Because of traffic and coming from wailea we made like 15 min before closing but the staff could not have been more welcoming and did not rush us. We were able to have a quick tasting in the lounge and they gave us an extra one. The staff at the cafe were also very helpful with all the gift options. The chocolate was so smooth. I should've been more adventurous with my tasting options; otherwise they were all delicious.

We stopped here to try some local chocolate and found out that they have a wine bar upstairs that does chocolate pairings you get five free trial pieces and can purchase more along with pairings for wine and liquor. They also had hot chocolate shakes coffee and more. The staff or very friendly and helpful. The chocolate was amazing. We bought a bunch to bring home would definitely recommend the guava blood orange mango and the OMG or some of the best but the basic single origin was also tremendous. Don't miss this stop.

We were looking for ways to fill our day before our red eye and didn't want to do anything that would require a shower. Hubby had seen this tour earlier in the week, so I checked on availability that morning and was able to book the factory tour for same day (there's also a farm tour when you see how cacao is grown, harvested, etc.). The factory tour was a little more pricey but 1) we didn't have another option and 2) it appealed to me that it was led by the CEO. Yes, the CEO! His name is Gunars Valkirs, and his journey to being a chocolatier is very interesting if you ask him about it. Their business model and commitment to quality chocolate is also notable. Anyway, the tour included Gunars walking us through the factory to see how cacao goes from the pod to the package. At the end you get to pick 4 flavors of their chocolate to have in the tasting room. They also give you cacao sorbet, which is SO GOOD (it has a fruity flavor). Hubby and I shared the samples and I never thought I'd say this, but I had had enough chocolate by the time we were done. Surprisingly, we both really liked the mango chocolate. For taking the tour, each person gets $25 to spend in the store or online, so we got a sampler to do a tasting with our kids at home. The company was hit hard by COVID and the fire. Taking the tour is a great way to help restore the Lahaina community. We've done the Hershey tour, and this is much more up close and personal. If you want to know the difference between candy (like Hershey) and high quality chocolate (like Ku'ia), I highly recommend this tour.

The tour is very knowledgeable, the dark chocolate is amazing, the trees house lunch is delicious!

I had the pleasure of going on this tour today. Let me say I am not the biggest chocolate fan, I don't hate it but I can live without it. Well that may have just changed. I wasn't expecting much I figured it would be nice to check out and something fun to do with my mom. So I booked us on the farm and factory tour. I am happy I did my mother and I both had a really nice time. We arrived at the tour check in which is the factory and store. We were greeted by the employees when we got there and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I like the parking as it is covered in solar panels which makes them able to run completely off grid and kept my car very cool for Lahaina. The store is not the biggest but they have many different options as far as choices of chocolate. We had brandy as our tour guide and she was incredible and you can tell that she really enjoys her job. She made the tour fun as well as informative. It is nice that they are bringing agriculture back to Lahaina. We did the farm tour and it was informative and nice taking a walk thru the cacao trees. The best part is the chocolate sampling in the treehouse at the farm. Local or visitor I definitely recommend checking out this tour. It is reasonably priced and can be fun for the whole family.

Didn't take any pictures but I had a blast! Our tour guide Brandy was super passionate and FUNNY! Love her as our tour guide :) got to try 9 different flavors of chocolate, which helped me decide which chocolate flavor to buy as souvenirs. What a wide opening experience seeing cacao trees :) highly recommend!

I did the farm tour with my husband and college aged kids. We had a lot of fun, touring the beautiful farm, learning about growing and making chock, and then going up to the "treehouse " to taste chocolate. Highly recommend.

I took the chocolate factory tour on a day they gave a golden ticket (pretty much ticket to redeem for free gift chocolate after your tour). I felt like it was worth it because you get to learn so much. They take you into the factory and explain how the chocolate is made as well as explaining the differences from their chocolate and store bought. You get to try three stages of the chocolate and it really makes you appreciate the effort that goes into making the delicious treat. Whole tour actually was about 1 hr 15 and then you get to taste 7 more chocolate pieces after. We also got a $25 gift card per person to but stuff at the shop. I don't think you would go wrong with either of the two tours especially if you love chocolate. This is definitely the best chocolate I've ever had and the dark chocolate was not even bitter. Note - It said it expired but I used promo code FACTORY20 which gave 20% off which is quite a bit for the $125 per person tour price. The discount makes its $100 per person and you get a $25 gift card so really not too bad.

I'd been a chocolate factory tour guide myself back in the day and always wanted to see cacao growing on the tree and here I got that chance. Stephanie is a knowledgeable and entertaining guide and I appreciate what this nonprofit is doing for Lahaina. If you want to taste chocolate in the canopy of a cacao forest, Do this tour!

What a wonderful tour. Such a different and unique thing to do in Maui. Sean our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we learned so much. I especially like the hands on learning techniques. 100% would highly recommend the lunch tour! The views are amazing!

Christy B.

Amazing tour and SO MUCH CHOCOLATE! I had no idea dark chocolate could taste so good! And the fact that they give 100% back to the community and charities. Highly recommend the tour. You will not be disappointed. Mandy was great! Super knowledgeable and fun. A great tour guide. She deserves a raise!

Age requirement? Can I bring a 6 month old and a 4 year old with our group?

There are different tastings and tours at Maui Chocolate. The Farm Tour doesn't allow children under three on the tour and the chocolate tastings I would recommend for adults. The chocolate is all dark chocolate and might not be something that kids… Read more

O'o Farms delivered a truly, unique and interactive experience with their Farm Tour and Farm to…read moreTable Lunch. I took my parents for their 44th Anniversary and we all love outdoorsy activities so I knew we'd all enjoy this! We were asked to arrive at 10:30 am for the tour and it lasted until 1-1:30 pm. Arrive with good walking shoes, SPF, light sweater and hat (it can get either a little chilly or hot from the direct sunlight), and well hydrated if possible. We were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tourguide, Kate from Maryland! She shared with us so many facts about the locally grown produce from herbs, vegetables, fruits, to the friendly worms, to compost and facts about the Farm and the hardworking staff! It was interactive because we got to sniff the herbs, taste the locally grown lettuce, carry a chicken (as seen in the photo with my mom), and even pick the Cherry coffee! After the 2 hour tour, the last hour takes you back to this beautiful seating area in a garden like setting for your 4 course lunch! Each course, the chef comes out and shares details of each course. First course was a Medley of Greens grown on the farm with Tangerine vinaigrette. It was a generous portion for our party of 3 and tried to eat it throughout. There was spiraled carrots and radish with julienned snap peas. Second course was Pan Seared Ono (their proteins are all locally sourced) with Mamaki Tea and Lemongrass Rice with Bok Choy, Collared Greens and Cabbage. Third course was my favorite! I'm usually a big fan of fish but the chicken was so savory and that rub was delish! It was an Organic, Cage Free Chicken with Coffee Cherry Citrus rub with Caramelized Coffee Honey Hash of Carrots, Parsnips, Rutabaga and Celery Root. The spread was a Turmeric and Parsnip puree. Last course of dessert was the O'o Freshly Brewed Coffee with Milk and Simple Syrup with a Dessert Platter of Fresh sliced Pineapple, Tangerine and Apple with Homemade Chocolate Truffles. The meal left us full and nourished! What a wonderful anniversary gift to give my parents. We truly enjoyed it and even made some new friends, both local and visiting.

My son enjoyed the mahi mahi tremendously, which for a kiddo who only eats chicken normally, is a huge compliment! I thought the tour was very informative and interactive as well. Our guide Molly let us pick, smell, and explore a lot of the plants they have growing on the grounds. She also very nicely picked a tangerine for my son because he really wanted one. Overall, worthwhile experience, despite the long drive from Lahaina. I would do this again, whether it is the brunch + coffee tour or the lunch tour!

I would not recommend booking with Stardust Hawaii, LLC…read more The tour experience was disappointing due to poor communication and misleading information. Prior to booking, I specifically asked if the tour was fully operational and was assured that it was, with only one stop being eliminated. This turned out to be inaccurate. We were not informed ahead of time that multiple key parts of the tour would be canceled. Instead, we only found out after we were already on the bus, and at that point, we were not given the option to cancel or make an informed decision. Several advertised stops were not included, and no proper substitutions were provided. Despite this, when we followed up with the company, they claimed we were taken to a red sand beach -- which is simply not true. This kind of inaccurate response only added to the frustration. We politely requested a partial refund due to the changes and lack of transparency, but this was denied. Customer service was poor and not understanding, especially considering the $250 per person spent on this tour. Overall, the issue is not the tour guide, but the company's lack of honesty, communication, and accountability. I would strongly advise others to reconsider before booking.

Don't make the mistake we ALMOST made!…read more We arrived at the little shop, got our little free sample, looked through the window at the chocolate making machine, and were about to make our purchases and depart. Then something caught our eye about tastings upstairs. So up we went. Fabulous breezy little open air bar with plenty of seating and a view! A full menu of drinks and nibbles, and a gazillion ways to pair chocolate and alcohol. Our server Carrie was fun and friendly and knowledgable, and took great care of us. Mr. M and I each had a glass of red with our chocolate pairings, and our companions tried the port and liquor pairings. So much fun and so delicious. What a lovely way to spend some time.

Well, it would've been fine had our entire table received their order. The brownie was not good. The build your own brownie "experience" was lacking. Only brownie and ice cream was included. At least give a topping included, then up-charge for more. On top of that, the $1.50 for sprinkles was a disgrace when the kid didn't get even $.10 worth. There was a tad confusion around the alcohol as well. Understand there's permit restrictions but it would've been nice to know when placing the order instead of when the drink was delivered. Signage isn't clear either. The "only 21 and over past this point" should have a blurb about no alcohol in the main seating. Oh well, we worked with it. Oh, and the sweat that dripped into the ladies plate who was doing the tasting experience was gross - even she said something and got attitude back from the upstairs hosts. Again, three stars awarded as we didn't really partake in anything outside of the cafe top level. Giving the benefit of the doubt the rest of the experience would've probably been good.
