After being quoted a price of $900 to change a water pump I asked them to cease any practice on my vehicle. I owed them $80 for diagnostics and I paid it they claimed that the serpentine belt broke but when I asked to see the part they said they threw it out. I am a delivery driver and one of my fellow drivers changed my water pump for $50. I looked on the breakdown of parts and charges and one of those charges was a serpentine belt drive component kit that they wanted to charge me $235.50 we found the same thing at O'Reilly's for $65 they wanted to charge me $100 for a water pump I paid $75 at O'Reilly's they also wanted to change the thermostat and they also wanted to take care of my tie rods and control arm and axle shaft assembly so on and so forth they had a total bill of $2,574.31 and I feel that they are engaging and deceptive practices I will be contacting the better Business bureau and I have already contacted the attorney generals because I'm going to file a complaint of deceptive practice. My 2002 Chevy Silverado has been plagued with chronic parking brake problems for about as long as I've owned it. I was driving it home after a local auto repair competitor attempted another "successful repair" when I smelled burning brakes and noticed my rear wheel hubs were extremely hot. I pulled into Belly Brothers and Robert and his crew diagnosed the issue and presented several repair options. The repairs they executed lasted for a little over one year. During that period they performed routine cable adjustments free of charge. I returned the vehicle to them this week as the parking brake was starting to slip again. It took them two days to replace/reconfigure/test the parking brake cables, but when the dust settled, my parking brake worked superbly, and there was no charge for parts or labor since Robert warranted everything. The office "female" turned out to be the wife of the owner and she was so mean and unpleasant that I was sick to my stomach from how badly I was treated and had some anxiety because of it. After five weeks in the shop, I drove away in a car that was not fixed completely but was charged for it all. I have tried to post a review on Yelp before, but they would not post my original so here is the edit - I would never take another vehicle to this shop. I was lied to, the wife told me I was "trying to pull" something when I questioned some damage to my vehicle that was there after I brought the car home and told me to sue her and laughed at me and hung up on me. Unprofessional and rude. But it seems like they take good care of the out of town customers. No wonder we had to wait so long - they were "squeezing in" the vacationers. My husband and I were in Rapid City for a one-night stop on our thirteen day road-trip. On our way to Rapid City, I needed an oil change but, more rattling to me, my engine light came on and went off twice. Further, the air wasn't cooling the cabin correctly. Being a "Dealership Snob," I called the local Ford Dealership. They stated that they could take care of the oil change but to diagnose the problem with the car, I'd need to schedule one appointment for that - and then another appointment for the actual repair. I was devastated. We needed our car fixed within the day. I hopped on Yelp and noticed other reviews by vacationers who mentioned the Belly Brothers as being a great shop. I called them and they told me to bring my car in first thing in the morning. My husband and is got a hotel near their shop and brought the car in 20 minutes before they opened. Within 2 hours they'd completed the oil changed and discovered what was making the sensors go off - and fixed it (FREE OF CHARGE). They went a step further and cleaned out the interior of the engine compartment and air filter after noticing a mouse's nest was lodged inside.. again, all free of charge. I was back on the road in no time having only paid $60! read more

Was quoted a price for AC repair however it ended up being $400 more than I was quoted. I understand these things happen however you would expect that the problem would be fixed. Almost immediately I noticed that the AC wasn't working as it should, so I took it back. I was told that the proper amount of refrigerant wasn't used in and that I was going to have to pay an extra $20 for the extra refrigerant that should have been used. I paid that, and shortly after getting my car back I noticed that the AC still wasn't working properly. I took it back and was told that it still needed more parts and more work that was going to cost an additional $650. Not feeling that I had a choice at this point I had them finish the job as I really needed it fixed. It was my understanding that because of the inconvenience of the whole ordeal that I would only be paying for the parts however on the final invoice we received when we picked up vehicle we were charged $276 in labor. So all in all I ended up spending more than $1,000 more than I was originally quoted. I understand that additional things can come up when a car is being worked on, but come on. I actually considered using them again, however when I saw that labor charge on the final invoice that was it for me. Will not be using them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone else. read more
