I understand that not every restaurant offers birthday desserts or freebies, but what was disappointing was that there was no effort to acknowledge the birthday or even speak to my daughter. A simple "Happy Birthday" would have meant a lot. Unfortunately, the service continued to be disappointing. It took quite a while to place our order, we were never asked if we needed anything else or wanted refills, and when we were ready to leave, we tried multiple times to get our waitress's attention for to-go boxes and the check. She ignored us, and we eventually had to flag down another server for assistance. This experience left us feeling overlooked, especially on what was supposed to be a special morning for our daughter. We weren't expecting anything extravagant--even a little whipped cream on her pancakes and a sincere "Happy Birthday" would have made her feel celebrated. Based on this experience, we won't be returning.

Additionally, the staff never checked on us during our meal to see if everything was good or to refill our water. I'm torn between a 3-star and a 4-star review because service means everything, especially in this day and age where everything is outrageously expensive.
