Isabel explained that I didn't need a full micro-blade, but "feathering" - which is essentially the same as micro-blading, just not as much. She was ready when I arrived, her space immaculate, welcoming and relaxing. She numbed me up and once the numbing cream did what it was supposed to, she got to work. No pain - I literally could have taken a nap! A few weeks out and I'm happy to say that I'm loving the results! Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

Unexpected Charges and Lack of Transparency…read more I booked my appointment in person on Tuesday 7/15 because I wasn't sure what to select online for Gel-X removal. I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I came back for a refill, and two days later was in some of the most pain I've ever been in due to a cuticle infection. I voiced concerns that my skin was being cut, but they were shrugged off. After coming into the salon to show them the infection, the front desk staff was polite and helpful advising they would reach out to the owner and share photos they took of the nail. Days passed and I followed up again via phone as I didn't hear back. The owner of the salon requested PHI pertaining to the infection, including what Rx I was on, in order to even consider a refund. Initially, a gift card for the amount spent on the service was offered in lieu of a refund. I mentioned I was not comfortable receiving another service, and received a call back letting me know the owner was willing to grant a refund. Overall, the back and forth took about a week and a half. I was new to the entire gelx process, and am posting this review to let anyone else looking to embark on that journey know they should ask questions and voice their concerns. There are seemingly many happy patrons, but this was my individual experience.

Before I met Anastasia I thought I had the best lash expert in LA, and I use to over pay for my lashes - like double! What was I thinking?! I was so worried that not only would they harm my natural lashes, with excess glue, clumpy work, uneven lashes going in different direction etc... but I also very adamant about wanting a natural look as an artist having to be in front of the camera often. (I was so terrified of having those big bird lashes that screamed fake from miles away!) UNTIL my previous girl moved to Texas - It was the best thing that ever happened. Not only is Anastasia the best kept secret in LA, and a perfectionist if I ever saw one... but she's an amazingly sweet - treats your lashes with the utmost care as if they were her own, ONLY uses top of the line product and you are ALWAYS guaranteed the best, long lasting, evenly beautiful lashes you've ever had!! That plus a relaxing ambiance and delicious treat at the end of your session. And the best part is... not only can I go natural, but I can even go Super Glam now and still look fabulous! If you are looking for lashes that stay forever and don't damage your natural lashes... then you've come to the right place. Anastasia is amazing at her craft and truly takes the time to make sure she give you what you want without sacrificing the health of your lashes. She's detailed and extra caring and the best of all she's great to chat with. I can't tell you how nice it is to actually enjoy laying somewhere for an hour or more. I'm someone who can't even commit to doing my nails on the regular so it says a lot that I have gone to Anastasia for 2 years. I've never had a break and haven't experienced any balding of my lashes. I go once a month for refills, sometimes longer. She truly makes them last. I know some people like to go twice a month but it's not necessary with Anastasia. Anastasia is an expert at making lashes look natural, instead of fake. Many people tell me how beautiful my eyes are. I thank Anastasia. They have to ask if my eyelashes are my own or fake because they say they can't tell. That's a good eyelash job! My hairdresser, who looks down on my eyelashes from above, and who sees many bad eyelash jobs, commented that mine are high quality work because the eyelashes are placed right up to the edge of the eyelid without any margin. Peonies Lashes is THE place. I went to Anastasia for years then moved and recently tried to get my lashes done elsewhere locally. I'm not going to bother going elsewhere again. I made the long drive to see Anastasia finally and it was so worth it. I highly recommend getting your lashes done at Peonies, it's really hard to find a place that does it right and this one definitely does... every single time. I made appointment on the weekend for the Tuesday of the next week, got all the appointment confirmation texts, read all, checked if I need to click on anything to confirm - nothing, appointment was confirmed, got reminder at 6 am even about 8 am appointment. Moved my schedule and schedule for the day for my husband to take kids to school (causing him to attend work meetings from the car while driving kids to school), showed up at my time (8 am), waited for 30 minutes (as if I have no work to attend to that day at all) and turns out they cancelled my appointment for no reason! I have busy work schedule and busy life schedule with kids in it. I have no time for someone to cancel my appointments just because they are lazy to show up at work. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Zero respect for people's time, zero organization and utter nonsense of a place

Before Alia, almost all of my lashes fell out within 2 weeks, but she tried different things until she found what worked best for me and now they look amazing all the time and last longer than they ever have! I like them full and noticeable, but natural-looking at the same time. Alia gives me the perfect amount, somewhere between Classic & Hybrid and uses very thin lashes that look & feel like my own. She has experimented with mixing single lashes with fans on the ends to give me my perfect Cat Eye look. Her touch is so light, I often fall asleep in sessions. I've gotten lash extensions since 2018 with no irritation issues, then the skin around my eyes suddenly became allergic to the fumes from the lash glue causing itchiness & dry patches. Alia was happy to try different things until we found what helped. For me, it was doing extra rinses at the end of each session and using an extra under eye patch on my lid, as well, to protect and cover more skin. All irritation has completely stopped! Even my dermatologist was shocked and pleasantly surprised. I couldn't be happier with my lashes and am grateful I found Alia and highly recommended her. She's very flexible with appointment times and always very friendly and pleasant.
