courteous. I ordered the Double Kebab Wrap - garlic, hummus, tzatziki, lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, red cabbage and pickle. At first I thought it was pretty small for a double, but it was packed and filling! I also ordered the Poutine, but it had gotten cold and soggy when I reached my hotel. Worst Greek food we have ever had. Chicken pieces are tiny and thin. Tzatziki sauce was sour and tasted like mayonnaise. Unfortunately zero hummus on our wraps as stated on menu. On Government Street, there's a wicked cool, with the best wraps and French fries I have ever had. Service was quick and super friendly. The young men behind d the counter were super helpful.
