Their quote was comprehensive and far more competitive than others we gathered. They were flexible with us on timing that worked for both parties and were super thorough on communicating what was happening daily. They ended each day with photos of progress made and an update on what would be happening the next day, timing for those coming to the house, etc. They worked with us on our more unique asks (installing super old antique doors) as well as guided and advised us on bigger decisions (removing walls, where to put build-ins in our mudroom, how to best configure our new closet). Crazy enough, we finished on time - actually a couple of weeks early. They've been back a couple of times since just to help with small things we ended up wanting revised or that we messed up (like my husband backing into our new stucco....). They care about their work and their clients. I cannot recommend them enough!

We recently closed on our home and couldn't be happier with the experience. From being on the email list to selecting our lot, every step was smooth and well-organized. The sales office, Justin and Terry Lents, are seasoned pros always quick to respond and assist making the process feel seamless. Our design studio appointment with Bernadette was decision-heavy, but manageable with her help. She offered thoughtful guidance while giving us space to make our own creative choices -- not pushy at all. Upgrades were reasonable and in line with industry expectations. The closing process was stress-free. Title signing took less than 45 minutes, the walk-through with Mike B (super) went smoothly, and any small details after closing were promptly addressed. Every expectation we had was exceeded prior to, during, and following. The property itself is in a great location -- quiet and gated, yet close to the freeway. When we moved in, other homes near us were mid-construction. Despite that, the noise volume was manageable, security is heightened and they street-sweep weekly so no nails in your tire. Area is perfect for children or pets. Downtown Mesa is revitalizing and attracts ASU students, making this a strong investment. Great schools are nearby, and commuting is convenient: 20 minutes to Sky Harbor Airport, 25 to Mesa Gateway, under 20 to Downtown Gilbert, 25 to Old Town, 25 to San Tan, 20 to Float Salt Lake, and about 1 hour 15 to Payson. Overall, we are extremely grateful for a team that made home-buying not only smooth and efficient but genuinely enjoyable. Their professionalism, guidance, and attentiveness made all the difference.

    ArDan Construction

Settle in for this one:…read more In January 2024, we chose ArDan to remodel our glorified galley kitchen in our 1974 rambler in McCormick Ranch, and provided a budget between $150-175K. The project had a couple of other components, i.e., removing two interior walls and a non-functioning beehive fireplace, replacing the front door, and a handful of "wants" but not necessarily "needs." While fully aware of said budget, the sales guy's first concept (his idea, not ours), was to relocate the kitchen and create a butler's pantry/walk-through pantry in place of the original kitchen; essentially putting in two kitchens. That would be all fine and good if it could be done for $150-175K. We had never considered moving the kitchen. It seemed costly, but he knew our budget. (Note: nothing about this project included gaining any square footage to our 1984 sq ft home). We paid them 9K to get the ball rolling; they came a couple of times to take measurements, 3D imaging, etc., and then provided a proposal that exceeded our original budget by $150K. That should have been our sign (that and the 8K they allocated for washer/dryer), but we'd spent several thousand dollars so far and thought they at least deserved another chance to get it right. We then opted to keep the kitchen in place and incorporate a peninsula, instead. In lieu of solid wood cabinets (and because I was looking for a more stream-lined, minimalist style), ArDan suggested a laminate cabinet to give us the look we wanted without (supposedly) the cost of wood. Again, we were skeptical, but the laminate was beautiful, solid, exceptionally engineered. After falling in love with the cabinets, choosing countertops and appliances, and meeting with the designer at the cabinet company multiple times (the design was finalized with the exception of adding a few inserts), ArDan presented us with yet another cost estimate that was still between $92-117K over our original budget. The more economical laminate cabinets were anything but, and necessitated an additional $20K to install because, as our contractor finally disclosed, he wasn't qualified to do so. German cabinets apparently must be installed by Germans. From Germany. At no point in the process was ArDan even remotely close to our original number. It was clear the job needed some serious re-tooling, and I let them know that unless they had any other suggestions, the kitchen project was going to be dead in the water. Then they just walked away without even a "sorry we couldn't make this work" text message. We never heard from them again. So, here we are, one year later still limping along with a kitchen that's in desperate need of a remodel, grateful that our circa 1997 side-by-side fridge at least made it through the holidays before it came disconcertingly close to causing a fire (thankfully, it did not). If we could rewind the tape to January 2024, we would; and we would do everything differently.

I bought a house in East Mesa, Arizona that was built at the end of 2018 and first lived in at the end of 2018. I bought the house from the first owner in 2021. I recently started noticing the stones falling off the exterior walls of the house, to the point where I'm about to lose an entire wall. I submitted a warranty claim. KB took over a week to get back to me after I called several times. They finally sent a customer service rep out to the house to take pictures and look at the damage. This is becoming a safety issue at this point. I then never heard back from the customer service rep until I had to reach out 2x through phone to see if they were going to help fix their shotty workmanship. She said no that the home was out of the 2-year workmanship warranty. If it's strictly a 2-year warranty, then why even bother coming to my home to look at the issue? Anyways, please proceed reading.. I understand the stipulations on home warranties, but the company should know what should and should never happen with a home. They should be able to loosely interpret their warranties knowing what should never happen, but even from a customer service perspective. I'm from the East Coast (New York) where homes (with stones as well) get battered by blizzards, hurricanes, humidity (moisture in the air) and erratic weather, etc. You name it, the homes experience it. Never once have I even seen a 20-year-old home have stones fall off the home. My home is not even 5 years old at this point and I'm about to lose an entire wall of stones. Note that some of the damage can't be seen in my pictures that I've taken, but when you press on many of the stones you can hear and feel the movement behind the stonework. The last time I spoke to the customer service rep, I requested a manager reach out to me so I can further discuss this. It's now been over a week since I have spoken to anyone and have not received a phone call from the manager. So now I'm left with 2 options: do it myself, which I'm not a professional, or hire a masonry company for over a thousand dollars to fix an issue that should never happen. This led me to now writing this review. Consumers deserve better. Sadly this company should probably be watched while they build homes. Poor quality. Poor workmanship. Poor customer service.

We were fine at our current home which we love, but being blessed with our two little angels at an empty nest age, deciding what to do with land and needing a multi generational home as my mom needs more care now; we are needing more room at our age when we should be downsizing. Hee hee Now the Palo Verde which works for our needs is being built in Goodyear. Julie is a shining star realtor representing Tri Pointe, the gal I believe Michelle working with her is very kind as well. They are welcoming to everyone! Julie knows the product and you won't get the bs false information getting you to try and buy from her. We are shopping around deciding whether to build with a home builder, buy resale, build our own custom home with my husband getting his contractor's license or paying a custom home builder. Each has its pros and cons. Right now no matter what direction the business is booming, materials have increased 110% and trades are busy. Quality is down as there is more work than contractors available. Therefore they don't care as much. Shortages of worker and material is today's norm. Houses could take up to 14 months or longer. Before all the crazy hit you were looking around 8 to 9 months average. For over 30 years it has always been a requirement with all builders if you working with a realtor that they acompany you during your first visit. All Tri Pointe floor plans and pricing are available online and you can play with the floor plans and the structural upgrades which shows the pricing as well. Virtual tours are on many of the plans. Housing is not perfect. You will have crooked walls etc. Make sure you work with a good inspector and make a checklist during your walk thru of items you want repaired. Turn everything on and off make sure things work. Don't sign papers until you are satisfied. Home builders aren't perfect, but you can save a lot of headaches using an inspector and being represented by a good realtor. Also talk with a realtor making sure they have your back and have years in the business. Shop within your means. Don't be the one who has it all and is up to their eyeballs in debt. We love Tri Pointe's floorplans and I have always had a good experience with their sales reps in the 4 communities we have been to. This builders homes holds value. Still praying on which direction to go.
