Katya changed my life. Since plucking my eyebrows in the 90s when it was super cool, I have had light, scarce eyebrows that I always needed to fill and shade in with an eyebrow pencil. My first experience here was fine. The second time around was horrible. I went for a brow lamination and after spending $130, my brows were more kinked and misshapen than before. I reached out to the team, and they told me to come back to fix them. Needless to say, nothing was fixed, and my eyebrows have been ORANGE and totally worse than they were 2 months ago. Now I have to put oil on them twice a day to speed up growth and relax the hairs as much as possible. In addition to all this, I forgot I had scheduled another appointment in a couple weeks to go back. Before I could even cancel my own appointment, I received an email that they had cancelled my appointment a few weeks ago for NO reason and with NO explanation. This place has made me feel extremely self conscious as I am extremely displeased and sad with the result and that they didn't apologize, try to remedy the situation, or refund me. I have been looking for someone to do microblading for my threadbare eyebrows. Being new to LA, I had no idea where to go. I looked at Yelp and made appointments for a few consultations at highly rated salons near me. Katya, the owner, had multiple stupendous reviews. However, she was booked solid for months. I decided to check out Aja, because I was in a hurry to get this done before I left town for a week. She didn't have a lot of reviews in Yelp, but the ones she had were good. I figured if Katya was so good, she would have talented people working with her. As soon as I met Aja I was impressed! She was friendly, yet very professional. And she seemed very knowledgeable about the topic. I was so impressed with her during the consultation, that I cancelled my other consultations and booked her for the following week! The procedure was easier and much less painful than I thought it would be. Aja spent a few hours with me, meticulously working on my eyebrows. She took her time, and occasionally let me take a look before she continued the proces to get my approval. She was planning to achieve perfection for me! I have to get my brows redone else where. The person that im going to explained to me what Katya and Aja did to my eyebrows. On a white board she drew hair strokes and a line where my skin is and said they put the hair strokes so deep into my skin that they blended. As a result of that the strokes also turn into this blue/gray color. After having my brows done I was so disappointed because they weren't at all what I saw on their socials. I noticed my tails were turning this gray color about 2 weeks after and I thought with the retouch it would go away and it didn't. Please do research when doing microblading and make sure that after healing photos are posted this is SO important!! Katya and Aja only post during and immediately after the process. People that have known Katya have said there are some people that are overcharging for this trend and taking advantage of people with their work not being great. Now, I am getting what Katya and Aja did removed and starting over. read more
