My good friend and I just enjoyed a fantastic meal at The Prime. The meal began with thick cut BBQ bacon. This pork just melted in our mouths, sweet and smoky with a hint of spice. The salad consisted of firm ripe watermelon and sweet strawberries tossed with arugula and feta in a tangy vinaigrette. Very refreshing. The next course was our favorite...homeade ricotta filled, sweet corn, crispy shallot and asparagus topped, perfectly made ravioli. This dish was awesome! Buttery, sweet, salty and creamy, yet bright and light. The bone-in, dry aged cowboy rib eye that followed was just as good, in its own right. This steak was super juicy and tender. Cooked just to mid-rare, our steak was evenly marbled with exceptional flavor. The main course was accompanied by crispy fried smashed fingerling potatoes topped with a creamy worcestershire sauce. Fresh cut corn off the cob creamed with butter, fresh herbs and smoky bacon finished this epic course. Delicious! Dessert was not to be missed. Perfectly torched, amber colored sugar topped a room temperature orange and ginger creme brulee. Not to sweet, beautifully prepared. Along side an alomond sponge cake tart topped with creamy vanilla gelato. Difficult to describe, impossible to resist. This meal was just so good I had to recall it! Well done! read more

What a horrible experience! I took my brother here for his 30th birthday and his steak was returned 3 times for being under cooked. Staff really didn't care and everyone stood around talking instead of taking care of there tables. It's a shame because I spoke so highly of there burgers at lunch time but for dinner I definitely would not recommend eating here. read more

This was our first visit for dinner. First off, yes it's pricey but the food is very good. We got the fish and chips special and one person had the New York strip. I know, what, fish n chips at a steak place, you crazy. It just sounded good and they used cod and hand cut fries. It was freaking delicious, the cod pieces were huge.. The New York strip was ordered well done, yet it was still tender. Also had the creamed spinach side, excellent. My sangria was one of the best sangria's I've had. You can come here for lunch and try it, which would be cheaper they also have happy hour. It's worth trying this place, even if you gotta watch your wallet that week. read more

I order take out a couple times a month. The costumer service is exceptional. Recently they put in a smaller salad-instead of a large (their mistake) and completely made up for it. Very apologetic about the mistake, and very kind! I appreciate being taken care of in exchange for the mistake! The food is always incredible. This restaurant is sort of like the college sophomore that still has not declared their major yet, because it doesn't seem to know what it really wants to be. Their prices are high, they attempt to pull off the upscale steakhouse vibe, however their offerings for lunch and dinner are simply average and the atmosphere and decor almost clash, it is rather disturbing. To make matters worse, they eliminated their Sunday brunch which was AMAZING!! Their spread for the brunch was very appetizing, hot, and plentiful. Decor and atmosphere can clash all they want, when you serve a lobster bisque so great, that I would shave the eyebrows off of a 3 year old just to slurp down the last bowl of it on earth. Saturday night, 5/2/15, 8 pm - They "lost our reservation" after THEY CALLED TO CONFIRM our reservation this afternoon. Party of 6 and a very special occasion. WE watched a lot of people come in behind us and be seated right away. They really weren't the least bit concerned. This is what happens when your business is turned over to a bunch of posturing young people. Finally offered us a table OUTSIDE. No one else was seated outside after the temp began to drop. In all fairness, the service was excellent and attentive. It's as if the waitstaff sensed our disappointment. But, no apologetic manager appeared. And there should have been one. Caesar salad very small and ordinary, worthy of a fast-food place. Calamari very good, but really didn't need to be drizzled with 2 other sauces.. 12-oz. prime rib really no better than Outback at 2/3 the price. I decided to check out this KC Prime since it is newly opened. It was busy but I luckily got a seat at the bar. The staff behind the bar were very friendly and attentive to me and the other patrons. I was told the specials and I ordered the snapper . It was cooked to perfectly and was very fresh. I ordered a glass of pinot grigio that was reasonable priced ( $7). My only complaint was that the sauce that came on the side was not barley warm and tasted like it was from a powder and the brocollini was luke warm. The bartender asked how everything was and I told him it was great but not very warm. He offered to fix it right away. I kept it because I didn't want them to microwave it even though he insisted it would not be. He bought me a glass of wine on the house. It was very kind. There were a lot of people around and at the bar but I didn't feel rushed at all. I actually enjoyed myself . My only other grip was the bar back bartender kept taking the tops off of beer and flinging them on the floor. That's what you do at a dive bar not a steak house . Even if it's a chain. read more

Why did I ever just drop $150 on this place when I could have made a better steak at home and fed a party of 6? First off, my friend orders a "special" cowboy Rib-eye and I order the 18oz NY strip on the bone (but why did she suggest I order it Pittsburghed? Hmmmm) . We have appetizers and bread with some strange globby spicy cheese spread sitting in olive oil. Server comes back and states Cowboy Rib Eye sold out, - I suggested he get same as me -- she states, That is sold out, too. Hmmm, steakhouse selling out of steaks (?). So, he gets her suggestion, the Filet mignon, bone on. Both plates came with a very small steaks and very large baked potatoes, but his plate has 3 asparagus spears while mine had none. What is that about? Both steaks were grisly, and recalling that they were "running out", I realized we got the dregs of the nights' cuts. That blew it for me. Plus we were charged the $40 for the Filet although it was listed as $37 in menu -- must have been those asparagus spears at a buck apiece. Sorry KC PRime, you are all talk and no action. A real steakhouse puts out a real steak every time. You did not. read more

On Friday night my friend and I grabbed a later dinner. You could say we were curious about KC Prime since neither of us had dined here before. On the outside the building resembles a Ruby Tuesday, although upon entering its layout and décor are much more upscale. The ambiance and aromas coming from the kitchen beckoned to patrons such as us...and we were more than happy to oblige. Although KCP is a steakhouse, it's always helpful to have the opinion of an employee when you're a newcomer. Our waiter, Jerry, could not have been more pleasant and knew the menu like the back of his hand, two pluses. Who wants a waiter who acts like they would rather be somewhere else? I know I don't! My friend and I began with the Calamari, I ordered the Beet Salad for my starter, and she ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs while I decided on the Jumbo Lump Crabcakes. The Calamari arrived quickly and seasoned to perfection. What we enjoyed most about it was how it was not greasy, but slightly crispy and chewy, but not to the extent you thought you were eating rubber. How ever the chef pulled off this alchemy baffles me four days later. Next, my Beet Salad. First, the salad was $8 yet I felt I was getting a bargain for the portion that was more of an entree or could have accommodated two persons. I was definitely taking it home (note: I got three meals out of it). When our main courses arrived, both of us marveled at our plate presentation; the food was even better. Although I have had ribs that are literally falling off the bone, the meat was cooked and seasoned thoroughly while the Guiness sauce made the ribs savory. My crabcakes, on the other hand, blew me away. Few places --until I visited KC Prime-- can pull off a crabcake that is a decent size with a small amount of breading and the rest is crabmeat and seasonings. Red Lobster cannot hold a candle to these! Last but not least, I saved room for the Apple Walnut Cobbler for dessert. Definitely a sharing size and arrived warm but not piping hot. Overall, KC Prime did not disappoint and I would recommend coming here with a group or date. Expect your entree to be in the mid $20 range (the cheapest being a burger at $10). I am not doubting the two and three star reviews as all restaurants have some level of inconsistency. Next time I am in the Warrington area during lunchtime, I will be stopping here. read more

I have eaten at KC Prime on several occasions. The food is delicious! I have to say the bathrooms are filthy. If you're going to charge the amount of money for high end food, having toilet paper in the bathroom is a must. It speaks volumes when your bathroom is not kept up with through the night. My family and I have been going to KC Prime for a very long time now because of their great service and well executed food. The family that owns it is so generous and really do care about their customers! Since the food is always so delicious and consistent, we've hosted many office parties there in which they are always willing to accommodate! And don't even get me started on their Sunday brunch... Great options for every diner and taste!! You would think that when you pay $80 for a porterhouse for 2 it would be a steak to remember. Unfortunately, that was not the case last night. The steak was very tough and chewy, a terrible cut of meat. There were only a few bites that were tender (on the filet side). It was extremely disappointing. On top of the that the service was even worse. Our server, Brittany was horrible. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks. And when she brought them she didn't bring them all at once. This was our second time there. The first was fantastic, the second was terrible. Now we will never go there again. And will look elsewhere for a good steak. read more

Just walking in to this beautiful restaurant you know you are going to be taken care of. The service is very professional and approachable. The quesadillas are wonderful-- an unexpected flavor combination that really hits the spot. I also recommend the Ahi Tuna and any of the steaks-- always cooked perfectly! Bravo KC Prime! read more

What bothers me when I go out to eat is when I can sit at the table and honestly say to my wife that I could cook this dish better at home. A day before Valentines Day, the place is empty, my wife and I order the same thing, an 8oz NY Strip cooked medium. Hers comes out cooked perfectly, mine wasn't rare yet. I hate sending food back into the kitchen, but this wasn't edible yet. 20 minutes later, my wife is finished eating and my steak comes back out, the same steak that was already cut into, charred on the outside and dried out on the inside. 110$ later, I left hungry. The only reason it's not 1 star was that the server we had was very attentive, and my wife's dinner was cooked perfectly. I can excuse a normal restaurant for screwing up the temps on a think steak every once and a while, but not a steakhouse. It's what you guys do! We won't be back. read more

They give me a little tiny plastic fork with a little tiny plastic knife..I pleaded for a knife, even Offered to leave my drivers license to "borrow" a knife. Wow... I was a little concerned after reading some reviews but I really enjoyed my visit to kc prime. We shared an order of calamari that I can honestly say was the best calamari I've ever had. Tender and delicious with just the right amount of spice. Then I went with the sesame encrusted ahi tuna. Delicious. My wife and son went with the filet and enjoyed it. Will definitely return soon. I have been a regular for four years. This is the second time, though, that I've gotten less than great service when I come in alone. I get seated in the worst location, and the waiter fails to tell me about specials. I was here last night with six people (our table spent over $400 with tip). Great service. But a single woman of an advanced age? Not so much. Don't know if I'll complain our not. The food is wonderful. Good wine list. I met a friend here for lunch on a whim. The service was quick and friendly, the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was great! This is a pretty upscale place, but for lunch we felt comfortable being a little on the casual side. We both had salad, which were great... especially the tuna one! Very unique. Great atmosphere, great upgrade in decor, majority of the food was very good, Caesar dressing a little bland, service is not speedy but more of a pace where they let you enjoy a drink and talk between courses. Draft beers came out a little warm, but bottled beer was nice and cold. staff was very polite and the manager would comp anything that took long before they even had a chance to hear the customer complain about the wait. Overall a good experience. Not as much a family restaurant as a great restaurant to bring a date or business client. read more
