Very courteous, professional and skilled. I arranged for a manicure for my mom and pedicure for my dad, both done by Jacqueline. She was very warm, polite and professional from start to finish. Both of my parents really enjoyed it so I will be bringing them back. You're always greeted warmly by the front staff with choice of a beverage. The vibe is upscale but not too stuffy.

An ELITE experience. A wonderful place to get a haircut…read more The owners are hard working and always up and about on their FEET unlike my local Chili's where the manager sits on her ass while the staff struggle! Not surprised they've stood the test of Time throughout the coronavirus unlike many other local establishments (cough cough... Chili's). They are nice, do a great job, consistent, and you always know you're gonna leave loving how you look. I look forward to haircuts now thanks to them. Glad I found a wonderful local place to stop in!

Christine has been my barber for about five years. She can hook up a fade like nobody's business…read more She is enjoyable to talk with. Her space affords you some semblance of privacy as opposed to the traditional barber shop open-air row of chairs. Her space has a TV so you can watch whatever you wish (although I never watch it as I am too busy having a conversation with her) and she even has a fridge with waters or juice for the kids. You better plan at least two weeks ahead if you want a cut, because she is usually booked up for two weeks at any given time. That should speak for itself. I will not go to anyone else for a haircut. She is simply the best.

Wow, very rude. I was a walk-in, trying the place for the first time after reading the reviews…read more They asked me to wait while the two barbers working finished (totally fine, fully understandable). Then, a new walk-in arrived with his son. The new arrival spoke in another language and a third hair cutter came out. I watched the exchange as the host pointed at the schedule, mentioned walk-in in reference to the new person and then the new hair cutter looked at me and said he would not be able to take me after the new walk in jumped ahead. I guess at this establishment it REALLY pays to be a regular. This place does not seem like they want new business. I recommend finding another option (I will).

While it was out of our way (it's not accessible by metro), we chose it due to the easy to use website, straightforward pricing, great reviews on google and customer images that were exactly the style we were looking for. And WOW... the commute was 100% worth the cost of an Uber ride. We booked with Frank and couldn't believe the magic hands this man has! hahaha. Frank is funny, kind and was super helpful bringing both his expertise and listening skills to the table. We showed up with a few samples of what we wanted and Frank worked his magic on my friend's hair and beard. I also was super annoying recording everything for TikTok (haha!) because, well, we wanted to make a funny video of the experience for our friends - and Frank was so fun to work with. He even jumped in some pictures with us at the end. Most important, my friend got so many compliments on his new look afterwards. I highly recommend Barber Effect and Frank!

Bookings made online are not honored…read more I made a booking via the Roosters app for 6:30 pm and showed up at 6:32pm to be told that my booking was not in the system and to try again tomorrow. I checked my email to find a cancellation email timestamped 6:30pm. This a breach of customer trust. The problem was pushed back to me to solve. So, I am solving by never returning after more than four years of going here. I have no time to play the "system says" games made even more frustrating when the issue is turned back on the customer who apparently imagined this all up despite the confirmation and cancellation emails.
