This was phenomenal. My wife and I did kayaking and snorkeling on our anniversary and it was tight! Got to enjoy the views and the ocean while having fun and exercising. Nice way to start a great day. We saw turtles, fish and it was beautiful. We saw all sorts of magic down in the water. Bradley is the man. He was our guide. Dude was incredible. Safety was always his main concern. He always kept that in mind. Shouts to Bradly also for being positive and friendly even when the winds started picking up. He was cognizant of the weather conditions, encouraging and always positive. The option to rent go pros would have been super cool but Bradley went down waaaaay into the water to take our picture. That was cool as well. They'll email it apparently! Anyway, highly recommend it.

On our last day in Maui we decided to do the snorkel/ kayak tour. We looked around and a lot of them were very expensive, this place was a great price. This was one of the best things we did on our visit. We got to see all sorts of different fish and tons of sea turtles. The best part was Kale, our guide. He was so friendly and informative about everything. He taught us so much about the history and all the islands. I learned so much on this kayak tour about the islands. Kale answered our million questions we had and afterwards we got some wonderful fresh pineapple. I recommend everyone go on this kayak tour. Best thing we did while we were there!

Our tour guide was Bradley, and it was really because of how awesome he was that made this experience so awesome!

My wife and I did the tour on a 2-person clear kayak on 12-Aug-2025. The tides were not too bad but…read morethe landing area was quite rocky, and it took about 15 minutes or so to be able to launch the kayak and start the tour. While the clear kayak itself provides great visibility, we sadly did not get to see anything below us as a result of the water not being clear enough. We stayed pretty close to the spot where we launched from in order to start the snorkeling portion where the tour guide tied the kayaks together for you to jump out and snorkel. I had called about how deep the water would be for snorkeling prior to the tour and was told "shallow" but the area was not shallow at all, and scared my wife (tour guide also apologized and stated that she changed the original snorkeling spot where it was more shallow to this other spot as a result of the original spot being too murky). I took a brief look at the area but could not see much other than a couple small fish. We had another couple that came along with us (they each had a 1 person kayak) and they also didn't appear to see anything as they wanted to go back (and we agreed). The tour was scheduled from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM but we ended up returning about 20 mins early (and as stated before, it took 15 minutes to launch). The tour guide was very polite and accommodating which is the reason I am giving this a 2 star. While my wife and I do not have much kayaking experience, this was not our first experience, and I had a kayak tour in Kauai which was wildly different than this experience. If you are an experienced snorkeler, you will get more out of this tour than us but do not expect to see anything from the kayak itself. Regardless, considering that it costs $125 per person, I think the value is very poor.

We found Maui kayak through a search and Maui Kayak Adv. had great reviews and it seemed to be on the side of the island we were on. Bonus... they are a B Corp. (look that up if you don't know) A company who gives back is super important and they are a small business, extra bonus. We had reservations for one day but the swells were a little "extra" so they called us to reschedule for another day. We had a little wiggle room and I appreciate that they cared about safety and even visibility in the water. Communication was super easy either via call or text and I was always updated on location of meet up. We were super lucky to have Heather as our guide. She was super nice and had great vibes and was super knowledgeable about the ocean life and geography around us. She took us to great spots and we saw tons of turtles amongst all of the other tropical fishes both shy and "brave" She even took amazing pictures for us of creatures up close by free diving and we got to download them later. Out of our on of our water snorkel adventures on our trip this was our fave: Heather was just all around rad. So support a small business who gives back to the community, and the environment and has amazing customer service and experience. I recommend Maui Kayak Adventure 10000000% Ask for Heather as your guide

She did a thorough introduction before we went out on the water, helped us get on/off our kayaks with ease, and made sure we were all safe while respecting the Hawaiian waters and their majestic creatures. We saw so many whales breach in every direction, heard their songs clearly above water and under water with the paddle trick. Kris also took a few photos of us while we were out there! It can be a little difficult to hear out there on the water, so be sure to speak up and ask your tour guide to repeat if needed. Would have loved to hear more about facts about the whales and Maui in general, and it'd be cool if the tour guides used Hawaiian words like "Huli" which means "flip over". Luckily we didn't huli! Tip: Be sure to hydrate, eat a snack, wear reef safe sunscreen, long sleeves if it looks cold, stretch your hammies, and use the restroom beforehand as they don't offer these during the tour. I wish I brought my hydroflask, but I survived! Also, help out your locals and leave a tip if they meet your expectations! No need to bring cash unless you have a place for it, they'll email you with the photos and their Venmo to optionally tip.

It was…read morereally awesome to learn how their mango farm works -- as someone interested in gardening, and especially curious about exploring the "food forest" permaculture side of growing food, it was really educational. She taught us the different plant groups that feed each other, and what order to plant to get the most productivity (and safety! We learned that papaya makes a good windbreak for smaller and more delicate plants, and agave makes a good firebreak!). I wish I lived in Maui because I'd be planting mangoes, papayas, bananas, coffee, and cocoa, RIGHT away. It was wild finding out how fast and tall papaya trees grow! These plants don't grow well in Seattle, but we are still going to take what we learned and see how we can apply similar features for our own food forest. I appreciated the very real perspectives about what works - as well as pitfalls and challenges with their food forest / mango farm. The tour was really interesting and fun, and we even had a resident cat named Tyson who took the tour with us! SO CUTE! The view there was beautiful, and though our tour group was tiny, I could see this being a fun activity for kids and families, too. Enough safe space for little folx to run around safely, and so much is stackable. She let us try mango (and wild mangos), ice cream beans (what an experience!), fresh coffee, and more. So good! They said they are going to do dinner parties here and I look forward to coming back to the Maui mango farm when we visit next time. Hopefully we'll have some good photos to show off of the garden upgrades that they've inspired. We really wanted to do something to support the Lahaina community (without being a disaster tourist, either), so visiting a regenerative farm seemed like an awesome choice, and I'm very glad we went. Bonus: since Olowalu was on our way back, we got a spectacular sunset, too.

"What are the odds of having concussion due to the high velocity of mango falling on your head?!?!" We were greeted by a very nice couple and served a very refreshing glass of lemongrass and cardamom leaf tea to start to hear about regenerative farming. It was invigorating and soothing at the same time. It was especially helpful for me to get over the mild cold during this trip. The walk was very easy and informative and we wore tennis shoes but it could have been easily done with flip flops or sandals. At the end, we were served delicious box of star fruit, papaya, and different mango samples . Also, we were given some recommendations on good local eats, cafes, and bakeries and some or then we spent time ourselves to find!! They are planning on serving dinner as well in the future mango farm tours so be on the lookout!!!
