Katy Railroad Station, Katy Texas at the Railroad Park Information & Tourist Center, 5615 First Street, Katy, Texas. The people of Katy restored Missouri-Kansas-Texas (Katy) Railroad Depot, in a unique Downtown "pocket park", which is a Historic Site and serves as the City's information center with brochures and maps, and features Katy Heritage Society Railroad Museum and an authentic red caboose. This is an amazing little park which is great for photo opportunities. The Station House and the Red Caboose have been expertly restored in every detail band placed in a small park which is a beautifully landscaped area with benches and an old town clock. It is located on the main road. I spent almost two hours seeing, touching and reading. I was briefed by an expert town person who was volunteering her time. The information and tourist center is open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. There is just so much to see and read. You will love it. read more
