We contacted Kaylor's based on numerous positive recommendations from our neighbors. We weren't entirely sure if our issues we were having in our home were septic tank related. Our showers and tubs began backing up with nastiness occasionally (especially when it rained); the toilets wouldn't always flush and water would rise to the rim, and the toilets would make gurgling sounds occasionally (which I now know is not normal and you need your septic tank pumped asap if your toilet is gurgling), and our tubs were draining slowly. Over the weekend, the tub I was showering in stopped draining mid-shower, and the toilet began gurgling. In the mean time, the other shower and tub had backed up with filth, and the toilets wouldn't flush. I had hoped they would drain, but after a few hours, they had not drained at all. After researching what was happening in our home and seeing how many people in our area highly recommended Kaylor's, I decided to call them. It was later at night, and they answered promptly. I explained what was happening in our home, and they asked a few more questions to determine if the problems were a septic tank issue or possibly something else. They were patient with me, and advised what I could do in the mean time until my appointment. They even called the following day to see how things were going, and they called again when an earlier appointment became available, which I'm so grateful for. They contacted me before my scheduled appointment to let me know they were en route. Holly and Matthew, the owner's of Kaylor's, are exceptional; they're knowledgeable, efficient, and personable. I was beginning to think finding an honest septic tank cleaning company was impossible. I always try to do a little research on a service before I hire one so I know what to expect and hopefully can tell if I'm being lied to. I'm glad I did, because I kept hearing a lot of BS until I called Matt Kaylor. Finally an honest guy in a sea of dishonest businesses! Matt was honest, upfront with his fees and went out of his way to work with me and my schedule. I needed a cleaning and an inspection since I am getting ready to sell the property. He could have easily charged me for services I didn't need since he ended up doing the work without me being there, but he didn't. Instead he told me my tank was in pretty good condition. He also sent me a video of my property as he approached my tank so that I could know it was really my property and not some other tank. That was his suggestion, not mine. Not knowing who to call for routine septic service, I contacted the county to find out where my septic tank was. The county provided a map and several places to call. I called three including Kaylor's and immediately eliminated the competition. What I liked about Mr. Kaylor was his honesty and being upfront. One of the other guys I called said a rate of $150 plus x amount for each foot additional hosing and other confusing pricing. Mr. Kaylor said if your tank is 1,000 gallons, the cost is $450 to drain unless there is something else like a repair that is necessary. I paid exactly $450. He did not try to upsell or say something needed to be fixed when it did not. I love shopping and using local, small businesses because it pays for a daughter's ballet lessons, a son's ability to play sports, groceries for the month, a car payment, etc. Using locally owned helps keep families afloat, not lining a CEO's pockets. Our septic system was showing signs that it was near capacity. We reached out to Kaylor's Septic Service and they were quick to respond and help. They showed up promptly on the schedule day. We have an older house so we didn't know exactly where our septic tank was located. Kaylor's found it no problem and setup to begin the work to empty it. We have a large septic and he got it emptied and re-buried within several hours. He's very easy to work with, knowledgeable and efficient. He had given us a quote on the phone and he honored that quote even though the tank was larger than we thought. My family and I moved into an 80+ year old home last summer, all that I knew was that we had 2 septic tanks somewhere on the property. Not much to go by when I was trying to locate them. About a month ago after a lot of heavy rain the sump pump was running way more than normal so I assumed the tanks were full. Since this was our first home with a septic tank I really had no idea what to do. We called Kaylor's Septic Servicing when we believed we had a clog that kept giving us problems. He not only fixed the clog at a fair price but told us since he didn't need to use a snake he'd give a better price. He offered solutions to keep the problem from happening again, maintenance advice, and a more than fair quote for pumping and installing an outside access so we wouldn't have to dig the whole thing up if our many tree roots happened to get in the way again. He was fast (came the morning after we called the previous afternoon), very fairly priced, and offered much more help than he was even expected to. Great service! After calling several companies, one of the companies that was over-booked, referred us to Kaylor's Septic. This review is a few months over due. I do not usually leave reviews but this Guy is awesome. Friendly and upfront. I've used him twice and both times he did a great job. Once to pump out my septic the other time to install a new access cover. Cleaned up when he was done. Did the job at a reasonable price when the other companies complained and started adding crazy charges. He brought his wife who helped him out on the second job. Great family and so Nice.
