I asked for a simple clipper fade with 4 as the lower guard, a neck and sideburn trim- and showed the lady an image. She kept buzzing and buzzing all around my head with the clippers so I thought she must be doing something special. When she turned my chair around to the mirror- all of my hair was gone and it looked more like she buzzed my head with a 1! Sooooo unhappy about this haircut! I was looking for a barber shop to get my sons hair looking fresh for school picture day. We have tried all the places around our home but I always left feeling unsatisfied with how my sons hair looked. I decided to hop on Yelp to see what I can find and saw the reviews and a few pictures of this place and wondered if they could squeeze in my son. I called them and was lucky enough to get him in! Kim, is the barber who had cut my sons hair. I am more than pleased with his high skin fade she did. She quickly realized that the shape of my sons head wasn't perfect but that didn't stop her from doing the best she could with making his hair look good! I couldn't be any more than happier making the decision to have come here. I am so glad that my son doesn't have uneven lines around his head like he would normally from other barbers works. LOL. BUT Kim really took her time to do a good job and definitely didn't butcher it. Kim just knows how to use her clippers well!! EXCELLENT Service!!! The staff was respectful, attentive and extremely professional. Last week I came by myself, today with my three boys and nephew. The service was quick and cuts exquisite. These guys are true professionals and perfectionists. I recommend this place to all in this area. They have won me as a customer. The only reason it's 4 and not 5 stars is because one barber charged my two boys one price and the other charged $3 extra.. and they had the same cut! Still good work .. but confusing nonetheless. I had to switch barbers mid cut, and they gave me different fades on each side of my head. They also gave me a mullet when I asked for a taper. The fades are good but the service sucks, and the barbers don't listen. After all that, they charged me $35 for a simple taper fade that they didn't even do right. read more

Let me start off by saying that I never write reviews, but my experience here was so bad that it warrants one. My first time here I made an appointment for when they open and a barber didn't show up until 45 minutes later. That should of been my warning to find a difference place. So I called in to make an appointment and Kim answered the phone. I told her I wanted to make an appointment to get my beard cut, she said ok and after 10 seconds of silence she handed the phone to Oldrich. I told him I wanted to make an appointment for tomorrow and wanted to see his earliest availability. He tells me 9 which I say is fine, and then he goes "well actually I have things I gotta do in the morning so can you come like 10:30?" I thought that was ridiculous but I'm not picky so I said sure. I showed up at 10:20 and there were 4 barbers there, none of which were Oldrich. So I wait. Almost an hour later at 11:10 someone (Kim) finally acknowledges me and asks if I have an appointment. I tell her yes, with Oldrich at 10:30. She asks if I want to wait for Oldrich or she can just do it. At this point since apparently no one knows if Oldrich is alive or why he isn't there I said sure she can do it. This was a bigger mistake than showing up at all. I told her I just wanted my beard short and lined up. Mind you my beard was bushy and all over the place. I got in the chair at 11:20 and she was done at 11:30. My beard is now long in different places, uneven, and is lined up at my neck. And to top things off she charged me full price after all this. No one apologized for what happened or offered to somehow make things right. This place needs management or at least someone that knows what's going on because no one seems to know where anyone is or what appointments anyone has. I would strongly advise going somewhere else because I will be. The customer service is horrendous and there are plenty of other barbers out there to be wasting your time here. read more

Today was our first time visiting Jaz Cutz in the Chantilly location but it certainly will not be our last. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, the place was clean, and it's clear the barbers are highly trained. As we waited our turn (which wasn't long), I watched each of the barbers meticulously work their craft. A new barber was on the floor and the manager checked the cut and patiently explained to the barber in training what he missed. It was clear he had a keen eye and wasn't allowing the customer to leave until his haircut was on point! I have two picky boys who wanted their hair cut a certain way. Mr. Jasmine didn't disappoint and did a Great Job. My drive from the barbershop is typically filled with groaning about how their hair is cut uneven, wasn't done the way they asked, etc., but today was a 100% SUCCESS! I'm not one to leave many reviews but this barbershop earned our continued business today. It was worth our drive from Loudoun. read more

Been going to Jazz Cutt for a few months now. Have received nothing less than World class customer service. I was worried moving here from STL to NOVA last year that I may not find a barber who can cut the way I have grown accustomed to. Was presently surprised with the talent and attention to detail and been working with barber Henry Bell ever since. I personally like the app he has, I can just login and schedule a time and can be sure to get in and out without a hassle. If i could give less than 1 star i would......i went to Jaz Cutz this morning for a pretty simple haircut and it ended up turning into a nightmare. I spent a whole hour in the barbers chair for a haircut that should have took 20 minutes at the most, and to top it off the guy hardly cut my hair the way i asked. I asked multiple times if he could cut my bangs shorter and he apparently dosnt know what bangs are because he never cut them. It got too the point where i had to ask him to just stop because i had things to do besides sitting at the barber for over an hour. Now i have to go home and have my girlfriend fix my hair since the barber accomplished nothing in the hour i spent in his chair. read more

LJ is a Amazing young man! I bring my son to the shop with a ton of hair on his head every single time. This young man has my son looking so fresh when he leaves. He's very meticulous in his craft and takes his time getting it perfect. My son always comes in with a picture of something new and he gets it right every time. I found him on yelp and am so glad to have given him a try. When you schedule an appt with him he gets you in on time every time w/ no over booking. Btw you can book him on the booksby app under LJ the barber! Don't be fooled even tho my son comes here I've seen him cut men as well that walk out looking fresh too! I don't recommend walk-ins in this shop because the barbers including him stay booked. I would definitely call before you come if your considering walking in to see how his schedule is for that day! I have gone to literally ever barber in the book. I was referred to this place from a friend & I went to go see Que last minute! He was able to squeeze me in thank goodness. Once I walked in everyone greeted me & asked how my day was going. It felt like home & everyone was super nice. THE HAIR CUT IS FANTASTIC! I will N E V E R go to another barber again! One star due to the inconsistency with the barbers' cutting skills here. My son went today and usually the barber that cuts his hair does a decent job but he did a terrible job today! Kept cutting my son's hair when he told him the length was fine. The cut was uneven etc... These barbers are not "seasoned" and really need to further develop their skills. Its been extremely difficult to find a great barbershop in Northern Virginia, however, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we visited Jaz Cutz this afternoon. The atmosphere was extremely pleasant and Jaz the owner was extremely patient and did an amazing job with our two years old. Not only was the hair cut i requested just as i asked but the attention to detail was impeccable. My husband's hair cut was also amazing. Shockingly bad customer experience. Showed up with my son for a walk in appointment. All of the barbers were busy but literally no one would make eye contact to help us. Waited 30 minutes and saw 2 people finish, the barbers immediately jumped on their phone late and walked to the back room. Ended up leaving because no one would help us. Very sad! read more
