Our Jeep had begun to act weird in showing flashing pictures on the dash, not being able to shift gears, and then not being able to start it. So we took it in to this company on St. Paris Pike to find out what was going on. Turned out to be an electrical problem with the dash. And then the battery needed to be replaced. Not having done this before I was pretty nervous about price. But after about two and a half hours of waiting in their comfortable waiting area, the lady came out smiling and gave us the price of about 350. I was so relieved and appreciative. Now it's been a year later, and the battery has once again been acting in a similar way. Having to jump start the jeep every time you turn off the engine. So we took it in as their work was guaranteed. Once again nervous about price as we had just brought it in less than a year ago. We were told there was a warranty on the battery and not to worry. Explanation was given in great detail what was going on with it. Apparently a cell was dropped from it, a manufacture problem, and all needed to happen was an exchange of the battery. We were quite relieved after all the possible scenarios we were thinking of. These people know what they're doing and are very professional, friendly, and seem to care about your vehicle. As I was driving to Illinois from Massachusetts my car starting making a strange ringing noise. Thankfully I was stopping part of the way in Springfield because when I tried to get back on the road the ringing had turned into a terribly squealing that could be heard a mile away. My sister suggested Rogers Garage (the place she takes all her families cars) and I'm so glad she did! They looked at my car immediately after I called and managed to fix it up at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. Took my Ford Escape in for an oil change on April 29. 2020. Called and made an appointment at 8:30. Showed up a little after eight and was home by 9 o'clock. Total cost was $32 and change. My 1990 Mercedes broke down on Route 70 halfway between Columbus and Springfield. I found Roger's Garage on Yelp and made arrangements to have AAA tow me there. 24 hours later, despite the fact that I was a stranger in town, and that they had a full lot of cars scheduled for repair work, I had a verbal quote (very fair quote, I might add). I gave the go ahead and the next morning the car was fixed and on the road...no surprise charges...exact price as quoted. All of the staff that I dealt with were knowledgeable and courteous. A very satisfactory experience. If I didn't live 800 miles away, they would be my go to place for all repair work! read more

Below is my original review of Rogers. They have changed and are no different than a chain shop. Perform test and diagnostics I explictedly did not authorized. Poor choice now. If you are looking for an honest local garage, look no longer than Roger's garage. The always do good work and many times charge me far less than I expect for repairs. This review is long overdue. I was first recommended to Rogers Garage in the early 90's by another small shop because they did not have the equipment needed to repair my car. As a commuter college student, I appreciated that not only did they get me back on the road quickly, but they were fair, honest and friendly in the process. Over the years, I have recommended this shop to many of my friends and family and they are now customers. What I like best is that I can trust what they say and they don't use unethical tactics to scam you. It is also great to be able to support local family owned businesses in Springfield. read more

This is my full review of Roger's Garage, I have the necessary documentation to verify all claimed repairs. On Tuesday September 8th I dropped off my 1991 Ford F-150 Lariat XLT with a list of concerns at their newly opened Enon location, but provided no signature authorizing repairs. On September 9th I went and spoke to the Enon mechanic Keith regarding the truck. I informed him in no unclear manner that I wanted a written estimate before any service was performed, as the truck was a recent purchase, and if repairs would exceed a certain amount it was going to be returned. Further, the vehicle had a warranty that required prior authorization and written estimate prior to work being performed. The following week September 16th I spoke to Keith again who started listing possible issues and I again reminded him that I needed a written estimate prior to work being completed. On Friday September 18th I was called and asked if the vehicle could be taken to their main office at 4040 St. Paris Pike, I agreed and stated "As long as I get the estimate before they actually fix anything." I was assured by the woman on the phone that it would not be a problem. September 23rd, I called to check the status of the vehicle and was informed they had not yet gotten to it, but would be doing so the next day and to call back. September 25th I called and spoke to Mike who informed me that he did not know where progress stood, but that he was aware that work had commenced. I asked why I had not been informed prior and was asked if he could have Todd call me back. When Todd called he stated that the front end issues, the rear seals, and the ignition switch had been done; that the only remaining work was the passenger side window regulator and door lock actuator where the only remaining issues. I asked why they had not asked for authorization prior to the repairs being done. Todd informed me that when they take apart a vehicle to check for issues it is there practice to repair issues because, "It doesn't make sense to take it apart and put it back together, just to take it apart again." I again reiterated that I had not given authorization and that I had needed the estimate and preauthorization for the warranty. At this point Todd told me "We have to move forward because the work's already been done, I mean we can put the old parts back on and you can come get the truck, but it won't run and will need to be towed." Essentially telling me I had two choices, let them finish the work or let my truck be dead. I spoke to another mechanic that evening, who informed me that what Todd had told me was incorrect and that without authorization he is required to restore my vehicle to the condition it was delivered in, and that he could not just say that it would not run. After researching ORC 109:4-3-13 I decided I would go into their office and reclaim my truck, September 29th, as them performing repairs prior to getting verbal or signed authorization was a violation of the law. I went in and offered to pay the cost of getting the estimate and for the window regulator and door actuator, but would not pay for the repairs done prior to authorization. The woman working the counter acted as though she understood and that we would work together to create a resolution. However, this was apparently just a way of stalling until Todd could return, as once he arrived she and him became rude and unwilling to work to resolve the issue. When I told Todd what they were doing was illegal and showed him the law, he stated that "I've been doing things this way for over thirty years and I am not going to change it every time the law changes just because one person complains. I am going to have 300 vehicles through here this month and you're going to be the only complaint." At this point I informed him that I would take legal action if necessary and his response was, "Go ahead, take me to court, it's your word against mine and who are you?, no one." I ended up having to involve the Attorney General's office, after several negotiations through the Attorney General's office Todd Rogers took the bill from their estimated $3200 - $3500 to $1477.91 including tax plus $410.00 from the warranty. They agreed the parts would be the only charge, and that all service fees would be removed from any disputed work. However, apparently Todd Rogers thinks he had the last laugh. First off, this is the only review I have ever been compelled to write. I brought my vehicle to Roger's Garage for AC diagnosis, because it wasn't working. For the $100 service fee , I was told the air compressor was bad. I declined to pay another $775 to fix it and brought it home. I realized , when I got home the plastic cover was left off the compressor. When I brought it back to Roger's Garage the next day, the mechanic said they could install my part for$225 ($75hr) . When I purchased my own new compressor for $300 at Autozone, I called Roger's Garage and was told they don't make anything on the part , so they have to charge $300 ($100hr). The owner reluctantly agreed to honor their mechanics original quote. After waiting all day for a phone call, I called at the end of the day to find out if my vehicle was done. I was told I needed to talk to the owner that was on lunch. I waited for another 2 hours , before I had to call back again to talk to the owner. He said the air is still not working, it now needs an ECM computer that will need re-programmed to the car. The quote was for another $800 and they would not guarantee that would fix it. After purchasing a used ECM on line and installing it, the air conditioning still did not work. I took it to another local garage and they simply recharged the system and found NO AC relay, in the fuse box!!! It is possible that nothing was wrong with the compressor at all!!! I talked to the owner at Roger's Garage and he could not explain why there was no AC relay and how it was diagnosed WITHOUT power to the AC. He told me they only guarantee work done at their shop, with their parts and took absolutely no ownership in a wrong diagnosis, and hung the phone up on me. If I would have followed his direction, I would have had almost $2000 in my vehicle and it still would not have been fixed. I see now why the previous owners had over $5000 in repairs (left the receipts in glove box) over the last 3 years, by going to Roger's Garage. Concerned Consumer read more

Wow, where to start.... Last Friday, my college aged daughter was driving across the Midwest on her way to school. As she was driving east on interstate 70,her car suddenly stalled and would not start. Needless to say, she was a bit frazzled. She called a tow truck, and the tow driver recommended taking the car to Rogers garage. As soon as she got there, one of the team members gave me a call to let me know that everything was OK, and that my daughter was there. They told me they would get the car in as soon as they could, but based on the symptoms, they believed the alternator went bad. They had already ordered a new alternator and a battery just in case they needed it. Being that it was already after noon, and they closed at 6:00, they did everything in their power to get her back on the road. After they diagnosed the car, it was confirmed that the alternator was bad. Shortly before 6:00 PM, they called and let me know that the car was done. Much to my surprise, what they charged me was substantially less than what I was expecting. And because the battery that was in the car was good, they did not replace it. True honesty and very fair prices. As a parent, with you daughter broken down hundreds of mile away, it is very nerve racking. They treated my daughter like she was one of their own. Are you looking for an honest place to fix your car? I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and Rogers Garage has been taking care of my cars for the past 20 years. I feel like I am treated like family and when I have been in their waiting area I can see they treat their other customers the same way. A few years back, I spent a few months in Florida and had my oil changed at a dealership there. Since I had my vehicle checked over at Rogers before I left home, I was shocked when this dealership told me my vehicle was unsafe to drive and attempted to scare me into spending hundreds of dollars worth of work. I called back to Rogers Garage, and had Todd talk to them about my car. They then backpedaled on their assessment and sent me on my way. When I returned to Ohio, Rogers checked my car over and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it! It is a real eye opener to see how deceptive some shops are and it makes me appreciate that I have a trustworthy garage that is looking out for me. read more

My vehicle was side swiped on the drivers side causing damage to the mirror and bending the inside bracket for the drivers window so the window would no longer roll all the way up. Brought the vehicle into rogers garage on 8/4/16. Repairs were done poorly. The window still pulls away from the frame causing strain on both motor and window which can be seen and heard. On the way home I came to discover that the one touch up and down for the drivers side window no longer worked and the rear drivers window switch no longer worked at all. Took the car back to rogers garage where the mechanic, Todd, looked at the switches and said he would order the parts and give me a call when they arrived. Two weeks later, 8/19/16, I went back to rogers garage to find out what was going on with the parts. Todd happened to be there but didn't remember me, never ordered the parts, REFUSED to acknowledge the window was still working improperly even though it could be plainly seen. Tried to give me excuses and tried to convince me that the drivers window worked just like the undamaged passenger window when it was plain to see the difference between the two. Todd told me he would be happy to get the car back in and take a look at it. I'm presuming he was happy because now he could charge me again fixing what he didn't fix properly the first time and to charge me to fix the switches he had broken. To summarize: very poor quality of workmanship. Lots of excuses. No accountability or willingness to admit what they had done wrong. Also there policy is to call someone only if the PARTS are over $50. The labor on my vehicle was $176 and I never received a phone call. read more
