My wife and kids, from high school through university, have always felt safe dropping off or picking up items on their own. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The units are bright and airy, which makes it easy to see what you're doing and reorganize your belongings. The halls are wide, so moving larger items is straightforward. The covered loading bays are a lifesaver when you're hauling out Christmas boxes on a wet December night. In summer, the units stay cool enough that heat and humidity have never damaged anything we've stored. Highly recommended.

We trusted this facility to provide a safe, clean environment--but that trust was seriously violated. Our unit became infested with rats. We first reported this to the front desk in 2023 and never received a response. With no help from the facility, we brought in our own shop vacs, industrial cleaning supplies, and rat traps to clean and sanitize the unit ourselves. We also noted that the door's rubber seal had been chewed through, leaving an obvious entry point. When we returned in 2025, we raised the issue again with two staff members, Daniel and Sonja, who said they would "just shove the rubber back in with a screwdriver"--a completely unacceptable and temporary fix. The infestation destroyed some of our belongings. We had to discard all the blankets and linens that had been protecting furniture due to extensive rodent feces and contamination. Pictured. We cleaned the unit ourselves and even installed our own traps. I emailed the site manager, Chris Wasney, with clear photo evidence of the infestation and damage. His response? He refused to speak with me at all, citing that only my brother's name is on the lease--despite the fact I am the one actively managing the situation and have been on the account as a secondary contact and access for 14 years. There is no reason Chris could not co-ordinate solutions with me directly. I could not imagine seeing these photos and not responding with kindness and professionalism. Maple Leaf's handling of this issue has been completely dismissive and unprofessional. After years of loyalty, this is how long-term customers are treated. I strongly caution anyone considering storage with this company--especially if you're storing valuable or irreplaceable family belongings. If something goes wrong, you may be on your own.

Second time winning a storage locker from this location…read more It's a really good central location. Walking distance to Capilano Mall. Most of the staff are excellent! Extremely friendly and helpful. They take care of the auction paperwork quickly and efficiently. The office is cozy. They have chairs for everyone to sit in and a hot tea station with cookies ! You get a temporary code which allows you to access, clean and remove the storage contents until 10 pm which is so very appreciated. They take a cash deposit for the locker, which is returned to you upon emptying and sweeping it out.

They also offer lots of well priced moving supplies, including mattress covers, tv boxes, dish packing kits, glassware kits, wardrobe boxes bubble wrap, tape, brown packing paper as well as markers, packing tape, various size standard boxes and to top it all off, they even sell excellent locks - it's a one stop shop. There are flatbed dollies on site to help you streamline the process. They also have resources on their website to help you plan your storage, what's allowed to be stored and gives you estimated prices, whether it is drive up, upper level, ground floor, car storage, camper storage, mailbox size or upper level (ladder accessible for light objects.) I still try to comprehend why we went from roughly 8 hours estimate to pack and download to 13.5…read morehours. Multiply that by 250$ Kevin the owner is not good at providing proper estimates. Very polite and I am sure he will politely respond here as he did privately. The 1/2 drive charge before and after is a cost that is being added after the fact not in original discussions. (Happened both for packing and move) After my correspondence with him on the extra hours he turned the blame on me that the packing was not done right (unorganized) and the van was parked a bit further away from entry for download. As per packing, his own team were involved in packing majority of our stuff. They spent 5 hours the week before. Furthermore the big portion of our stuff was already stored in their pod since July. Yes They were still many boxes left in our house but very little furniture to move: - piano, dining table, 3 disassembled beds, 1 sofa, 1 coffee table, 2 bed side tables, 2 book shelves, one drawer, 3 chairs , one bbq , one lawn mower and one tv So I still don't get why it cost us this much time and money. Yes we were in unfortunate state that the spot in front was taken. That for sure slowed things down, but not 4-5 hours extra. Yes I made the stupid move to watch my kids around 6 pm instead of watching them for entire time so I let them do the download on their own. Did the download actually took from 3 to 8 pm no breaks?! I would like to believe they were truthful. I tried to resolve this with Kevin privately. . We ageeed that the guys worked hard and took only their claimed 30 min break! I raised the issue of lack of management and proper estimates and that needs to be fixed and for that I need to be compensated. He offered me future discount for a future move !!!! (Which basically is a very pretend polite way of dismissing me) I moved with this company 20'years ago. I was happy enough. That's why I went to them this time. But I will never recommend them again as it will turn to be very costly.
