He goes to the auto parts store, texts me while he's doing that to tell me to send him the $25 for the service call because he's about to run out of gas. Then comes back and proceeds to tell me I owe him another $25 because he went and picked up the part a few miles down the road. Okay.... Whatever. Go out this morning to head to work and my brake pedal goes all the way to the floor (which he was supposed to fix by replacing a brake line). Drive to work, drive home after work, pedal still goes all the way to the floor, and barely stops. I texted him several times throughout the day letting him know something isn't right and that he needs to come look at it. I also texted him several times because he never sent me my invoice/receipt, which I still DON'T have... After work, thinking that maybe I just need to bleed the lines, (I'm not car stupid) I look under there and see that he hooked the new line up on one side, but bent the other side of the line all to hell, and shoved the bent, detached end of the line up above the gas tank, so there's brake fluid everywhere. I have a specific story to share from Friday morning, but before I do, as I was reading through all the reviews here - dating back nearly 10 years - I came across only one negative review. Wow! I'm not surprised that so many are 5-star positive, but impressed as I read all the stories others have shared! But then again, that's the reason I'm here: to report incredible extra effort, that I honestly couldn't have imagined. This morning I was driving to work when I hear a slight "pop" and then I just hear hissing. "Shit." I thought as I started to pull over, but I was close to a small church parking lot so I turned in there instead. I was getting out to put on the spare but decided to call Supertech to see what they thought. I was just down the road from Super Tech Heavy Duty after all, so what could it hurt? Maybe they'd suggest trying to put some air in it and then bringing it down to the heavy-duty shop. John picks up and when I told him where I was he just said, "sit tight, I'll be there in a few." I wasn't expecting that at all! I called Supertech, not Superman, not AAA. But in about 15-20 minutes here he comes in his personal vehicle but dressed in his professional uniform. He gets out and has me move the car a bit to find where the damage was, but couldn't find it. Out comes the compressor he brought along. He puts some air in and has me move it again. There it was... and he showed it to me... a two-inch tear that went from the outer bottom of the tire into the sidewall. No fixing that. So I start getting out the tools to put the spare on and HE DOES THAT, too! Not only that, but before he even finishes putting the spare on, he calls back to the shop and has two new replacement tires ordered so that he beats the cutoff for getting them delivered today! Are you freaking kidding me?! So he finishes getting the spare on and sends me on my way. Three hours later Matt calls to say they have my new tires. I take the car down and drop it off. Two hours after that "Your tires are done... Oh, and we did the oil change you had scheduled for next week, too. And checked brakes and fluids and so on..." Are you KIDDING ME?! Today you guys literally turned "Shit." into "HOLY SHIT!", and I can't thank you enough! I definitely WILL be back!
