I really couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. From the moment I called to inquire about their services with Mary, their customer service was top-notch. She was friendly and knowledgeable and provided me with a clear estimate and answered all of my questions. On moving day, the team arrived right on time, fully equipped and ready to work. They also called ahead to give me a pre-arrival time. They handled my belongings with care, wrapping fragile items and ensuring everything was securely loaded onto the truck. Their efficiency was impressive; they worked tirelessly but never rushed, which gave me confidence that my items were in good hands. What stood out the most was their professionalism and positive attitude. They made what is usually a stressful day feel much easier and even enjoyable. We moved about a mile from our old home. We called three moving companies for estimates. Katy Movers had the best price and were the most responsive. They worked with us every step of the way. We had some things that needed stored longer than others. They came and moved everything out of the old house and were extremely efficient. A few days later, when we were ready, they moved everything in our new home. Again very efficiently! They came back again to unload our last bit(the items that we needed to store longer). Extremely efficient again! The crews were very efficient- nothing was broken and no damage was done to our furniture or walls. Christian was in charge of our move. He was awesome! If there was a ZERO rating that's my score. One of the movers was very rude and loud. He did not show respect To me or my furniture. Broke things as well. Things were stolen. They asked for a tip, saying they would wait for me to get it from the bank. Things scared me and I didn't want any trouble, so I went to the ATM. When I reported this to the owner, he dismissed it, telling me he would look into it. He did NOTHING. Do not waste your time and money. read more

The comments to my review are complete lies... This company is extremely untrustworthy and does not care about quality and good customer service. They simply want to hurriedly finish the job and collect their payment, regardless of the carelessness and rudeness of their workers.. They are not concerned about taking care of your items, which is why this move went sour during delivery of items to new storage unit. By the way Mary, I mentioned good pricing options were provided, but you were unaware and miscommunicate insurance options beyond the state law standard.. Therefore, I came by the office in person and spoke to Aurora to clarify insurance beyond the .60 per lb. prior to booking my move.. Are you happy now I mentioned your name? This company is covering their tracks as they did not treat me right during this move, and I was the Client.. They wanted payment before the job was finished, packed one storage unit very inefficiently and are attempting to "twist" the truth from what truly transpired... I know what happened that day, as do the workers and owner, Aurora.... They are completely untrustworthy and their comments to my review confirm as such... Was given a very quick response to my move request from Sealy to Houston. Gave me what was explained to me as a Senior Citizen quote. I underestimated the number of boxes I had packed myself in prep for the move. Was willing to pay the overage. Arrived at my new apartment. Movers placed all boxes in one the living room around the sofa and my recliner. None of the boxes placed in rooms as marked. Had hurt my knee and needed at least my recliner to sit in. Only place to sit was on the bed the movers did put together. Called and spoke to the manager. The men started to leave my old address. Had to catch them as they had not loaded furniture from my dining area including a break front and chairs for table. My TV arrived at new address. Found the remote laying on the floor at my old address Along with a vacuum sealed bag of clothes, lamps removed from bedside tables and set on floor still turned on. No response from anyone at the moving company to say sorry for the mistakes. They did however not hesitate to cash the check for the less than completed moving job. Had to make 4 trips to old address and load my car 4 times to complete the move that should have come in ONE truck load. Never use them again. Guarantee. Katy Movers was awful! I would have given them 0 stars if that were allowed. Overall, I felt completely trapped. Once the majority of my belongings were packed into their truck, it began to rain. Only then did the movers point out the gaping whole in the leaky truck, I had few options other than to just get through the move. I was told mixed stories regarding policies by several different employees and I had a very difficult time communicating with the management. I paid for the movers by the hour, but they were not working consistently. My possessions were handled carelessly and were damaged due to the insufficient moving equipment. This job was not handled in a professional manner at all. I was never properly reimbursed for any of the damaged items. Find another mover! read more

The worked hard, they worked thoughtfully and carefully, and they got the job done rapidly. I have never seen so much packaging material.. even for the smallest tchotchke. These people aren't fit to assist with a bowel movement let alone moving a home. First, they failed to provide packers as agreed upon, then once we straightened that out, they didn't bother to pack the dresser drawers. The next day, the movers showed up and claimed the TVs needed "special" boxes @ $40 ea that they conveniently left back at the office. I put the sets in the back of my truck and moved them myself. They then complained about the furniture and one mover refused to move a box upstairs in the new house, claiming it was "too heavy". They dropped a roll top desk and destroyed it, then got snotty about it. When the owner of the business was contacted, she got a serious attitude, which coincided with that of her employees. We ended up firing the whole company and had them unload into our garage, leaving a second load at the old house. They left items on the driveway and refused to even speak to us. After all this, they expected me to drop everything and drive from Richmond to Katy to get their packing blankets out of the old garage, which they left behind. They were told that I would get them out at MY convenience, which I did the next morning. We hired Square Cow to clean up Katy Movers' mess and could not have been treated better. They literally laughed at the "too heavy" box story and moved it no questions asked. They also couldn't see how Katy Movers managed to destroy the desk. I give these people a five star. I had two ladies come three days before and pack all of my breakables. The ladies were terrific. They came in and started working right away and did not stop till there four hours were up. They knew what they were doing. They always asked questions if they had any. The guys that did the actual moving, we're just as great. Came in and started working and did not stop from beginning to end. Nice and polite. I recommend these people for any of your moves and I would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

I too would give a ZERO if I could! They moved me a year ago and Im still upset with how terrible the service was!! The main manager, Aurora, is beyond RUDE. I had a nice, long conversation with her about how unhappy I was with the move. She agreed to give me back 15% of my total price. Never got a check in the mail!!! Called to ask about where the check was and all of a sudden she is not going to give me back a dime. This was right around Christmas time and it sure did put a damper on things. Im so glad there is a place to put an honest review on here. I give anesthesia in the operating room, and I certainly don't treat people this way, so why does this company feel the need to treat their customers so poorly. I had scheduled and confirmed packing services with this company. 2 women showed up at my apt. around the time that I had scheduled. Both were very uncouth, rude to the extent of evil! They claimed that they could not use my bubble wrap to pack my things in my boxes, and that they had to use their wrapping paper! When in stated that I wanted them to use my bubble wrap as I had been promised that I could use my own packing supplies, when I had talked to Christine West to schedule the move, I was connected to Mary their supervisor, via phone. Mary also was rude to the extent of evil! She even raised her voice at me, the customer. While I was on the phone with Mary, I did not notice that 1 of the women took my packing tape and tore off pieces of it and dropped them on my things! They spoke to each other in Spanish and then threatened to leave and not do the packing if I did not agree to their terms. I let them leave. I found another unpacking company who came a little later that day and did a good job. read more
