Concha ($1.20) - This concha has a distinctively yellow colored interior. It's really pillowy and soft yet very rich like brioche. Usually I find conchas to be much drier and much less rich. The crust on top is crumbly and sweet. The bottom base is really the standout here. (4/5) Empanadas Crema ($2.49) - This is a denser bread that tastes like a cracker, kind of like a saltine. It's flour and water, unenriched, but not dry. The inside is filled with stabilized cream. It's not too sweet. (3/5) Pao Milho, Pan de Elote ($3.50) - This is dense and heavy, wet with tons of corn, whole kernels and pieces embedded throughout. It has a strong corn flavor. They have pretty typical Korean bakery fare and pricing seems to be just a bit higher than competitors, probably somewhere around a 10% premium compared to similar family owned bakeries. On my visit I got two pastries to try: Soboro Cream ($3.49) - Instead of a delicately crackly cookie crust, this bun has a much softer, almost moist topping, which may be due to them placing the bread in the packaging before being fully cooled off, allowing the bun to steam too much. There's a bunch of sweetened stabilized cream inside that's sweet and oily. The bread itself is kind of dry and crumbly, either not a typical milk bread recipe or perhaps it had been sitting on the shelf for too long. (2/5) Corn Mochi ($5.99) - This comes with six pieces. The corn mochi has a nice chewy tapioca flour base. There's black sesame sprinkled throughout giving a burst of nutty flavor. I expected to see whole corn kernels baked inside but I think they just use corn flour in the dough. It's way less sweet than the soboro. Texturewise, the inside is bouncy while the outside has a harder baked crust. (4/5) Overall Le Bon Patisserie is a pretty average Asian grocery store-paired bakery. It's more of a place to buy bread for convenience rather than anything special, but it does the job decently well.

I f***in' love milk bread... and while I don't use drugs, I imagine the euphoria I feel when I bite into milk bread is similar to a drug high. La Bon's milk bread is literally the worst white bread I have EVER tasted. It's worst than any grocery store brand and tastes like paper mache, wait, no.... I ate paper mache as a kid and this is far far worse. The pure and utter sadness I feel every time I put a piece of that shitty white cardboard into my mouth is worthy of a country western song. If you want to make a great torta, grab a Bolillo roll cut it in half and insert the tamale, seasoning optional. The place is small but they kick out some great stuff at great prices with friendly staff to answer your questions.

She then proceeded to tell me she never done it this way and have to message her boss but less than 20 seconds later she just applies it. Gave attitude and all for what reason? She kept talking back to me, didn't care to maintain eye contact and pushed the bag full of pastries towards me like she didn't have a care. I always order sea salt caramel coffee and this is the first time it doesn't taste as it should... Unfortunately I didn't see a name tag but she gave attitude to the customer behind me as well, hopefully it doesn't continue for the rest of the customers who's undeserving of that. Even if you have a bad day, doesn't mean you should project it onto people especially customers. Who wants to start their morning with bad coffee and even worse attitude? Management should go through trainings especially customer service and valid military IDs for active members and veterans.

This was at 8AM - first time I've visited an 85 this early and I wasn't expecting it to actually be decently busy! They also had the boba ready at 8AM and I couldn't resist getting a drink as well. Boba Milk Tea, Medium, 25% Sweet ($4.85) - I've only gotten boba in the afternoon from 85C, most recently from the Lynnwood location, and it wasn't very good at all. I'm guessing they don't rotate the boba at all, so ordering it earlier is better. The boba at 8AM is actually pretty good with a surprisingly decent chew and bounce and a good sweetness on the exterior that's also sticky and soft. The pearls aren't really consistent in size, but are consistent in texture, which is more important. For the tea - 50% sweet is usually way too sweet for me at 85C. 25% is good and not too sweet. Unfortunately there isn't much tea flavor and it mainly tastes milky and creamy. Milk Tea Rating: 3/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 White Chocolate Strawberry ($2.60) - Very soft bun with the typical artificial strawberry flavor. The bun is super soft with a nice subtle bounce. Small pieces of softened white chocolate are embedded in the strawberry flavored cream on the inside. It's a well balanced bun that's sweet but not cloying. (4/5) Overall this is a pretty decent 85°C. Very convenient to visit to pick up fresh bread after grocery shopping at Ranch. Bathrooms - Two unisex rooms
