My son's favorite thing was the horses at the very end of our tour. I enjoyed the tortoise because they're very stealth and fast. They look slow but they chased after my son pretty quickly. Definitely worth visiting and paying $25/adult and $20 for kids 3+

She was so excited as she had never seen an alpaca in real life before, and suddenly she was hands on feeding babies and moms!! She was soooo excited! So, many thanks to Padma who made our experience so special, and Sassy Girl, Lola and the other alpaca friends we made, and Snow White the bunny and her fluffy pals too. Padma showed us how to refine the fleece and spin it and we had a go at carding too, and she answered all my questions with ease. It was fascinating to find out more about alpaca....did you know they only give birth during the day, usually in the morning ? Easy to book online, especially with Kamaaina rates being honored, easy to find even though you are venturing into someone's driveway, park and walk a few steps to the alpaca so good for children and elderly/disabled, a small gift shop selling beautiful gifts is right there, compact, cute and incredibly fun. Perfect birthday present for a 10 yr old girl ;)

Not much walking-- the most is from the entrance/cafe area to the field with an outlook, where you learn about how the Dole family rekt Lanai's natural environment to farm pineapples (kinda evil). Frankly, the history behind mass agriculture and farming is pretty bleak-- you can't help but feel a sense of injustice for the native Hawaiians. Our tour guide was thorough, objective, while empathetic. From thereafter, you're sitting under an overhang while listening to your tour guide explain the stages of coconut growth & trying the different pieces. We tried: - Coconut water - Coconut jelly - Coconut meat - Coconut shavings ... All from coconuts of varying ages, getting the chance to see how each tastes different from the other. Kai even popped by with a surprise: fresh palm hearts! My bf and I frequently use canned ones for salads-- the raw flavor blew our minds. The entire "tour" took around 1.5 hours. The cafe in front is charming, lovely drink & food offerings alongside a gift shop. You can tell that the staff here actually care about the history of Hawaii and respect the island.

We got to taste coconut meat and shavings of coconuts (it was a great moisturizer for the skin too) I'd highly recommend this tour and the cafe! Cute little place. The view is stunning and Wendy and Kai are such kind and generous hosts. Don't expect a rigorous yoga class, the yoga is kind of secondary to the joy of the goats, but they state all that up front. Mike was not only an expert in all things chocolate, but he is easy to understand, he takes time to teach you and answer any questions and he has a great personality! It was pouring down rain the day we went, yet the tour was still a great success. We started out at the farm and then concluded down at the shop. You get to taste fresh cacao, nibs, cacao tea and kakao brew - of course at the shop are the full chocolate bars. Mike clearly loves what he does and enjoys sharing that love with his customers. The only down side is that after listening to Mike you will be ruined forever on eating any other general retail chocolate. So long Hershey and friends!
