It is a lovely atmosphere to catch up with friends. Our server was polite and well mannered. They have a great lunch deal as well. I went with the Spicy Eggplant with coconut rice - Chinese eggplant quartered and stir-fried in a sweet and savory chili sauce. My friend chose this as well. We also started with the Roti Canai -Grilled Indonesian flatbread served with a curry dipping sauce. This is my favourite dish on the menu. I usually order this. Both dishes were excellent and fresh. I love the flakey roti and the dipping sauce has the right amount of curry in it. The eggplant was tasty as well and perfectly cooked. It came with rice (we chose coconut rice for an extra dollar) and a spring roll. The spring roll was crunchy and filled with veggies. All together a great meal.

We got a bunch of entrees, I honestly can't remember every single thing we got but it all tasted delicious. We ordered the Lemon Chicken Prawns, Crispy Chicken Strips, the Curry Chicken, Dendeng, and a noodle dish that I forgot the name of. I really liked how everything was served family style. Everything I tasted was a hit. I loved the crisp and texture of the Chicken Strips, as well as the Lemon Chicken Prawns. The Curry Chicken was flavorful, creamy, and had a little kick from the spice but it was great. The Dendeng was great too, loved the sauce that covered it. I'm also really impressed by the different veggie meats they used in all of the dishes, they all tasted good. Service was fast and all the servers were so thoughtful and accommodating. We also met the owner and he was so kind. We had a good time at the end getting to know each other. From our time here, we were met with very down to earth people here. I'll have to come back and try their buffet next time. Thank you for taking care of us! We loved it, consider us lifetime fans!

The customer service was great and the staff were friendly and nice. The place was not that busy the time we went there which was a bonus for me. The space itself is small but they have plenty of seating and can serve larger groups if needed. Most of us ordered the lunch combo which is normally a single rotating curry option but they made an exception and let us order whatever item we wanted from the main course. It was a great opportunity to sample whichever item we wanted. It took awhile for the food to arrive but I think that was more about us being a big group than a service issue. The smaller tables were in and out much faster so you shouldn't have a problem getting back to work after lunch if there's only 2-3 of you. I had the shahi malai kofta which is served with a side of rice in the combo. It was rich, creamy and delicious. Exactly what I was craving. All of my coworkers were also really happy with their meals. I am very happy to have this great option available for lunch downtown and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Good Stock has become one of my favourite vegan spots in Edmonton. I've been here quite a few times…read morenow and I've never been disappointed. In fact, since they've opened, they've only gotten better. They now offer great options for catering and to-go. You can buy an entire lasagna or casserole for a really reasonable price. Great for those nights you really don't feel like cooking. My favourite menu item by far is the buffalo chickpea wrap. I love that they choose to use more natural ingredients for their food rather than opting for processed fake meats. This wrap is spicy and hearty and it comes with your choice of side. I don't think I've ever finished my meal in one sitting. The portions are very generous. My second favourite would have to be the loaded taco bowl. If you're looking for a healthier, gluten-free option, this is it! It is a taco salad on a bed of kale and basmati rice. The ground "meat" (made from walnuts) and their cashew sour cream are SO close to the real thing. Another awesome thing about Good Stock is that they make their own vegan cheese. I always end up taking a one of them to-go (the truffle one is my fave).

I ordered soup (what else do you order from a place called Good Stock?) and a bagle. Certainly the soup was hardy and it was good but not in the same league as the Prairie Soup Company. The bagle was excellent. It was covered with a generous spread of jam and the jam tasted like home made. Their menu is large and should have something to thrill most vegetarians. There are lots of tables so bring all of your veggie friends. Service was very friendly in a genuine sort of way which is certainly appreciated. If you are looking for a casual place to take your veggie friends this could be it. Did I mention that the jam was excellent?
