The diesel mechanics said they could repair it for $5000 or remove the DEF system for $1600. I chose to remove it. Now 2026 my truck was stolen and was recovered with no keys. No body in the area would work on it to get new keys cause of the missing DEF system, especially the Ford dealership. I went to Rapid Diesel and talked to them. They said they could take care of my problem of no keys and check the truck out for any other issues. They were great to work with. They notice that the brakes have been rode hard and desperately needed replacing which they did. They were very upfront with everything, no surprises. Next time I need diesel repair in Rapid City there is no question, I'm going to go to Rapid Diesel. I can't say enough good about them, they were great.

This was the best auto repair experience I have ever had. Troy was incredibly nice, friendly,…read moreapproachable, and fair. He is a good guy and you can tell. He looks out for his customers and makes them happy. My van had to be towed a month or two ago. Unfortunately the towing company (not Advanced Auto Repair) did an awful job towing and actually damaged my van. I came to Advanced Auto Repair to get it fixed. The van was making an awful noise that made it uncomfortable to drive. Even worse, I had plans to move across the country to Oregon for a new job in just two weeks. Troy made a spot available for me on short notice and he was able to fix my van in a short time frame. He went out of his way for me as a customer and it really showed. I recommend this place for anyone with car troubles. You will be treated well and the prices are fair. They will not try to take extra money from you.
