If you are looking for a place to go for a quiet and relaxing break from your kids then this is the place to be. Waldo's is right on CO River and has only 9 spacious RV spots with full hookups. Cellular signals are strong, many free HD antenna channels, and if you desire more, wifi is also available. Location couldn't be better, it's like camping out in the country on a ranch with big beautiful old oak trees. We camp every Spring in Texas Hill Country and this is the most relaxing and enjoyable campground we've found, I've already made future reservations before we depart tomorrow. The area is full of history for you history buffs. In 30 miles or less you can drive to Fayetteville, Round Top, & La Grange.

The resort has a beautiful pool and hot tub. An office/clubhouse that is spacious and extremely nice. The staff, especially Nancy, the manager, is very accommodating. The restrooms and showers are among the very best I have seen anywhere. I highly recommend The Hill Top for visiting Brenham, Houston, or even Austin.

It was all of our first time here at Splashway Waterpark and we were super impressed! From purchasing our tickets online to getting inside the park things were super easy and breezy. Like everyone else has been noting be prepared to fill out a waiver for entrance when you arrive as each person in your party will need to fill one out (digital/online) and show a QR code of your confirmation before you get access to the park. It was awesome we were able to bring it our own food, snacks, and drinks on our own! I loved this option as we have some picky eaters and drinkers and ultimately saved on costs for us on buying essentials like bottled water and electrolyte drinks to keep us hydrated of course! But don't worry if you don't come with anything as there are plenty of food options and fresh food & drinks for you to order throughout the park. We opted for funnel cakes to boozy margaritas and even pizza too! Rides and features for the waterpark were so much fun and safe. We had such a great time walking around exploring what we wanted to get on and beat through the June heat. Plenty of tubes and lifeguards all around to make your fun even safer and a no-brainer to try all of the rides. We especially loved the cool and semi-rapid lazy river. Their lazy river was wide and feels much longer than other Texas waterparks we have been to. We loved it so much we spent most of our time here. We didn't do any of the campground parking or RV grounds use as we had a hotel in a nearby town to be able to hang out with each other and have some hotel accommodations so I cannot speak to that experience here. Lockers were super easy to use and rent so don't fret about any valuables you have as they will be safe. There are 3 options for locker sizes too that can hold things like wallet & phone only (if needed) or a large bags and ice coolers. We were super impressed with our overall experience and will definitely be back in the next year for sure.

The laundry room is nice with professional size machines. And they even have ones dedicated for pet laundry so you don't have to worry about getting fur on your clothing. The machines do not take money, you pay either by card at the kiosk or by downloading the app, which is actually awesome as it lets you follow the time left....pure genius in my book! I did meet a few people while in there and every one of them were extremely friendly and had been there for a long time. They had nothing but good things to say about it so that in itself makes me feel like I made the right choice. It is an Adult centered resort so there are no children running around all hours, not that I have anything against them, but when I'm glamping I want to enjoy the peace and sounds of nature. That's all I have for now, but will update after I've had a chance to actually do something other than laundry.

Members came in all shapes and sizes so the old adage that "these places are full of unattractive people" is totally false. The owner Larry has thought of everything when it comes to fun and accommodations. There are places for pitching tents (no pun intended), adorable cabins, permanent residencies, full RV hookups, pool, hot tub, sauna, Club Larry, play house, restaurant and a stage/pavilion. There is propane, electricity, a small store, and the front office can guide you to things to do locally. Additionally, they have weekly themes and activities. We appreciated the level of respect and limits that are demanded by the park. There was emphasis placed on keeping things to a reasonable level of fun and not letting things get dramatic or out-of-hand. Larry is certainly a straight-shooter that doesn't allow absolute insanity. We have yet to meet anyone rude, difficult or judgmental. Beautiful property! Great accommodations! Easy 10min walk to Round Top centre (along a main road which I wouldn't like to do at night). Owners were very responsive and courteous. Only opens for specific events such as the antique fairs in Spring and Autumn. Adult only park, nobody under 18.
