He looked at it and told us we had lug nuts loose on both of the front tires. He tightened all of them (even replaced a missing lug nut) and sent us on our way, no charge. Knowing that we were "in a fix" he could have totally taken advantage... but his kindness and character showed through! I wish we lived closer so we could continue to patronize his business! He even called us about 30 min after we left to make sure the car was running better. I gotta tell you, this guy has customer service figured out! I highly recommend this mechanic shop.

This review is specific to the Grismer located on S Patterson in Dayton…read more Oil change, rotate tires and new windshield wipers. Pretty basic stuff on my son's car. Appointment made, service done...well, most of it. They only reattached the skid plate on the bottom with one of several screws required. So, it detached to the point it was scraping along the road at ~40 mph. Thank God it wasn't on I-75. Imagine that large hunk of metal coming out from underneath the car ahead of you at 70 mph. It could have killed somebody. My 17 year-old son was smart enough to stop the car pull into a gas station and, before I got there, a good samaritan was nice enough to crawl under the engine compartment and managed to remove it and the one screw. I just called to explain to the manager what happened and he said they couldn't get us in today to fix the issue but in a couple days they could look at it. No apology, no sound of astonishment or remorse. Owners of Grismer - this is YOUR team - they reflect on YOU. This wasn't the first time this shop has done something like this to our cars. Not sure how Grismer stays in business. We all try and buy local and support the home team - sorry this gaffe could have caused a serious accident involving my son.
